Hrm. So many literal translations of this song. Guess I'm more of a symbolism guy. Is there anywhere that has 100% confirmation to what the lyrics are?

The line "His eyes were wide and I saw two of me there"... I've always heard this as "I saw too me there"... as if he is looking into the eyes and seeing himself in this person. Just my interpretation I suppose, and those might not the proper lyrics.

I believe someone has just had a bit of an accident, possibly a diver. He is falling into a coma or something so as his vision fades everything gets a bit blurry. The second verse is from the perspective of the guy in the coma...

THat's what I always thought, anyway.

i think its about a guy who drowns, goes into a coma, and won't wake up. The drowning part is sort of plain, but the "ask me to pull through.... he probably can't hear you" points to a coma, at least to me

@gimmieurBRAIN and @thunderstruck665 NO.. actually it was released on the ARMY single the single contained ARMY, AIR, and the THEME FROM "Dr Pyser" Released in the UK in 1999 I have this in my possession. AND the Theme from Dr Pyser is a studio recording with orchestra and full out awesomness that Ben Folds Five was in their day. I miss these guys together..
