Every cobalt i've come across has been a slow,ugly and unreliable plastic box with a douche behind the wheel. exceptions can be made, but for the general cobalt crowd thats the case IMO.

@drSkater well the ss/tc is faster around the nurburgring then an nsx, exige s, evo 7 and 8, e36 m3, audi rs4, 350z etc, and that is without the stage one which is a factory option that pushes out 290+ hp. i personally found the cobalt ss to be the best looking of all the pocket rockets around and mine has 80k on it now and the only money ive spent other then modding is oil changes as nothing has broken yet.

@gumper1986 Sorry man the Caliber SRT4 is weak as far as "sports cars" are considered. My friend has one and I've driven it a few times. It is a GREAT DD as it's smooth and quiet inside. Otherwise: steering sucks, HORRENDOUS body roll, horrible traction issues, unbelievable torque steer and just doesn't feel that sporty. If it was made to be a comfortable DD with a little bit of speed...mission accomplished. Otherwise it fails miserably at anything sporty!!

SRT-4's are an awesome performance value for the money. People will always talk shit about other people's cars. I'm never down with people talking shit unless it's about someone's Mustang with ricer stickers on it. Then it's fine. Either way just ignore the shit talkers and let your car do the talking for you.

Enjoy your SRT. They're badass stock (buddy of mine ran a 13.7 with drag radials) and have huge potential.

@Flexfuel306 false, they have no potential. They simply have a beefed up 420a in them (same engine as non turbo 2g eclipse) and can hardly push 350hp. i would almost dare you to find me an srt4 with the 420a pushing over 400.

Given the fact that people have made 400 whp on a turbocharged D16 SOHC VTEC Honda engine, I could imagine that it would be possible to do it with a 2.4L SRT-4.

That said, they're still likely few and far between.

Anything is possible if you've got enough money.

@Flexfuel306 I suppose sure, if money isnt a factor. and yeah its possible with hondas because.. id hate to say it.. but honda actually made a good engine, sure theyre SOHC but theyre reliable, for the most part. The 420a engine made by DSM (Mitsu and Chrystler) used in their 1g's and 2g's were nowhere near reliable. Talk to some DSM owners and ask them how they like their engines lol :) and saying this doesnt mean I'm against DSMs in any way, i love them, but not their engines :p
