It appears to me that old jerusalem has been rebuilt, and those who lived in 1856 that she said would live to see the return of Christ didn't see it and are dead today. Sadly between these and her doctrines that stray away from scripture and can neither be proven by scripture have pulled people away from the bible.
@Myhopeisinhim See, that's where you are getting misinformation. The temple will not be rebuilt and as to this date, it has not. They keep trying, but it won't happen until Jesus comes.
She said old jerusalem, and yet, it is rebuilt today. And yes, the temple will be rebuilt. Actually, they have priests training for the position, they have the emblems all ready. They even have one of the cornerstones waiting for the word. The bible even speaks of the antichrist defiling the temple that we're told that he will enter the temple and declare himself to be God, and set up a sacrilegious object, and stop the dailies.

cast down the truth. That he will succeed in all that he does until the end which has been decreed upon him is poured out. I have a feeling that the antichrist will somehow give them permission to build it when he enters into a treaty.
I agree that christ fulfilled the sacrifices of the old, but the jews don't believe that and continued their sacrifices even after the cross until the destruction of the temple in A.D 70. The bible does say however that sacrifices will be re-started and is actually spoken of in Zechariah 14, if I'm not mistaken.
It is possible that during this time he will use the sacrifices as a learning tool, a reminder so to speak of why he gave them to begin with, and what they were meant to lead to.

@broadaorb It's not all about Ellen White, it's about her writings telling us that whatever she wrote, was to get us back into searching the Scriptures, because they contain everything that we need to obtain Salvation. Her writings are like an index to point us where to search in the Scriptures. The Book of Mormon actually rewrote the Scriptures, but Ellen White told the church that her writings were given due to the lack of us searching the Scriptures. They were to point us back to the Bible.
The reason the temple will not be rebuilt is because Christ's sacrifice on the cross did away with the daily sacrifice in the temple. The Sanctuary is now in heaven and you can read this in the Bible, where it tells us Christ now the Priest that represents us and He is the one who has entered the Holy and the Most Holy Place. The earthly sanctuary was a shadow of things to come. The Mosaic law, sanctuary rituals, was done away with, but not God's law, the 10 commandments.
@broadaorb And the Law does not save us, it is merely a mirror to show us if we are sinning. It is Christ's blood and our faith in His Grace that saves us, but we have a work of Sanctification, getting ready to live in the new earth, where there will be no sin. So we look to the law to show us what sin is, so we won't do it. Christ working through us,helps us to perfect our lives, so we will fit in when we come to live in the New Earth. If Christ is living in us, the law will be a delight to us
One thing to remember was that Ellen White's writings were given by Inspiration from the Holy Spirit, so if we deny the Holy Spirit, that is the unpardonable sin, so be very careful in your study, be diligent, so you don't miss out on what is truth or not truth. I am just suggesting you withhold judgment before you do more thorough study, because if we deny the Holy Spirit's guidance, that is the only sin that cannot be pardoned. We have to heed the Holy Spirit in order to be saved.
As much as I hate to say this, she did not know the bible. She even declared herself that she couldn't understand the bible lest the Lord revealed it to her in a vision. She strictly said she couldn't understand what was written. Then after a vision, the answer would come to her. This was one of the reasons why those around her thought it was a miracle because she had no idea before.
She allowed visions to interpret the bible, rather than using the bible to ensure her visions...
She didn't understand the cross, or the day of atonement. If so she'd have realized that Jesus didn't pass through the second veil in 1844, HE WAS THE VEIL that separated the holy place from Most Holy. And hebrews speaks of how he entered the Most Holy Place with his blood, entering the presence of God which is what the Most Holy Place signified. How the presence of God dwelt above the mercy seat.

If her writings were inspired by the Holy Spirit, they'd teach what the bible taught, and quite frankly, they don't. They are full of things that cannot even be verified by the bible, but yet, the church accepts them anyway. Like the sabbath being before Moses for example.
The bible tells us that it was made known to Moses, that the covenant of the ten were not given to their forefathers, but with them. That the sabbath was given on the exodus out of Egypt...no one is shown as having...

In fact, the hebrew word for the seventh day sabbath doesn't even appear until Exodus 16 when the sabbath as a command was first introduced to man according to the scriptures. You want to claim that she pointed to the bible, no she didn't, she pointed to her visions as the source of truth by declaring that the Lord hath shown her, the Lord told her and she very bluntly states that her understanding came from the visions.

Take Joseph Smith for example...he was told in a vision, if i remember, that all the churches were wrong, that he wasn't to join any of them...and eventually he was led to the plates through which the book of Mormon was translated from.
Yet, if he trusted and knew the bible, he wouldn't have been led down that trail because he would have rightly discerned that the vision, or voices he heard were of the enemy, if he heard any at all. Same goes for ellen white, if she knew, she'd never...
have accepted the visions or voices she heard as truth because they contradict scripture, and she had no way of knowing because she didn't know the bible. I wish this were wrong because it has deceived many people, and many people are following her writings, and not testing them accordingly.
Remember a prophet is never wrong. God will never tell a lie just to find out who will be faithful. He will not make a mistake purposely just to find out who will still follow him. He always tells the truth
If someone speaks, "thus says the Lord", and it doesn't come to pass, you need not fear them because those are the words which the Lord has not spoken.
Just like mormonism, jehovah witnesses, one would never come up with the teachings of ellen white without having read her books. Jehovah witnesses claim that if someone were to stop reading their material, they'd enter into apostasy. Mormonism is the same because they only believe the bible as far as it is translated correctly, so you must have their books to know the truth.
You'd simply not enter the same understanding of Ellen White, if you studied the bible sola scriptura.

She always said her light was the lesser light to point us to the greater light which is the Bible. All things must be tested by the Bible to make sure they are true. We don't rewrite the Bible, but I have yet to find anything she has written that contradicts the Bible. I would say concentrate more on studying the Scriptures and less talk of condemning her, before you have a more thorough understanding of what has been written. The Bible was written by man thru inspiration of the HS.
We were told that God would send us prophets in the latter day, so don't close your eyes to any truth. The most studied men of Christ's day were blinded to Who Christ was, because they refused to see that this humble Man was the Savior. Not suggesting Ellen White is a Savior, she is not, but be careful in denying prophecy, because all prophecy is given by Inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Remember the Bible was also written by man, but with divine Inspiration. Study diligently to find the truth.

Nope, because the mark is not a sunday worship law. God is allowed to be worshiped on Sunday as well as any other day of the week. Worship is another issue where you worship his image, and the antichrist. His image isn't sunday either. The mark is something additional that will allow you to participate in his kingdom. Show that you've chosen to serve him, which will allow you to be part of his economy, etc.
God has given his Spirit to those who belong to him, and they are sealed unto the day of redemption. His Spirit is his promise that he'll come back for us. We can know whether or not we are his children, and whether or not he will come back for us.
We're not awaiting pronouncement, we can know today. Because it's not based on our works, we cannot bring our works before God as if it will help us get into heaven. The only thing we have, our only plea, is the blood of Christ.
If your trying to get into heaven by any other method, you are like a thief climbing over the wall, and entering in of your own works, instead of entering by way of the gate which is Christ and his blood.

EGW/SDA are leading people to trust in the LAW to be saved and to inherit eternal life. Satan knew exactly what he was doing when he conjured up the "Sunday Laws" doctrine so he could lead people away from grace and get people to trust in their OWN EFFORTS to make it in the end times.
"Sunday Laws" will be one of the end times major DELUSIONS to try to deceive Christians away from grace!
"Sunday Laws" teaches people that they cannot inherit eternal life if they do NOT PERFORM SABBATH WORKS!
It is time that all who profess Jesus stick to Jesus. The prophecies came not in old times by the will of man but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the holy spirit. Other matters: Salvation is a gift given to man upon acceptance of the death of christ. There is nothing you can do to earn it. Just as much as an apple tree doesn't bear apples to prove its an apple tree. Christians to work to prove that they are but simply because they are. Your faith without your works is dead.
It is very interesting to note that there are people who are still fighting over who will be saved and who will not be saved. It is also quiet interesting that there are many who continue to try and discredit another persons religion or denomination because of a sometimes misled conviction that the other person is wrong. You all fight over Ellen White and being saved without obeying the words of Christ.
Ellen White was 17 years old in 1844. It was William Miller who said Jesus was coming in 1844 and he was not an SDA. If you got this simple fact wrong, think of the other things you have wrongly attributed to the SDA religion and Ellen White. The SDA church was founded in 1863. Ellen White was given the health message by God and that's why SDA's live longer than any other religion. God, our Maker, knows how to make the body run properly and the nutrients required. It's in the Bible, too.
Ellen White proclaimed william miller claiming that his timeline was by God's hand, and when it didn't come true, instead of rejecting it, she searched for another explanation to make up for the mistake.
@Myhopeisinhim As did everyone else. The timeline was regarding the Investigative Judgment. William Miller was never an SDA and I doubt he even knew who Ellen White was.
People err, God does not. The disciples lived with Jesus and they never figured out He was meant to die for our sins until after the fact. We live and learn. Should we dismiss the disciples because they got it wrong the first time? Explain how Ellen White knew the health message and which was the right health message?
She didn't know the right health message. She kept changing her mind on what the people could and couldn't eat. Ellen White did not understand the scriptures, and it is evident by her teachings

@Myhopeisinhim First of all, it's God's health message, not hers. As she was enlightened as to what the health message is, her eating habits changed to what message was given to her. That message, given way back then, is still being proved correct by scientific discoveries still happening.

In dark times God winks at our ignorance and looks to our hearts and sees that we follow whatever truth we have. @Mekelsior Considering that the SDA church is a tiny Protestant movement around the entire globe, I would say that the majority of Christians saved are Sunday keepers, and you will find some sabbath keeping SDA among them as well. Luther kept Sunday, Miller kept Sunday, Spurgeon Kept Sunday, Tyndale kept Sunday, Wessley kept sunday, actually, all the great God blessed people in God's great church kept sunday.
@cornerstone111 True, most Christians from the time some 300 years after Christ till today, kept sunday, there were the church in the wilderness the people of God, the waldensies for example that did keep the Sabbath, there have always been a people that have kept the Lords day as God want it and not as man want it. @Mekelsior I am sorry to break it to you, but the Waldenses did not keep the Sabbath, that was one of the errors in the Great Controversy. Dr.Samuele Bacciocchi did the study, and said that the Waldenses did not keep the sabbath, and so does the head of the Waldenses today. The earliest Sunday observance recorded was 111AD, not 325AD. Bacciocchi always said that the Sabbath/Sunday dilemma is no easy matter to prove either way.
@BibleJesusChristian As for your question, During the period of the mark of the beast, that is AFTER national sunday laws are implemented and enforced and people are being cast into jail and executed, if they keep worshiping on sunday they will break the commandments of God our Lord Jesus, but if they will be lost because of it? It is in the end up to God, what He writes is that IF you get the mark of the beast (Papacy) you will be lost. It is not my words my friend. =)

Study the beatitudes, as long as you are on the path you are in a saved relationship to Christ, it is about daily surrendering our will to Christ and inviting Him to live in our hearts, to dayily die to self. Sure it may be hard and we may fall, but if we continue to repent, then yes we are saved.
@BibleJesusChristian So how do we get saved by God? First, we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are Justified, we believe His promise of Redemption. Then we Repent, this word means that we turn away from our sin, sin is the transgression of the Law, and God wants us to be on the path of Repentance, which is a gift from God. Then as long as we are on His Path we are Saved, that is we are having a saving relationship with the Lord. Study the Beatitudes.
@BibleJesusChristian The Christian experience, it is called Sanctification, it is the process after our Justification, we are justified by Faith, Christ accept us as we are, be it a drunkard, a fornicator, a murderer but He then lifts us up and changes our hearts, the new birth, and that means that the old man of sin dies, as Paul writes, he believed he walked upright when persecuting, but when he saw the true meaning of the law, he died, but he lives in Christ.

When you take the characteristics of every way mark in every reform line you will learn that they are always the same.It is not possible for a human being to fabricate prophetic reform line and the characteristics therof. I would urge you brother to study them again with prayer.They are air tight.
Pippenger lays out his secondary timeline parallel of the prophecy of the little book of Revelation as though it is fact. But he cannot give any solid reasons for the timeline specific events other than PURE SPECULATION. He takes one statement by Ellen White and and builds and entire fabrication of his own devising. Pippenger people follow blindly on never questioning the fanciful interpretations he comes up with. Study the Bible yourself and you would never come to his conclusions.

@FatTonyAU Sunday laws will be implemented, just before the second coming of Christ, this was first happening in 1888, but the people of God rejected the teaching of Salvation by Grace and would rather cling to self rightousness alone. The 3 angels messages are salvation by grace and an empowered life in Christ, enabling us to fulfill the Law of God including the 4th commandment that is the Sabbath. (will be continued..)

What happened during the siege of Jeursalem in 64-70 AD is the type of what will happen in the end, in 1888 the abomination was standing on holy ground, sunday laws were implemented and adventists were arrested for keeping the Sabbath. The same will happen in the end, this time the People of God will be ready. When sunday laws are implemented and enforced, the mark of the beast is given to all that keep the day of the sun, either forced/hand or concent/head.

I only fully understood the saving grace and true Gospel AFTER resigning my SDA membership. A return to Adventism already happened. It's called the Seventh Day Remnant (SDR) movement. Jesus spoke of it in Mat. 20:1-7 and confirmed it in Rev. 12:17. The shaking has already happened as well when the SDA's walked away from Christ. The SDA statement of faith is totally different than it was in EGW's day. They started a new denomination over the course of the many years. Check it out! Look at the original SDA statement of faith, and then look at today's! Now look at the SDR's statement.

Sadly between these and her doctrines that stray away from scripture and can neither be proven by scripture have pulled people away from the bible.

I agree that christ fulfilled the sacrifices of the old, but the jews don't believe that and continued their sacrifices even after the cross until the destruction of the temple in A.D 70. The bible does say however that sacrifices will be re-started and is actually spoken of in Zechariah 14, if I'm not mistaken.
It is possible that during this time he will use the sacrifices as a learning tool, a reminder so to speak of why he gave them to begin with, and what they were meant to lead to.

@broadaorb It's not all about Ellen White, it's about her writings telling us that whatever she wrote, was to get us back into searching the Scriptures, because they contain everything that we need to obtain Salvation. Her writings are like an index to point us where to search in the Scriptures. The Book of Mormon actually rewrote the Scriptures, but Ellen White told the church that her writings were given due to the lack of us searching the Scriptures. They were to point us back to the Bible.

The reason the temple will not be rebuilt is because Christ's sacrifice on the cross did away with the daily sacrifice in the temple. The Sanctuary is now in heaven and you can read this in the Bible, where it tells us Christ now the Priest that represents us and He is the one who has entered the Holy and the Most Holy Place. The earthly sanctuary was a shadow of things to come. The Mosaic law, sanctuary rituals, was done away with, but not God's law, the 10 commandments.

It is Christ's blood and our faith in His Grace that saves us, but we have a work of Sanctification, getting ready to live in the new earth, where there will be no sin. So we look to the law to show us what sin is, so we won't do it. Christ working through us,helps us to perfect our lives, so we will fit in when we come to live in the New Earth. If Christ is living in us, the law will be a delight to us

One thing to remember was that Ellen White's writings were given by Inspiration from the Holy Spirit, so if we deny the Holy Spirit, that is the unpardonable sin, so be very careful in your study, be diligent, so you don't miss out on what is truth or not truth. I am just suggesting you withhold judgment before you do more thorough study, because if we deny the Holy Spirit's guidance, that is the only sin that cannot be pardoned. We have to heed the Holy Spirit in order to be saved.

As much as I hate to say this, she did not know the bible. She even declared herself that she couldn't understand the bible lest the Lord revealed it to her in a vision. She strictly said she couldn't understand what was written. Then after a vision, the answer would come to her. This was one of the reasons why those around her thought it was a miracle because she had no idea before.
She allowed visions to interpret the bible, rather than using the bible to ensure her visions...

If her writings were inspired by the Holy Spirit, they'd teach what the bible taught, and quite frankly, they don't. They are full of things that cannot even be verified by the bible, but yet, the church accepts them anyway. Like the sabbath being before Moses for example.
The bible tells us that it was made known to Moses, that the covenant of the ten were not given to their forefathers, but with them. That the sabbath was given on the exodus out of Egypt...no one is shown as having...

Take Joseph Smith for example...he was told in a vision, if i remember, that all the churches were wrong, that he wasn't to join any of them...and eventually he was led to the plates through which the book of Mormon was translated from.
Yet, if he trusted and knew the bible, he wouldn't have been led down that trail because he would have rightly discerned that the vision, or voices he heard were of the enemy, if he heard any at all. Same goes for ellen white, if she knew, she'd never...

Just like mormonism, jehovah witnesses, one would never come up with the teachings of ellen white without having read her books. Jehovah witnesses claim that if someone were to stop reading their material, they'd enter into apostasy. Mormonism is the same because they only believe the bible as far as it is translated correctly, so you must have their books to know the truth.

She always said her light was the lesser light to point us to the greater light which is the Bible. All things must be tested by the Bible to make sure they are true. We don't rewrite the Bible, but I have yet to find anything she has written that contradicts the Bible. I would say concentrate more on studying the Scriptures and less talk of condemning her, before you have a more thorough understanding of what has been written. The Bible was written by man thru inspiration of the HS.

We were told that God would send us prophets in the latter day, so don't close your eyes to any truth. The most studied men of Christ's day were blinded to Who Christ was, because they refused to see that this humble Man was the Savior. Not suggesting Ellen White is a Savior, she is not, but be careful in denying prophecy, because all prophecy is given by Inspiration of the Holy Spirit. No one knows for sure if they are going to make it to heaven? If it's not based on your works, and solely based on Christ's work, why wouldn't you know? Are you telling me that you make it to heaven based on how righteous you live and whether you've done enough?

Nope, because the mark is not a sunday worship law. God is allowed to be worshiped on Sunday as well as any other day of the week. Worship is another issue where you worship his image, and the antichrist. His image isn't sunday either. The mark is something additional that will allow you to participate in his kingdom. Show that you've chosen to serve him, which will allow you to be part of his economy, etc.

God has given his Spirit to those who belong to him, and they are sealed unto the day of redemption. His Spirit is his promise that he'll come back for us. We can know whether or not we are his children, and whether or not he will come back for us.
We're not awaiting pronouncement, we can know today. Because it's not based on our works, we cannot bring our works before God as if it will help us get into heaven. The only thing we have, our only plea, is the blood of Christ.

It is also quiet interesting that there are many who continue to try and discredit another persons religion or denomination because of a sometimes misled conviction that the other person is wrong. Ellen White was 17 years old in 1844. It was William Miller who said Jesus was coming in 1844 and he was not an SDA. If you got this simple fact wrong, think of the other things you have wrongly attributed to the SDA religion and Ellen White. The SDA church was founded in 1863. Ellen White was given the health message by God and that's why SDA's live longer than any other religion. God, our Maker, knows how to make the body run properly and the nutrients required. It's in the Bible, too.

People err, God does not. The disciples lived with Jesus and they never figured out He was meant to die for our sins until after the fact. We live and learn. Should we dismiss the disciples because they got it wrong the first time? Explain how Ellen White knew the health message and which was the right health message?

What does it mean, why the parable of the seed, that dies and sprouts?`We must be crucified with Christ, this is done by Faith, but the crucifiction will lead to works. Is this not obvious? In dark times God winks at our ignorance and looks to our hearts and sees that we follow whatever truth we have. @Mekelsior Considering that the SDA church is a tiny Protestant movement around the entire globe, I would say that the majority of Christians saved are Sunday keepers, and you will find some sabbath keeping SDA among them as well. Luther kept Sunday, Miller kept Sunday, Spurgeon Kept Sunday, Tyndale kept Sunday, Wessley kept sunday, actually, all the great God blessed people in God's great church kept sunday.

@Mekelsior I am sorry to break it to you, but the Waldenses did not keep the Sabbath, that was one of the errors in the Great Controversy. Dr.Samuele Bacciocchi did the study, and said that the Waldenses did not keep the sabbath, and so does the head of the Waldenses today. The earliest Sunday observance recorded was 111AD, not 325AD. Bacciocchi always said that the Sabbath/Sunday dilemma is no easy matter to prove either way.

Then we Repent, this word means that we turn away from our sin, sin is the transgression of the Law, and God wants us to be on the path of Repentance, which is a gift from God. Then as long as we are on His Path we are Saved, that is we are having a saving relationship with the Lord. Study the Beatitudes.

@BibleJesusChristian The Christian experience, it is called Sanctification, it is the process after our Justification, we are justified by Faith, Christ accept us as we are, be it a drunkard, a fornicator, a murderer but He then lifts us up and changes our hearts, the new birth, and that means that the old man of sin dies, as Paul writes, he believed he walked upright when persecuting, but when he saw the true meaning of the law, he died, but he lives in Christ.

@FatTonyAU Sunday laws will be implemented, just before the second coming of Christ, this was first happening in 1888, but the people of God rejected the teaching of Salvation by Grace and would rather cling to self rightousness alone. What happened during the siege of Jeursalem in 64-70 AD is the type of what will happen in the end, in 1888 the abomination was standing on holy ground, sunday laws were implemented and adventists were arrested for keeping the Sabbath. I only fully understood the saving grace and true Gospel AFTER resigning my SDA membership. Once I left the SDA cult and resigned my membership I am now free and liberated and secure in Jesus' saving righteousness, blood and grace. I now completely trust in Jesus to save me. I was a member of the SDA for 12 years but have now resigned my membership because I came to understand and realise that I am saved by faith and grace alone,not by works or personal Sabbath keeping that the SDA teach. I teach the gospel of justification,sanctification and righteousness by faith alone. But now Adventists abuse me, and accuse me of being lost, and claim I am now a child of Satan. Once I came out of Babylon/SDA I am set free in the grace and righteousness of Christ. Praise Jesus!

@jumanous You are very uneducated in Scripture obviously! You have totally mistaken what James taught and falsely claimed James taught salvation by works! You are very very uneducated in Scripture.
James must be entirely read. The demonstration of works in James is not works done to be witnessed by God but works done before men.. James says, "I will show you my faith by my works" [2:18] He is talking about demonstrating our works before humans and not God.
You need to study the Bible more!!

@FatTonyAU E G WHITE WAS NOT A PROPHET..and for at least 40yrs most sda's merely view her writings as interesting..BUT NOT THE WORD OF GOD.Most sda's ive known REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY AND KEEP IT HOLY ETC.ETC..BUT KNOW THIS WONT GAIN THEM ETERNAL LIFE...

Again I say, The Lord hath not spoken by any messenger who calls the church that keeps the commandments of God, Babylon. I know that the Lord loves His church. Those who shall heed this false message and try to leaven others will be deceived and prepared to receive advanced delusions, and they will come to nought.

If anyone truly believes that he/she is an Adventist, the time has come to take a stand either for God or against God. If you think everything is ok, or it's gonna be ok, think twice. We need to turn to God and true Adventism than never before. Take a deep interest in the things that surround you and you'll see what satan has done to this world. Even among God's own people, even in church. While people have taken a stand to openly serve the kingdom of satan, who will you serve?

@mrvanku49 Amen brother, we need to focus on our relationship with Jesus Christ, our God.. we must study more and pray more and also go out and speak more about our God and never be afraid. Pray to get the courage to stand up.. and to become more loving and more gentle with people. This is how we can become the people God wants us to become.. by complete surrender and to pick up the cross and die daily. <3

@mrvanku49 Amen!! I see what you are saying, and I agree with you. Even in the Adventist Church people are not sincere or serious about walking the walk or talking the talk. Very few are actually in it to win it. Church seems to be a club where we go to see friends and have potluck. We all need to become serious about our walk with our Lord B 4 it's 2 late.

A return to Adventism already happened. It's called the Seventh Day Remnant (SDR) movement. Jesus spoke of it in Mat. 20:1-7 and confirmed it in Rev. 12:17. The shaking has already happened as well when the SDA's walked away from Christ. The SDA statement of faith is totally different than it was in EGW's day. They started a new denomination over the course of the many years. Check it out! Look at the original SDA statement of faith, and then look at today's! Now look at the SDR's statement.

@vesperus1981 Because the original SDA church had all the fruits of the true church right down to keeping His Law and understanding prophecy. Plus, there were some prophetic milestones before, during and after it's existence that match perfectly with His Word.
