Thanks! I was looking for instruction for taking apart the top end of a CT90/CT110 engine and this was all I could find. Very good and covered all the basis. And the suggestion to mark the timing sprocket yjr edvanhal made is right on.
The black disc behind the points plate is called a timing advance mechanism. It automatically advances ignition timing as the engine speeds up. You should always check to make sure that it's not stuck when reassembling. Good video!
Your video was very, very helpful. I referred back to it numerous times and it was so helpful. Thanks for speaking in lay terms and being detailed. You make it look so easy. Thanks again.
Mechanic has some video problems and doesn't know the names to a lot of the parts of the engine, but does a great job showing what steps are involved to doing a top end job on a honda 90. Would highly recomend this video.
Excellent video my man, how about you finish the job and replace the rings and or piston and video that.. I really like how you went into great detail on this.

A suggestion, put a small mark on the sprocket and chain for reassembly in case they are moved or dropped. Thanks for the post! Eddie V
