  • Brought back memories of my teenage

  • RIP Lee Pockriss (the man who wrote the music)

  • i love this record nice n scratchy and this song especially reminds me of a childhood girlfriend of mine

  • i love this song

  • hehe ilove this song cos i am so in love with polka dots

  • This song is very creepy!

  • @junkyturd Absolutely right; it frightens the shite out of me too.

  • my childhood songs were on this kind of record players.... all hindi and english classics !!

  • @Megaseemasingh Didn't Connie Francis sing a Hindi song based on work at an Indian Laundry called "Who's sari now"?

  • good video and song

  • It's now in Holland as Commercial from C&A i thought.

  • My favorite song :D

  • Reissue pressings are still around...Collectables Records sells this (at their oldies-dot-com [written to get past YouTube's skittishness about URLs] website).

  • i miss records

  • you can't find alot of really amazing songs like this for some reason lol XD i love this song and i have every since my mom got out her old record thingy lol :D

  • @Killswitch274 "OUCH!" This time around in CAPITAL letters.........inotherwords after reading your comment I said to myself. why not!?

  • "ouch!"

  • Some birds can not fly in, Asian busizz4me.info

  • I'm surpised you have a record player in such good condition. That was great, Thanks.

  • Based on the last line of the last verse, I can imagine the headline the next day: "GIRL KILLED BY MODESTY; Teenage Girl found drowned wearing yellow polda-dot bikini".

  • The video is especially refreshing - with all those other videos of this song featuring half-naked little girls.

  • I'm such a fan of Brian but I can not find hes version of "Tragedy" which I think is so great, anyone if you could upload or advise me where I could get I would be so happy:)

  • the scratches came from a science project involving this record. My science project was to create a phonograph using a orange juice can and a sewing needle. It worked and I got an A for the project...but the needle damaged my record badly :(.

  • @debiani3866 I wouldn't sacrifice this record for an A!

  • @debiani3866 So after the science project you were fast tracked for a career wrecking cars, breaking bricks or politics, right?

  • @debiani3866 Love your humour; but as you're well aware, the 'scratches' here are the result of interstellar interference when this recording was picked up after having been bounced off one of the planets of our nearest neighbour, Alpha Centauri. A nine year round trip, would you believe. The video showing the record player was a clever touch, I should add.

  • This isn't the first time i've made a comment her. 309,954 and it' july 27th, 2020. This video has been arounf for over 3 years and by the looks of itwe didn't mind the scratches, so much so that i personally have played this particular video perhaps 40 times 2, over the years. Thx4 keepin' one of my favorites avaliable, despite the added scratches...and I certainly notice them when I have my headphone on my friend. lol

  • Hey 307,755 views, what an acheivement, really! It definetly helps that this is the original and the only original avaliable as far as I know. Some versions may come close but there missing something and I have an ear for the original since I grew up with the recording. This was a hit in 1960 but up here in Vancouver Canada, the gals didn't really take off on the full bikini look until the seventies, It was Bikini tops and jean cutoffs for years, now of coarse it's the string bikini. Thx

  • i lurves this we used to sing thius on the bus when miss nancy wouldn't turn on the radio

  • I heard this song on the radio and now it's stuck in my head haha!

  • wow its the original too! way kewl!!!!

  • Aufhören! Aufhören!

Ich halte das nicht mehr aus. Ich gestehe.

    Ich gestehe! Ich gestehe!

    Ich bin ein amerikanischer Spion.

Ja, ich arbeite fur die CIA.

Ja, ich bin von Wall Street bezahlt.

    ja, ich bin ein Geheimagent

von Allen Dulles. Ja, ja, ja!

  • @congawa78 Explanation : This "Stop it! Stop it" is the confession of Horst Buchholz in Billy Wilder's cult movie "One, two, three" after being tortured over and over again by this song ...

  • omg i remember the commercial i would always sing it

  • I remember this song from when I was like 4... it was on a kids cd :) haha

  • Long name for such a short song!

  • Hey dude, why don't you pick on wrangler, leave my jeans alone! What dose a yellow bikini have to do with a pair of aged Levis? answer...Levis keep kickin. whereas the bikini has wasted away

  • Did anybody ever ask you what this record you played for youtube would look like if it was played 269,535 times over? Well I just did, and the answer is(da da), If you were to wear that same pair of Jeans(Levis, it has to be Levis), anyway wear 'em that many times over and you'll know what I mean. Ya you'll have a very bleached blue pair of jeans with to large holes onn the ass end of them! I kidd you knot. Levis...buit to take it! Thx4 posyin'

  • You guys obviously know each other!, the thing is you don't know me. I'm from the great white north. Vancouver Cda, where we may just see some snow 'round these parts brfore the big event. Talkin' 'bout the white stuff, we had plenty kicki' 'round tis town last xmas, most of us shovelling in excess of 2 ft. on boxing day(dec 26). Anyway I'm the 241,682nd person to tune this scratchy classic in and I won't be the last!! It' was #1 for 3 wks in 1960 by Brian Hyland. Thanks & have a good 1..

  • my sis is sing this song

  • There are more than enough videos here on utube playing itsy bitsy bikini, and yet none of them equal the true musical impact that this scratchy record offers it's listeners...and why? This is the same version the hit the top 40 charts back in 1960 here in vancouver canada. That's right this scratchy record is at least the original version, all the rest of them that you may want to listen too are spinoffs. Thx for posting this scratchy original, 227,079 viewers(and countin') can't be wrong!

  • @Ezdduf4kuZ relax....I agree. This is priceless. I heard this for the first time when I was about 8 years old. I only just found it again. I wanted to send it to ppl I know, but couldn't find a true representation of what I remembered. This is it only. Thaaaaaanksss

  • I have this song on a tape, and according to the DJ (it's one of those "100 Greatest Songs of Rock 'n' Roll" kind of tapes), this song was about someone's (I think it was the songwriter's) 2-year-old daughter. I'll have to listen to the tape again to be sure of whose daughter she was, though.
