  • All this shows is that the elite will use anything a scientist or thinker comes up with to rule over others!

You have an idea and they will twist it. Ergo we have a fight to make an N-topia that does not enslave the people!

They dont not give a shit and would screw their own mother to stay in power- A million have to die? So be it says the elite!

  • @099749 Politicians and powerful businessmen are not some alien race, they are humans, exactly the same as you and me and among humans someone will always rise to the top and try to take control.

Adam Curtis covered this in "All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace", looking at hippie communes that forbade political alliance. The result was disaster, individuals would dominate and control other individuals without any checks it turned to abuse eventually collapsing the entire commune.

  • @Treblaine

Politicains are slaves, who for a bit of cash sold us all down the river. and today thanks to the stupidity of those Sellout cowaradly "politicians" of the past. Now we have a political class completely enslaved that feels sellingout the people is it's job! Any that trz to sort this mess will just be out on their ear or worse. Banking corporates and the piggy elite run the show. The secretary of state for nothing, cant do much, he can carry on blowing them ofcourse.

  • @099749 Politicians still have power... but it's complicated, they know they can't give their people what they want. They can't build them homes, manufacture cars nor drill for oil or import iPods. Only the economy can. Adam Curtis has made a good case for why politicians have relinquished so much control to the business elites: because they are better at economics.

The politicians are not slaves, they gave up this control willingly and refuse to take it back even though they could.

  • @Treblaine

Yes they gave away the peoples powers to the corporate business' and not for nothing many politicians have companies they gave more powers to themselves in some sense; Those that did it back in the time of thather and regan when all this really started. Notice they never consulted the people about it.

Hence they gave away democracy, for there own petty interests, and formed a new form of global market tyranny as companies now take power everywhere that becomes negativly free.

  • @099749 Err, Thatcher et al made quite clear before every election she was going to sell off nationalised industries, THAT was consulting the people.

Democracy means government is elected by the people. Just because corporations do some of the jobs of the government does not mean they become the government. Government is much more than that.

  • @Treblaine cont...

Notice the issue no democracy anywhere and corporations running everything. You can just vote for a liar that can do nothing but what the business world demands.

  • @Treblaine cont...

And he or she as a politicain is a liar to even think about claiming and telling the voters that they live in a democracy. The lie from start to finish, first step is a lie and most that follow on are also. Look at Clinton everything he promised to do he didnt, obama is no different, that's is their job for the corporate controllers to lie and decieve the people into thinking they live in something they do not- "a democracy!"

  • @099749 Clinton wasn't a liar, he just made a promise he couldn't keep. Or at least couldn't keep without breaking another promise. He promised to be a good President (not run country into ground) and lower taxes, but he simply could not do both. He had to raise taxes or else cause an economic collapse.

He did not know he was making a promise he couldn't keep. But he did lie about getting a blow-job.

  • @Treblaine

More than that as this documentary shows after he won the election he was told all of the things he had said he would do could not be done as the free market now ran everything, he not only said nothing he excepted that farse and agreed with it. No democracy at all, first election he might have been ignorant of certain realities, the secound he was not! They are all liars, we and they know, that we have no democracy they just professionally pretend to serve while they betray.

  • @099749 Yes, you don't get it he still had to be elected to make that decision.

The electorate VOTED for the President to make these decisions on how to run things, that extends to deciding that someone else can run them. The Electorate can vote for a new president to take those powers back, that's democracy.

It was a new election in 1996 with a new set of promises, you can't hold him to promises of previous election for his previous term.

  • @Treblaine

"The electorate VOTED for the President to make these decisions on how to run things, that extends to deciding that someone else can run them"

No it does not that is tantamount to saying the president has the right to get rid of everything, to abolshing the constitution, to change the society completly just because on one day the people said he could rule(and what if he lied?), the president is under the law as everyone else does not have that right! we have referendums for that

  • @099749 Noooo, the constitution does not give the President that much power and the people wouldn't accept that. The people have accepted the government handing over economic controls to the markets. There was and is no call for a referendum.

  • @Treblaine cont..

You go tell the corporate gits you are clearly here trying to defend, that these lies and injust practices are going to end!

No tyrannt is a person of reason, and the oligarchy you clearly support and seriously irrational!

I would ask how you seem to think the newly elected politicians are going to take back powers when they work for the people that have taken those powers today?

  • @099749 Whoa whoa WHOA. I'm not supporting it, I am just saying that it IS democratic. It's foolish but it is not illegal, and not unjustified either.

How? Up Barack Obama isn't employed by anyone in Wall Street. Nor any of the other powerful politicians or candidates, the power is theirs to use.

  • @Treblaine

To a degree that does support it and by the way the people do not even know that their powers were given a way, they were never consulted at all.

  • If you've lived in Vienna, you will know where Anna Freud got her political techniques from.... Shake hands with a Viennese wheel, then count your fingers and check that you don't have a dinner fork stuck in your back....
