  • can you use the handheld mic and the body mic at the same time and if not, is there a way to do that?

  • @CHRnCRS13 No you can't. What you might be able to do is to get a y splitter to split the audio feed so you can plug that into the mic port and then one mic into 1 side and the handheld mic in the other side. It is something you will have to test out.

  • Actually what you should do is get a Y cable to split the input into two channels. Right Channel - Lav Left Channel - Shotgun.

  • @michael1980123 That is not a good idea because your voice would be picked up in both the lapel and the shotgun mic.

  • @mlmlivesupport The talent wears a lavalier and a boom operator holds a shotgun mic in front of and over their head. That is industry standard.

  • @mlmlivesupport You can then mix the two tracks together in post.

  • Excelent review!

  • Could You give a direct link to the adapter? I didn't see it on your site... thanks.

  • @nickJeen Make sure you visit the right link. I just added 2 text links to the page. 1 is for the microphone and the other is for the adapter.

  • @mlmlivesupport I think there might be something wrong with my mics, because i have this exact adapter and it does not fit.

  • @nickJeen It doesn't fit where? Is it possible to record what you are doing and upload it so we can see?

  • can you give the link to the converter from mono to stereo?

  • @sptaugner I just added a link that will take you to my page for the mic and convertor.

  • Very good info man, thanks just ordered 2 sets.

  • @HelpfulComputerTech great! I use mine everytime I use my camcorder. I know you will like it too.

  • @mlmlivesupport

you can hear noise in the video?

  • so i have a shotgun and have to use the mono to stereo but with this would you need two of them. one for mic to transmitter and one for receiver to camera?

  • @damionnblackk your message went to my spam folder. You only need the convertor for the receiver. It gets plugged into the camera.

  • What if the camera you are using doesnt have a "shoe" to mount what then? How do you then attach receiver to the camcorder?

    Please advise.

  • @fidelis06 I believe I answered your question in the video. There is velcro to attach the mic to the camera. If it wont fit on that, rubberband it do the camera or a pole or something.

  • We have WindCutters for those!

  • I want to use 4 wireless microphones simultaneously can the Receiver handle the 4 transmitters at a time. Does any one know?? Thanks!

  • I want to use 4 wireless microphones simultaneously can the Receiver handle the 4 transmitters at a time. Does any one know?? Thanks!

  • @videomanico13 Each mic needs to have its own receiver because they all have to be on different frequencies. Or you need a receiver that can handle multiple frequencies at one time. Your best bet is to get a good shotgun mic.

  • I also have a canon, I ended up buying a hague adapter for it so that mics can mount onto it. Great review, the mic looks awesome.

  • Thank you for this helpful review

  • Do they make one that will mount on a Canon? Specifically the XA 10?

  • @bradsull the mount that comes with it, fits the GL2 size. The cannon I have has a smaller show, so if there is a smaller mount that can be screwed in, then yes. I am assuming some 3rd party probably makes the mount for the smaller show.

  • Great Video. Extremely clear and detailed! A pleasure watching! Thanks for helping me choose the right mic :')

  • This video is awesome. Thanks for taking the time to do it. One question I have is on the handheld mic. I do a lot of interviews on red carpet events with a lot of background noise. Does that mic pick up lots of ambient sound around you or is it quiet uni directional?

    Thanks.

    Dave

  • @heyuguysblog I need to test it out. I have only bee using the lapel mic. I have some video work coming up, so I will see maybe this week.

  • is there any way to monitor the battery life?

  • @1chomps No. There is the only way to see if the batter is dead and that is by the light being off and on. If I remember correctly, they are 9V batteries, so you could test it with your tongue. As long as you don't have a condition that will throw you into shock. =o)

  • That was a really good review. Helped me make my decision. Will be ordering in a few minutes.

  • Thanks for the review. Handheld microphone was good.

  • There is no question that the lapel microphone attenuates the high frequencies compared to the hand-held. Certainly not objectionable and in many cases desirable to have that frequency roll off. This is a great review with all the necessary info.

  • This is an excellent review, Thanks.

  • Just got mine for christmas!

Just grabbed two 9v batteries! but they're not working ):

I hope the problem is the battery and not the device itself.

  • @OhSnapitsJuzDin Did you test the batteries with your tongue? If you get a good zap, the batteries work. Make sure you get the batteries in correcty.

  • @mlmlivesupport Turns out that one of the batteries didnt shock me. Made sure i had the polarities on the correct side ): but the red light doesnt light up ):

    i'm in trouble huh?

  • @OhSnapitsJuzDin If you didn't get the sting from the 9v battery, then its dead. When you can get a new one, then you can test it out.

  • @mlmlivesupport I got stung by one of the batteries. And tested it out. The box didn't light up ):, but i'm gonna get a new fresh pair of batteries tomorrow and test it out again. If not ): then i have a bad pair

  • @OhSnapitsJuzDin Thats not good. You should be able to light up the light with just one battery to test each one. Did you buy them brand new?

  • @mlmlivesupport Got them as a gift. Sent from Amazon. And yes they were new. Pretty unfortunate

  • @OhSnapitsJuzDin You will have to contact the seller about it if it doesnt work. They should let you know about replacing them.

  • @OhSnapitsJuzDin Just got NEW Batteries, and they work perfectly! I guess the battery that i had Last night had some juice, but not enough to turn on the device.

  • thanks for all the help btw

  • can you use both mics at the same time?

  • @Freakdeke88 No, just 1 or the other. I don't think a splitter would work because a splitter would be stereo but the mics are mono. The ports may be mono too. You could always try.

  • And you bought it? (refering to your extender?

Well at least this sounds good Wireless sounds good...
