Randomly when you get close. And Water of life is only needed after 90 days, then yit expires and you need to water it with water of life

90 days, but it isn't like it's gone forever. You can revive it in a short quest and for a price much lower than it took to buy it. It retains all closeness.

kai u need to lvl the yellow baby dragon to lvl 15 and u go to new leaf city. beside eiffle tower, theres the guy who gets the dragons to evolve. buy the evolving rock and there u go ~~(some one told me u have to do a quest :S) happy mapling
