god, why are you being showoffs at the youtube comment list? ppl don't care! are you expecting some kind of bravo? or smth? i used to playe moonlight since i was 13 y.o, i didn't want to hear any bravos, i did it because I LOVED THE PIECE...SO WHAT? sguros played with orchestras at 9, cziffra nailed impossible pieces at 11... now all of you showoffs, show us a video and then we talk, if you can play well, you have talent and keep it up, if not, worthless even trying ;)
I am 12 years old and now I am playing Appassionata by Beethoven. I wish my hands were big as him so that I could play like that. I can't play that much good just because my hands are very tiny! At least everything I've done worked!
Lang should watch this video. Then maybe he would realize that you don't have to be a freak monster to play this great music beautifully. This young man already plays CIRCLES around Lang and his coterie of psychopaths.
i can't believe some of these comments how sick that people are instructing him based on youtube videos. this guy is incredible for any age. but why are they offering useless advice to this amazing kid who's only 12 and plays nearly as great as anyone would wish. and i'm a juilliard grad pianist who makes a living playing so i know a few things about piano. BRAVO to this kid!!
The comments I have for your performances seem to be exactly the same!
Phrase-shaping - you seem to have a problem with your 4th + 5th fingers in your right-hand. The phrases have to move forward more for extra color.
Speed - Remember, faster doesn't mean better. During your piano practice I advise you to spend more time playing through the pieces slowly so that you can pay more attention to the lyrical aspect of Chopin and bring out the beauty of the subtle differences.
Oh yes, jsw663 - let's have an online piano lesson, shall we? I hope that this young man never sees what you have written here. If he does, he might just coming RUNNING to you for lessons. Blech.
@jsw663 shit man, he is 13 here, he probably doesn't have the comprehension to work like that and achieve something more at that age... he works based on talent and a good techer, it's obvious... try again when he is 15+
I saw resently Horowich playing the same sonata from the White House (Pres.Carter). Horowich: Grow up! This 13-year old boy plays with so much heart and soul. My hairs were standing on end from start to finish. Ingmar Lazar: you´re unique!
Está rapidísimo, no se trata de impresionar (que ya lo has hecho), sino de buscar la musicalidad, y creo que está muy rápido. Al inicio la partitura NO dice Presto, pero bueno, la euforía a esa edad es muy alta.

I think he has done well to play fast! He is young, and if he does so quickly means that it is his personality.
And then he has all the time it wants to do so slow, if a day will be forced to do so.
Ingmar well done!

If he gets any better with age he'll be reinventing the standards by which everyone else is judged.
ShawnTMills 4 years ago
huh? what do you mean reinventing the standards?

He means this guy is the new Horowitz or something. And I think he is! Probably the best child prodigy I´ve ever heard on the piano!

Yeah, my original comment was kind of retarded, thanks for the help!

Not THAT good, but he can certainly become a world-class professional pianist.
