  • What a delightful freak.

  • His clap is funny.

  • @TheVoidedPresence

What are you talking about? All I was saying is, when the scene cut to the joker clapping I got a quick scare and why did they have to break the news to Gordan with the Joker around, it killed the moment for him.

Anyways I've read the killing Joke.

  • @BANZITOMMY

I think they replied to the wrong person. I think they meant to write that to Wormtail96.

  • The new actor for Joker better be as good as Heath Ledger. Or better.

  • @TheSirClockwork There won't be a new actor for Joker for TDKR.

  • @TheSirClockwork Joker's not in TDKR.

  • @TheSirClockwork

No one is playing The Joker now. It's Bane in the new one.

  • soberbia actuación de ledger

  • Joker is the best villain ever. He beats even Hannibal Lecter

  • How could they not have any DNA or fingerprints on the Joker? I mean, surely it must match someone's, right?

  • When it showed the Joker clapping on got a quick fright lol. Man why did they have to break the news to him there.

  • @BANZITOMMY Not always. People can live off the grid if they truly want to. Besides, part of the charm with The Joker is that no one truly knows who he is or where he came from. It's all in bits and pieces. Go read The Killing Joke. You'll get a way better understanding on the matter.

  • A potato peeler at 0:05 xD

  • the way the joker acts in this movie... almost makes it a silence of the lambs if there were superheroes

  • WTF? A potato peeler? 0:05 I'd hate to get shivved by the Joker.

  • @normansmother1 I think I read it on IMDB's website, but i'm not 100% sure.

  • 1:04 talk about destroying a special moment

  • joker......is cool

  • i always thought the implication of the skinning knife is that he uses it to flay people

  • my cousin scared of this joker XD

  • LMFAO bro joker is crazy and funny at the same time thats what you call a boss (y)

  • ahhaha in this seen it said that heath ledger clapping was his idea and he did it when he wasent suppose to.... amazing actor! r.i.p. heath!

  • @VOICESINMYHEAD1 Yeah, and Nolan was about to call cut when he caught Heath out of the corner of his eye and kept telling the camera crew to get a shot of him clapping. Yes, he was really good.

  • So many knifes........Where does he get it besides robbing?

  • i heard the clapping was improvised

  • The part where Heath claps is not scripted, he just did that..

And you can totally see Gary's face when he realises Heath's clapping XD

  • @MisterCovek

Also read it, good eye. :)

  • Something as simple as Joker clapping can be epic..

  • I know its hard to believe, but i actually think that Bane (Tom hardy) is gonna do it better than Ledger did :S You never know when its films by Nolan

  • Problem, officers?

  • I want the Joker as my personal clapper

  • @jeremyrules2 When the Joker clapped he wasn't supposed to he was just supposed to be doing nothing really, however Heath Ledger thought it would be a little odd if he clapped,

  • @jeremyrules2 No you fuck, that wasn't in the script. Now of all, you look like a jackass. Do your homework.

  • The Joker clapping was indeed Heath improvising, actually.

  • No the joker clapping was scripted....

  • Ledger's a genius! He actually IS the Joker! He knows that if the Joker were a true psycho, he would try and confuse as much people as he can! He does this via the clapping, he has no reason to clap -- yet he does clap!

Not even in the script is marvelous! This is why the people looked shocked! Possibly not at disbelief of the Joker clapping -- but at the shock that Heath is clapping whilst not being instructed to!

Heath was a hell of an actor! Just incredibly mind-blowing!

  • other things found in the joker's left pocket: fake teeth; a gun; grenade; dildo; confetti; senna...

  • @majafaja999 a banana peel, some hair gel, spare face paint, some paper, and a DVD of the animated series of Batman.

how did it fit in, you ask?

well, that's a mystery that we will never solve...

  • That guy who named him commissioner was in LOST his name was Richard Alpert lol

  • The only knock I have with this film and any other great film we see nowadays is the damn high tech cameras they use. Whatever happened to the good old days where things were kept simple and use of CG crap was abandoned. Case in point, the original batman didn't use any complex camera work or any of that crap. Don't misunderstand me I LOVE the Dark Knight movie as much as the original batman, but it could have been made that much more enjoyable just keeping simple camera shots.

  • @kotulakj2

Dude what are talking about?? The Dark Knight uses mostly practicle sets. Besides the purpose of CG is allow for much more complex shots that could not be done practically. I am really annoyed by all these people who talk about CG as if its the death of movie making. Are you like 60 years old or something, because it really is annoying when you have people in their 20's whining about CG. Last I checked that is what we have been growing up with.

  • I love the way he just stares and claps... you can just see he is a pure genius!

  • fun fact: he improvised the clapping! HOW THE HELL CAN THEY NOT FIGURE OUT WHO HE IS OR WAS BEFORE!?!

  • I LOVE THE WAY HE LOOKS AT THEM

    that smile is epicc

  • I think out of the brilliant things in this scene the one that always stood out for me is how there is nothing on Joker. This guy just suddenly appeared and brought hell to Gotham; no origin, no records, just a face of evil. This is what makes Joker more than just a man; he is like an entity of evil that showed up. A pure, evil, and absolute face of chaos and anarchy that cannot be bargained with, bullied, or negotiated and no one knows anything about it except for two words; The Joker

  • heath basically told him "congrats, know go fuck yourself" LMFAO

  • di you know This Scene Was improvised by Ledger.... its wasn't part of the script.

  • lol a potato peeler..

Never realized that until now O_0

  • Heath Ledger improvised all of this.. The Clap wasn't in the script. Chris Nolan just decided to go with it because Heath is a GOD.

  • @mb62011 Yeah if you look at some of the people in the clip before they cut to Joker clapping there all like "WTF is that?" lol they look surprised.

  • the detective looks like ned flanders

  • i dont mind what any other person says. HE'S SO SEXXYY <3<3<3<3<3

  • At 0:10 he looks kindof like Mark Hamill Joker.

  • I'm French and young so : sorry for my English. At the end, when the joker smiles and applauds, he scares me!

    Heath Ledger is the better!

  • Man, the first time I saw the Joker sarcastically clapping I laughed my ass off!

  • "Back from the dead?" That's what Heath Ledger deserves

  • @schnizelcreep I wish man, i really damn wish :'(

  • @schnizelcreep sadly not possible

  • heath ledger was one of the greatest actors and always will be

  • Oh dear lord, pause it on his hands. Thats just a orgasm waiting to happen.

  • his clap is not meant to praise.. its a form of sarcasm..

he reaaly is creepy...give me chills..

  • Gary Oldman is awesome in this scene!!

  • Where's Heath Ledger in this seen? I keep hearing he acted so well but all I see is the joker.

  • @TehMinecrafter1337 that's what makes him such a great actor. He IS the joker :)

  • Wow I'm not sure if I was seeing thus correctly but some

One asked if it was true if Heath ledger died and some one answered and said no he to young to die

Obviously that person lives under a rock because he died after he did this movie after an accidental over dose

Yes he was young he was 28 when he died

    But he's not alive

And I have to say I really wish I didn't die bc this was the best acting he has done and it wouldve been awesome if he could do the next on instead of another cheap imitat

  • Ah such a jolly fellow !!

  • Never underestimate a man you don't exactly understand... or wears clown makeup -XD

  • @symmetryful At that time they didn't know what Joker is capable of ... never underestimate a clown with a Glasgow smile ... lol :P

  • Well, he's not a poor loser...then again, he didn't exactly lose...

  • If you're happy and you know clap your hands....

  • Of couse Joker is clapping with his hand. He created the entire situation with killing Commisioner Loab.

  • Gordon's a good cop, he deserved that job!!! (dont get me wrong the sarcasm thing was funny)

  • owned

  • @fuckgd1

Wow sooo ur playing both sides

I happen to have watched lots of videos today

    All joker

Here u r saying someone else is a troll and u r the nice guy

    But in every other video

    U R THE TROLL

U have been yelling at ppl for talking about Heath

U freaked out on ppl because they love Heath and he's dead

    Wow

  • HQ MY ASS lol

  • IT IS NOT CROW MAKE UP, IT IS ORIGINAL JOKER MAKE UP, DID'T YOU WATCHED CARTOONS.

  • Heath actual came up with the make up for the joker

  • @Pinkranger87 mhmm and he did the clap even though it wasn't in the script. :)

  • @GiraffesMH dude r u serious? lmao he's fucking brilliant.

  • @Pinkranger87 really..oh no

he was influenced by ''the crow'' then??horrible

  • Love the random potato peeler...

And the pausing once the person takes it out of his coat... It's like 'wtf?' XD

  • @UndeniableNut joker is a sick minded villain...i love it! XD

  • @UndeniableNut i didnt even notice that

  • @UndeniableNut Shit, I've seen this movie dozens of times and I have never noticed this!

  • @UndeniableNut Yeah I love that, best part though is that he actually used the peeler. He used it to kill Michael Jay White's character lol.

  • someone told me heath ledger is now dead recently is this true

  • @Vel0citYY no he too young to die

  • @Vel0citYY r you serious? he died from a drug overdose right after he finished filming this movie

  • @LOZmaster85RB he shouldve not had that makeup

  • golf clap (you earned it)

  • MAY Heath Ledger's SOUL REST IN PEACE

  • Joker is so random.

  • It's Ricardo...

  • the joker acts the way he does becuz he knows how to adapt. put him anywhere and he's still gonna be himself. "you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup. water can flow, water can crash. be water my friends" -Bruce Lee.

"during the whole prosecution you failed to look me in the eye once. Its obvious your not in search of justice. It doesn't matter where you put me. Because my life is NOT in your hands. my life is in God's hands" -Tupac

    youtube.com/watch?v=kbaf_OzA5pc

  • That joker heehehehehahahaah

  • 6 people didn't clap for Gordon's promotion.

  • lol, I like joker's way, clapping..lol

  • thanks to this movie, I know clap like this

  • @mrfizy same here, his clap ROCKS!

  • that is something Joker would actually do though lol

    Heath is one cold actor

    R.I.P Heath

  • This scene is great.

Realistically though, they wouldn't place a dangerous serial killer in a cell with other people would they?

Aah well, it's just a film :P a great film at that!

  • Lol i've tried to mimic that clapping but i can't =p

  • Heehee. When I read on *I think it was* IMDB that he improvised that clapping thing I was like, "Dang. He's better than I thought!" :D

RIP, Heath! :.[ We still love ya!

  • What did Gordon mean when he said "I don't want anything for his mob lawyer to use"?

  • @neoYTPism He fears that harassing cops toward the joker might be able to repeal in court for the joker.

  • Still not sure if I get what that means @ThomasHayden1995

  • Once I got that clip in a post. No offence to Ledger, but those fans almost made me hate the movie. F*@n bastards.

  • I love how he carries around a potato pealer. lmfao.

If I was the cop emptying out his jacket, I'd be like, "I DON'T WANNA TO KNOW!!" xD

  • @AdanRules66 where exactly do you see fear in the joker (asking out of curiosity)?

  • lol he looks like a pissed little kid

  • LOL @ POTATO PEELER AHAHAHAHA

  • Hahahahahhahaha the jokers clapping he looks really weird

  • The great actors always fucking die young...that really sucks.

And Heath was actually a method actor..he did his own thing.

  • no one actually knows who the joker is. no matter what game you play, comic book you read, movie you watch, the joker is like a psychopathic bloodthirsty ghost and when he tells you his past he changes the story each time.

  • Its because Heath had told Nolan how he was going to play through the takes being unpredictable because thats how the Joker character is. Plus you always want a realsitic reaction from the actors when you do something unexpected. When Heath started clapping Nolan imediately told them to keep filming.

  • how come it wasnt scripted? he was in front of a rolling camera while he did it.

  • heth legend is awesome he makes videos just that more awesome

  • if u put the scene on ur PSP using the fast play mode it looks silly LOL

  • like that scene!

  • Somehow I have a feeling Ledger put that in himself :P

  • yep he did he improvised it into that scene it was his idea LOL he did say he wanted to direct in the furture so he must have had many ideas to make the joker more believeable and crazy

  • lol hes the only reason why i went to go watch the dark knight...joker's my hero

  • i love the random potato peeler

  • @DirtyBird760 lol me too

  • @DirtyBird760 LMAO i just realized that hahahaha.

  • lioke hes retarded or something lol

  • lol

  • Ick! I don't like it that Gordon shook the hand of Anna Ramirez. That was as a sarcastic "congratulations" as The Joker's clap. She was lucky Two-Face spared her.

  • hahaha such a sarcastic clap

  • @DarkViIIain

I don't think it was sarcastic lol

  • ppl if you haven't seen him without makeup you NEED to!!! he ish fricken hottt... if u look up the joker without makeup scene. try to find a hd or hq one, and then pause when he shoots at someone. u'll see his face. HOTTTT!

  • Ich liebe den Joker

    meine Lieblingsfigur^^

    I love the joker

    my favorite evil charakter

  • what the hell is limes and lint??

  • it's knives and lint. he doesn't have a real clear voice dos he? lint is the fuzzy crap u find in ur pocket. it's fabric from clothes. now u know :D

  • it would be best to take off the joker's makeup for better analysis for his identity, lol, but yeah, other than tht little plot hole, the movie was awesome

  • regarding supernatural interpretations of the joker character (which I don't subscribe to, I think he's just cloaked his identity, I even think something happened to him and he went "insane" but killed everyone who knew that and who he was), it'd be kinda scary if they tried to remove his makeup and found that they literally couldn't. "Physical manifestation of an idea" indeed.

  • @mawhar you're sooo right!

  • t'would be interesting, but the Joker is already seen without his makeup when he tries to fire off a shot at the funeral.

  • what was coolest about this scene is, him clapping wasnt scripted, heath just improvised that. great actor! RIP

  • lol love that

  • Wasn't the reaction to the 20 year man (cop) saying "and you killed six of my friends"...when Joker looked at him and mouthed "six"....that wasn't scripted either - did you read or hear that as well? I love the sarcasm of the clap and the look like "someone new to play with."

  • I didnt know that wasnt scripted. That was awesome!! such a talent. sucks that hes gone : (

  • @salem8908 story would have been da rise of more freaks maybe penguin as an arms dealer who's taken over da territories left by da mafia along with scarecrow & 1 or 2 other freaks & their fear of Joker ever escaping from Arkham or MAYBE their plan to break him free thinking they could work together only to find out joker works alone and their plan backfires & they release a force of nature instead, out to wipe them all out & take back his city. joker wouldnt even show up until halfway through

  • @salem8908 I looked that up under dark knight triva. I can't believe it. He really was Joker ;) amazing.

  • @salem8908 really thats amazing!!. I heard aswell that hey improvised the mob scene were hey said: And uhm.. about the television so could plan! batman had no jurisdiction. That scene was in the script and about the GUY in the television so could plan and Heath made it the television so could plan that was cool 2. Great actor hey was my reason that i even saw this movie. RIP

  • @030terror can you retype what you said i dont understand. i actually am interested, just reword please.

  • @salem8908 hes dead?

  • @ipokeyouman Yes... Heath Ledger is dead... :'(

  • @jsierevogel no hes not hes too young to die

  • @fuckgd1 Uh, yes he is. He died from drugs I think... something like that.

  • @JurgenSierevogel yea i know plus that face mask is cursed

  • @salem8908

i do not doubt that he did , but seriously - how could you know that ?

  • @salem8908

Nolan was challenging everyone to come up with ideas. But he didn't tell that to Ledger: after the director saw, how Heath represents the Joker, he gave him full freedom with his role.

  • @salem8908 Seriously? Cool, I didn't know that. It fit perfectly in the scene, a very Joker-thing to do.

  • @salem8908 how do u know it was improvised?

  • I HATE LEDGER"S DAMNED FACE

Nah just kidding he was a good actor. No one can replace his joker accent

  • Awesome expression on his face...amazing pan up shot from his hands...Ledger was the Joker x

  • -"Why so SERIOUS?"

  • Whilst I certainly pity the guy who had to do Joker's dental, why the hell didn't they WASH HIS FACE while they were at it and photograph him?!

  • if it was no DNA,no prints...nothing related to him....washing his face wouldn't have sole anything...we surely washed all his trace :)

  • @timholeo he didnt use drugs for this you troll

  • After watching the movie, I realized they have to rewrite the script for the third movie because Ledger's performance was so damned GODLY. They can't replace him.

    RIP

  • You dont have any say in the matter commisioner gordon. The joker claps.

  • The Joker claps in sarcasm at Gordons appointment.

However, the unconventional way he claps, adds to the mockery.

  • Nah, I think he was genuinely impressed.

  • @wha65 i add my penis to ur fat mother, loser.

  • @wha65 What.... I clap like that...?

No I really do, to honor him of course!!

  • BEUTIFUL G

  • LOL I love the next scene after this one...

    "Evening, Commissioner.." xDDD

  • i love the way the joker is clapping!!!

  • the clapping of the joker him self was an improv. his clapping wasn't in the script ^^
