lol its soo funny, i reckon maybe shouldve done this differently, and at least shouldve had to be both there top bowlers, bowling properly coz its was too easy the way it was
why ppl are so uncomfortable with these rules. i mean its still cricket they are telling the bowlers to bowl out withut a batsmen, if you are good enough you should be able to do it. they are not making them do javelin throw with the stumps are they???
For those who have already made themselves look idiots with rabid frothings about diluting the purity of cricket, linking bowlouts and T20 - the first bowl outs took place in 1991 in the NatWest Trophy (60 overs a side) between Oxfordshire and Surrey.
How else do you settle a tie with minutes to go? Toss a Coin?
WHAT A BUNCH OF LOSERS. And these guys call themselves cricketers? They are gettin excited after bowling at a wicket and striking it. How fuckin silly. Bloody heck, i can do it as well. What hext will the ICC do? Lemme guess...have a bat out..where a bowling machine will throw balls at 50 mph and they have to hit fours , without a single fielder on the ground.,
I completely agree with you man, you have a point there..but they say that it is like penalty shootout in football so why can't they have a batsmen like a goal keeper to guard the stumps
haha that was really funny, look that the player who finally hits the stumps, runs like crazy. .i completely understand the adrenaline rush and what it means. .thats why i love this rule :)
20/20 has made cricket more exciting. No one has time for a 7 hour game. BUT everybody has ample time for an exciting 3 hour adrenaline rush where all teams have equal chances of winning
T20 was made just to pull in more money, to popularise it further more in non-cricketing nations or nations where it is less popular. But heck! This is the most stupid version ever seen. ODI is still cricket but T20 is a shame. Cricket is test cricket, this is "bat and bowl", No strategy, no planning, no thinking, simple luck, you bat I bowl- game.
it was just afew odd players who were involved. cricket IS gentleman's game. now soccer you say is better, i beg to differ. soccer is a women's sport.. anyone who likes soccer must be gay or mentally challeneged.
Cricket's never been a 'gentleman's' game. Cheating, racism, bribery, class prejudice, sexism, match-fixing, ball tampering (etc) have all been part and parcel of the game from its very beginnings.
Um, no, it's not. I was talking about the politicking that denies membership, board representation and even entry to certain areas of grounds instigated and maintained by cricket authorities over the last 2 centuries.
As for women's cricket, it's almost a non-entity as far as recognition and official support is concerned. Wisden have only just started including the women's game in the Almanac.
Kindly don't make assertive statements about topics you have an incomplete knowledge of.
I'm not going to do your research for you. Just having a team or a league doesn't mean a great deal.
The 'gentlemen' myth is self-perpetuating because people don't question it. Read Mike Marqusee's "Anyone but England", a good introductory essay on historical prejudice in the game.
Cricket may be a 'gentleman's game', both those very same gentlemen were prone to poor sportsmanship, on and off the field (cheating, racism, bribery, match-fixing, class-prejudice all rampant).
oh yeah...i suppose so but they could they just not have a run up? as long as the foot is behind the line the arm is str8 n above shoulder its legal aint it?
It's been used before (maybe as early as the 1980s) in English one-day competitions. Not in the case of a tie as they weren't possible but if weather stopped the match taking place.

Women have an increasing voice in cricket. It's a redress of past injustices that's not limited to cricket by any means.
However, there has been traditional hierarchial disenfranchisement of women in cricket.
The West Indies has a team and a presence in world cricket: by the same logic that would mean that racism has never been a problem in the game.
