being a tuba player in 8th grade the beginning of this song sucks balls!! haha.. 11 measures of 1 note.. not enjoyable.. haha.. its a good peice tho.. u guys did a good job..

My middle school band does it way better!" or "I don't want to sound mean but this is burning my ears! My middle school band wipes the floor with this!" or "Sorry but you should take this off youtube. My middle school band is superior to this band!!!" You are an immature. You need to find something better to do.
@adkinsadam1 well it's probably true ya jerk my middle school beggining band was better than a high school wind ensemble last year it really depends on the conductor

we did this peice a little differently than written I really wish that I would have recorded it because when we preformed we had cool lights going on in the back it was awesome and made the music a little harder to read but it was still cool....anyway nice peice
My school is now working on this. The chimes and bell solos are pretty hard! It sounds like these guys did an awesome job. What grade or grades is/are this?
At my High School Alma Mater, it is a tradition to play the Russian Christmas Music and has been for around 90 some years and I have to say I'm appalled by this version... Just get rid of your French Horns completely (I'm a French Hornist); if they can't play the notes, they shouldn't try for them.
Agreed. The horns were so terribly out of tune (especially around 7:30) and couldn't get those notes. Also, the oboe was out of tune and awfully loud. Clarinets almost made me writhe in pain for as much (unintentional) clashes there were. And what pissed me off the worst was that the first trombone player played the entire time with his bell completely exposed, making the tone sound blatty and spread out. As a tuba player, I thought the tone was great, but they needed to play much louder.
Sorry, but if you don't have the rehearsal time to prepare a piece correctly or the talent to perform it well, it should not be played! What a shame to butcher such an oustanding piece! Please remove this from youtube.
The 2nd clarinets at the beggining were grossly out of tune, and the clarinet section overall was pitiful- no dynamic variance at all. Also, the oboe was too loud, and you rushed the 4:4 semiquaver part.

Terrific performance, especially for a high school band. bass is excellent! i played this before, but we didn't sound nearly this good.
