Cast of heroes. Agah alone is worth a thumb-up, but throw in Cardiel at the peak of his game and it's a no brainer. Would have loved to have been there.
Yeah, it was a sick demo. When we got there for the weekend we had no idea that they were turning up. Luckily I brought my video camera and we got all this footage. Still stoked about it to this day.
@SwitchRich its the sickest shit ever....i cant believe you have seen john cardiel in real life.....there is not one person i would love to meet more than john Cardiel ..
Soo sick you got footage to back up the picture on tws! I cant imagine how stoked you must of been to see that skating go down,,I've been lucky enough to have the pleasure of seeing John Cardiel skate at a demo he did with the vans team in birmingham, his energy on his board is mind blowing! stoked!
Yeah, it was amazing. We were really lucky too as we had no idea that the demo was going down when we decided to go down to Lea-on-Sea for a long weekend. To be honest I'd never heard of him before I took the footage but I was completely blown away by his first couple of runs. In his case the board literally looked like it was stuck to his feet. Karma and The Gonz were sick too.
No doubt, they all ooze style, the Gonz is a living legend! the no grab backside air he does on this video is effortless. No matter how far skateboarding has evolved it's always good to watch classic footage and still get buzzed off it!
I'm glad you liked that backside ollie. One of my favorite tricks too - it almost looks like he's riding up a wall of glass.
This video almost died a few years ago. I'd lost all the original tapes during a move but Iast year I manged to borrow a copy from a friend. 'steamjam' digitized it for me and put it on youtube. It's great to see that people still enjoy watching old footage like this.
Cheers, I was really surprised when I saw myself holding a camcorder in the background of a TWS shot this morning. It was such a great demo...I can remember it like it was yesterday.
