does anybody know who wrote this song? i heard it by trading yesterday, but which artist is the original? and who is david hodges? in youtube i couldnt find his version
i just met these guys today at my job they came in for some good texas bbq and i never heard of these guys but i promised them i'll listen to them i did and they are a good band these guys are real nice ppl God bless them
awesome song. Just what I needed to hear right now. By the Tree is one of my favorite bands, not just for the christian message they bring to people but I love their sound!
For those non Christians or people who don't know the truth about this song: it's not suppose to be a song of hatred by burning the world with fire but rather burning the hearts of people in the world for Jesus Christ. Set the hearts on fire for Jesus
@gamegeekx i'm not a christian, used to be, but i'm pretty sure this song is pretty darn clear about what it's talking about. the whole song is very straightforward. i didn't hear one single hidden message in the entire song, but thanks for the clarification. lol. I mean seriously, the whole song is about worshipping. there was no need for clarification there, except for maybe little kids and toddlers but they shouldn't be roaming around on youtube anyway.
@TheGingerStep I commented this because this song got banned in youtube from the wrong message. People literally thought it was about burning the earth to the ground.
I concur with dreamrequiem212. i think this was first done by Trading Yesterday (a semi-quasi-kinda-sorta-Christian band?) haha. they don't exist anymore. now they are Age of Information and are really......techno/industrialist... kinda interesting change of style
@gioshmedina They were Christian, just not *all* of their songs were directly related to/sang towards God, kinda like Skillet. But yeah, i just really don't understand why they have this song now... O.o lol
@gioshmedina And what i *really* don't get, is how are they gonna name their entire album after a song that isn't even theirs? really retarded if you ask me, but oh well. the glory's (hopefully) for God and not for them anyways.
I came across this CD a few weeks (not even a month) ago at a dollar store!!! It was a gift from God. I was shopping for my VBS class with money I didn't really have, but knew that I was making a wise investment. World on Fire was amongst MANY CDs and DVDs. I looked at the song list on the back and said, it's a buck... IT'S GOLD!!! As I ministered these past weeks within the four walls, By the Tree Ministered to me!!! GOD BE PRAISED. May our Father bless you suddenly...
This is a great production. Saw the band at the Man Camp retreat this last weekend and they are outstanding. I highly recommend their latest CD entitled "World On Fire" and I really hope these guys stay together.
This is a well balanced band. Good lyrics, appearance, and production. They've had a huge turn over of members though. Hopefully they got the right combo and are still playing. Stephen
