Fishing the Nipigon River in Nipigon, Ontario, Canada

Didnt the world Record Speck come out of the Nipigon River? I take a trip to Longlac every year for 2 weeks trout and northern fishing. Mostly lake fishing, but Im willin to give this a whirl. Nipigon is only a few hours I do believe. Is there decent fishing from a set of waders or is the river too deep?

Hey, I am going to fish nipigon river this summer. I am specifically targeting salmon and brook trout. I already have a rough idea of the best lures and baits for salmon there, but what lure and bait were you using?

we use Rapala J-13 for salmon and any shiney spinner with worm for specks.
