Clearly, when you say an artist is suing them, they're record label, manager, writer, whatever is suing them. especially since she's a minor. so im not dissing miley personally, i'm dissing whoever's in charge of suing them.

i understand it when people use it illegally, but the lead singer paid the mechanical licenses to use it. so thats what i mean when i say they're being 100% legal, since they're not selling the song.

because the mechanical license is the approval of using that song.

since i'm a music business major, i know they need the mechanical license, and the lead singer said he got one, so there shouldn't be a lawsuit. if the companies DO go through with the lawsuit claiming plagiarism, they'll lose.
