Qibli, the dog, even assisted her two years later when Minnie, the black cat, was dying from cancer. And when she died, I had to get a new cat for her. And the dog breastfed the cat.
One of my cats nearly took my dogs eye out when my dog was a puppy - we had to dig her claw out and rush her to the vets. I was so worried that she would lose her eye - luckily she was okay with no permanent damage. That cat has since died a few years ago from old age, and my dog gets on very well with my two black bombays who love her to bits, but she has never forgotten that near fatal swipe, and she doesn't let them anywhere near her eyes to this day.
I have a dog practically identical to your gorgeous little one, she used to do the same to our cat, playing but it can be so dangerous for the dogs eyes, twice we had to rush our dog to the vets cos the cornea of her eye was badly scratched from our cats claws, our vet told us cats can blind dogs with their razor sharp claws, its in their natural defensive nature to do so I noticed u put up a gate, thats a very good idea and what we did too Our dog has matured now shes 4 and leaves our cat alone

As a cat owner, I can tell you from experience that cats do love and like playing with you if you do it the RIGHT way. Cats love you, they simply don't jump up at you and bark all the time about it. They're understated and come to get your affection on their own terms which is fine by me. They are their own beings with their own minds, and I respect that. I enjoy when my cats curl up with me on the couch, purr, and curl up against me at bedtime. Also, dogs also eat mice, birds, and bunnies.
My cat and puppy do the same thing right in the middle of the kitchen in the morning when I get up. I try to walk past the cat the cat gets startled and he swats at my leg.
That's why dogs always win over cats, they're too goofy to get the message, and too goofy to not realize that cat doesn't want to play. Also, way more persistant.

My grandma has a black cat and shes pure evil. One time she said goodbye to her, and she meowed and scratched her. shes done alot more but the comment would be to long.Lol. Pretty good video.

JaZmanJordaN, again, don't be silly. My cat is smaller than that and she threatens dogs way bigger than herself. She just puffs her fur up until she looks twice her size and they think better of taking her on.
Cats are Cats and dogs are dogs. Stop thinking of them in human terms and let them be themselves. My guess is the cat was there first.
