It has character-driven stories, comedy, heart-breaking moments, and tells a universe-shattering saga with repercussions for what we thought we knew about G1.

But if ugly/intro/3d is the reason you don't like it, I'm not going to try and convince you otherwise. Your loss, not mine.

just like x men/batman and so many others. Beast Wars had story lines that really got your attention and when you watch them as adults you find that its stories were very mature for its time especially for a kids cartoon.

@wyrmdrake19 the white raptor is dinobot 2. the original dinobot sacrificed himself and died but megatron eventually cloned his spark creating dinobot2. DB2 was a bad guy who had vague memories of his past life and its not until the last episode that he remembers who he is and betrays megatron leading to his capture. it set up a story for beast machines but the producers said fuck that and made the autobots all pussies in beast machines. beast machines was terrible

@transformafan34 You're always going to get comparisons to previous series, and the Beast Era is one that has stood out as a rare example of character-driven story telling in Transformers TV, rather than gimmick-driven, which seems to be a frequent complaint about more recent series (esp the Unicron Trilogy). I agree that series should be allowed to stand on their own merits, but if they're being compared to the Beast Era, it's not necessarily a bad thing.

I personally haven't observed any attacks on Prime based on BW/BM, and I hope nobody expects it to be effectively a re-run of Beast Wars (like some people seem to want of G1). There's only been a handful of episodes, so it's too early to even know what the show is really all about at this point. I think what I've observed is just the hope that there will be similar philosophies in storytelling and such. Being 3D CGI also results in unavoidable comparisons.

This is one of the greatest TF shows in history. I love the characters especisally Waspinator and Rattrap. I also love the theme because an air guitar solo is awesome. I also loved the comedy that was in this show. My favortie part was when Inferno and Rhinox were having a Rockem-Sockem battle and Rhinox wins.

Season 3 here was good, but weak...the decision had already been made to end it and start up the awful Beast Machines.

They should have done BW Season 4 instead...but, guess they had to sell some new toys, rofl.

Is it possible people try to ignore Beast Wars descendant, Beast Machines? Some of the plots were good (like Megatron ruling Cybertron, or Rhinox being a bad guy), but overall that show wasn't that great. Beast Wars however, was awesome.

It was controversial when it came out, but over time it's become highly regarded, certainly as a baseline for character-driven shows.

You still won't find universal approval (you won't ever find universal approval of anything, ever), but look through the comments on this clip, my clips of the opening titles for the other 2 seasons, and my other ones starting with "BW" and you'll see a lot of happy fans.
