I just fixed mine....

Plug it in to a computer...

hold the center button and menu at the same time...

the screen will go blank and come back on...

keep holding the center and menu...

It will then connect to iTunes and you will have to restore it.

ITS EASY ALL U NEED TO DO IS KEEP THE CENTER BUTTON AND THE MENU BUTTON PRESSED FOR LIKE 5 SECONDS IT WILL BLINK 2 TIMES THEN IT WILL START WORKING JUST FINE!

To fix put in disk mode when the screen turns blank before the apple logo comes press pause then plug in your iPod to your computer and restore it. Note: restore plugin and restore when on disk mode

I just did the play and menu button like 5 times then did the normal reset and menu button and it worked again. Mine was FLASHING too.

The problem is essentially a connection problem to the screen - My ipod nano functions in the same way as a Shuffle.

- Try it by pluging in your head phones

-press the menu three times

-scroll all the way to the bottom (right)

-and press play, your songs can still play with no navigation

this has happened to me like 5 times now, what i do is i plug it in to the computer and after about 3-5 minutes it'll read it. It keeps flashing and wont show up on itunes, but just wait like 5 minutes.

i can get it to reset, then hold center and play, and to recognize it and say do not disconnect, and it charges it. but after i disconnect it from being charged and reset it once again stuck on apple logo, i have tried system restoring and idk what to do

hold in play and menu till it resets like in the video then hold in play and rewind it will take you to the diagnostics menu and you can reset it properly from there

@neillpaddy Thanks. I did that, and got the diagnostics screen, hit reset, but it still wouldn't do anything. HOWEVER, just goofing around, I pressed menu and the power button together. After about 10 seconds I got another screen asking me to recharge. I plugged it into my macbook and it FINALLY was able to read it. I restored it, and all is working again!!!!! THANKS!

Hey I have the same prob on my Ipod Nano 4th Gen except it flashes faster.I just called Apple and they told me it needs to be serviced.The only way my Ipod works is if its on hold.But then again I cant do anything else with it because it is locked,Hope you solved your issue and if you did please tell me how!

@bpadar Its an internal battery error. You cant fix it yourself unless you know how to solder and carefully take apart electronics.

Best bet: google ipodjuice then check out their 3rd gen nano battery replacement

this time you go to your itunes....look out for ipod summary screen....then you restore it....it may ask you to update...then do so....then sync ur ipod again......the disconect it....turn it on....it shud be ok...gd luck... :) <3<3 MUSE <3<3

hey there..i got the same prob as you...n got it repaired....try this........when the logo flashes...press the selest n play button at the same time.....a kind of checkmark shud apear.......the conect your ipod to ur pc....go to my computer...right click on the ipod icon..then format 2x.......then you disconect ur ipod..n do them same thing again...but do no format.....
