This is a quick dish and has its own merits but, a paella it is not....please don't insult the culture. It is a nice dish but does not belong in the paella league.
No, this is not paella. Microwaved rice? Horrors! No saffron at all? The best paella I had was in Ibiza, a hole in the wall place by the sea. The rice and stuff that sticks on the surface of the pan was crispy and delicious. Not Valencia-style (rabbit and chicken) but seafood--shrimps, scallops, clams.
This bitch obviously went to the Rachel Ray(tard) school of cooking. Yumm-o! Are you serious? Throwing various crap together, doesn't make you a cook. Just a lame version of Rachel Ray without the excessive use of Olive Oil.
Mate, this is a promotional video for a product called sun rice microwavable, which is a a bag of rice which can be cooked in a microwave. It was never meant to be authentic as the people who buys these products aren't be assed to cook, hence the promo video.

And it's pronounced "Pie-A-Ya" not "Pie-Yar".

The word is Pie-A-ya!
"A" as in the letter "A".
What is "pepsican"????????
Paprika?!?!?!?
At least put some cheap South American saffron replacement in that stuff.
Shrimp in the microwave is the same as shrimp on the barbie -RIGHT?
