I feel the makers of this game did the female characters right. Unlike some games that just make them look like lolis or tramps in skimpy clothing with large boobs, not all of it's skimpy, the females are cute (but not in the loli cutesy way like most games), busty, AND have back, or Atleast enough to be hot looking instead of flat in the back.

The thing about the daughter dieing is pretty creative, wherever that came from. But the original story behind Final Fantasy is this, as I've heard it:

Square used to make non-rpg games, believe it or not. Only one I can think of off the top of my head is Rad Racer. Anyway they were bankrupt and Final Fantasy was to be their last game. Hence the name "Final Fantasy".

And its true the creator left FF. Look up Mistwalker. See Lost Odyssey. Nobuo and Amano do work for Mistwalker also.

His daughter wanted him to make a videogame for her before she died from some illness, and it was his last chance to make any kind of money in the gaming industry. Final = Last chance or else he's going bankrupt. Fantasy = His daughters final wish. So why would he walk away from that, that's like walking away from his daughter.
