Well I have a lvl 11 enhancment shammy. but a lvl 85 arcane mage. and i had a question about that lava burst move. How do i use it lol. I cant equip a weapon on my off hand. all i can equip is a main hand weapon and a shield.
dude y you got stamina as a enchament shammy. if you got the tiers then thats ok but if you got specific armour with stamina then your mest :P. i got lvl 80 t8 taurne shammy and my i say they ROCK THE FUCK OUT!!
Not sure what you are trying to say, but this is a Sunwell geared char in closed beta at Level 75 to demonstrate a skill that used to be part of MSW. Stamina has nothing to do with anything. so you got me puzzled with your comment.

i have no idead what you mean about stam. I mean yeah you need a certain amount for aoe that is unavoidable..... But if you aren't an idiot and standing in ground effects stam will come with gear. It was really nice, also stormstrike had fire/frost damage increased ... as fresh 80 I had lava bursts (with mage in grp - early 80 heroics) of 8-9k ... so it was quite powerful.
I feel like we are a little low on meters these days, the hybrid tax hits us hard. Just wish they'd bring laval burst back.
The best thing about it was not the damage, it was that shaman had a real nice synergy throughout the talents and that made it insanely fun to play.
maby u are right a friend told me about it i dont have any experience of it lowering Lavaburst casting speed since my shaman was about lvl 30 when Wotlk released :/
tho the friend who told me about it are not used to be wrong i bet he will check it up for hours when i show him this xD
and theres and diference bettewn enchancement shaman from elemental, cause enchancement shamans use mutch more melle then elemntel, we can say tht elemntal shamnas almost dont use in high lvl pvp, but still enchancement needs the the isntant cast spells but casting spells would ruin a fight
Mw-5 doesnt apply to instant LvB as it was in WOTLK beta.
Rotating FS/ES is bad.
Lava Lash ignores all armor, and hits as fire damage. Not a good talent to ignore. With sham rage on a 2 min CD, and IMP SS in 3.1, mana should NOT be an issue.
About the Lava Lash, sure it is very nice at 80, but I would not see it as must have talent for leveling up. As soon as I'd have feral spirit I'd max out the Elemental Tree, before taking stuff like static shock, lava lash, windfury totem, etc. Those would be the last to fill for me on my way to 80.
You forgot to mention that Stormstrike gives now 20% of base mana which is a really nice change.
As ive already been doing is putting windfury on both weps, but in regards to lava lash i heard putting flamtounge on the off weapon barely increases the damage compared to duel windfury.
also once i get near 80 i plan on joining my raiding guild, and would specing 15 or so points in the elemental tree to get clear casting be a good thing to have for heroics/raids in those cases i still need to preserve mana, or even back up heal if all fails.
you are dead wrong about windfury.. When u WF both weps u have a 3 sec internal CD on WF again and the OH wep normally gets the proc at a 50-60% less dmg than MH WF. WF/FT is the only way to imbue your weps as a shaman now. LL is made more viable by this fact. If u want to have lower and less hitting WF procs be my guest but i am a current 4800-5300 in 25 man and on thad. i have seen 6800dps what you are saying is just uninformed. And get the Glyph of lavalash so it is an overall 75% increas

c) with Naxx 25 gear you can have 6k+ dps on patchwerk and about 8-9 on Thaddius
d) Glyph of lava Lash isn't the best choice, Lava Lash is about 4% total damage and that makes the glyph 0.4% total damage worth ... I'd prefer flametongue any second as it helps to get our elemental devastation cycle going faster.
wondering what the crusader looking proc was? be cool if you lemme know, im also lvling a enhance shammy, lvl 43 atm and going quick and if you have any tips. my current rotation is flame shock so pull aggro from 20 yard range, stornstrike, earth shock and the target is usually dead. once i hit 45 i plan to add lava lash to that rotation. tops would be nice, good video

Not sur eif I would bother with Lava Lash so early, it is a minor skill that does 4% overall damage and is used to drain your mana. But then ... with 3.1 we get lots of Mana from Stormstrike!

ok thanks for the respance, i didnt notice lava lash had such the mana draining ability... i would think that would come from lavaburst also. im not sure the mana would matter cause i have water shield up at all times and since stormstrike will refund my mana, and theirs the time between my shock spells and stormstrike i could use that cooldown.

In a raid you hardly lose mana, and we ahve a talent called static shock which has a chance to proc lightning shield offensive versus our targets.
I am not saying that lava lash isbad or anything, just tha tI wouldn't be my prefered talent for leveling. 4% of damage later on is nice.
You don't use lava burst as enchancement. the extra damage you get form lightning bolt via stormstrike debuff (+glyph) is just better for us since we can also get it as instant cast with Maelstrom Weapon,
PvE wise we are great. There are some PvP change sin 3.1 that look promising. Personally I have a DK that I use for PvP, so I can't really advice you. Atm it seems like DK + Paladin is the way to go in Arena, but a friend goes as resto and is at 2200+ rating. So I guess it is possible :-)
It would be incredible if you could use LvB as Enhancement with Maelstrom procs in live. Sadly this isn't the case and I wish I could have done this in beta with my Enhancement Shaman.
enhancement and elemental shamans are at the top of the dps charts, they arent "weak" as some of you are saying, just to let you know, shamans are one of the more difficult classes to play, knowing when and what totems to use, quick instant cast heals if a raid member is about to die, and you have to use your abilities to support your raid members, so those of you who are judging shamans, go try one yourself before knocking them....
Lol @ kids crying about enhance being sucky dps, average chance they've never even been to naxx = 95% :( I've seen mages/rogues get 1400 in 10 man naxx and shamans get 1200 in normal nexus at level 72.
I am at 6k dps atm as enhancement at 80. But there are other classes still topping it up. Shaman is a pretty fun all around class. I enjoy the versatile game play.
I have a shaman at 74 but I really hate Northrend when it comes to leveling, it was tough work getting my hunter to 80 with an epic mount, now I don't want to do it again :(
I can't believe you hate Northrend, most of my friends love it and I love Northrend as well. We think it is way better than Outlands and we found the quests to be more fun, except maybe some of the vehicle quests because you spend long hours playing your toon and lvling and you suddenly find yourself on a vehicle with all your abilities gone and pushing 1 and 2, pretty much a faceroll win.
well, I think Outlands was more varied, and the instances were definitely better, but it's mainly nostaliga due to prefering 70 over 80 in almost everything :( Mages didn't steal your healing rings, dps only classes actually did more dps than hybrids who can tank/heal when they feel like it etc

Shouldofduked, dont listen to them, Enhance is great for pvp, every time i play a PvP round, i get like 17 - 32 kills (Aka 3rd - 1st place). Plus, they pwn Dps and are really fun to play. But ofc, ele is fun too, but i prefer enhance.

actually i have an ele shaman and they use mana up very slowly if you know what yourdoing i can kill a lot of things before having to drink, a lot more than when i was enhancment and even using the shamanistic rage or w/e. but yeah ele and rsto is the way to go

Just to point out, your raid buffed so I am presuming that is raid buffed and in naxxramas? If so that explains why, you always hit/crit lower level mobs than mobs your level or raid bosses.

LAVA BURST! Not lava lash. that talent is BS. Lava Burst is a lvl 75 spell (much like Lightning Bolt) except combined with flameshock its 100% crit. at my naxx ele shaman i get crits around 7-8k with it and up to 10k in raids. Note. Lava Burst and Lava Lash is two completely different talents! keep that in mind
so does flametongue weapon make the 25% increase in damage in the lava lash work? i made a enhance shaman and am trying to get the best out of his skills so plz lemme know
Lava Lash needs Flametongue Weapon on Offhand, not Flametongue Totem. And yes the higher you become the better it gets. On my Level 51 Orc Shaman I still use double windfury since I am not casting a lot, while on my Draenei I cast a lot and thus beneft fromt eh spelldamage boost the totem and the the weapon imbue give.
It gets better the further you advance. A big 2 hander, then Windfury at 30 and from 40 on with dual wield. At 50 with Shamanistic rage it will bwcome really nice.
True but still would u take away their pets or half their dots to balance the rest of the dps with hunters and warlocks? ofc not it's as much part of the class as a mage with his spells or a rogue with high dps.
Hey myrd what do you think about the Lava lash+ Flametonuge weapon... i think it really sux. I don't see any good dps imp with them. I prefer a double WF proc on both hands...?
On average my Flametongue hits for 450 (1k crits) damage each hit, in addition it boosts my spellpower, so I can get these nice 8k lightning bolts crits off, my lightning shield (static shock) will hit harder, my shocks will hit harder. Lava Lash is an additional 4% damage increase.
Using Lava Lash with windfury means that you will proc it more often on offhand and thus "steal" procs from the mainhand ...
Yeah i just tried differents build with LL and FT on OH and i really found out good dps improvement with SS glyph and WF glyph. Now im really loking forward they fix ES glyph.
It looks like they boosted spell dmg vs white dmg. That's not so bad against plate indeed. But why did they remove the LB+Maelst comb?!

Rogue or warrior would be good. Leveling a pally is probly the MOST boring class to do heh. Some people may think otherwise, but I've heard many many people say that they hate to level a pally. I've leveled a warrior and personally I think it was pretty fun. Rogue seems ok too. Just no pally.
Right warriour fun to level then hit 80 and BOOM you will kick yourself because unless your exallent at pvp you will get eaten alive by most classes, rouge omfg please dont do it they are exallent but i just dont like them waste half your fucking time in stelth, paladin ok to level a bit boring but oh well hit 80 and BOOM you relise you have choosen the right class and will pwn in pvp with absolutly no skill whatsoeva(WARLOCKS JUST USE THE SPELL EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF AND THAT COUNT FOR DRUID TO)
And dps realy is the only thing that matters, survival is the persons own senses in a battle, and paladins and priests just happen to be able to do it better than most classes.
dps is not the only thing that matter, if so why are warroirs (no offence) not always even near the top of the dps bourd then, survival does matter a hell of a lot, DPS does matter but if you have high survival you withstand most dps thorwn at you

actually u both are.. for heroics yes it's paladins for a great percentage but by far the highest... enh shamans only if pro-geared can outdps most other raidclasses. Shadowpriests,warlocks and hunters are on top dps these days.. atleast in our raids. But.. Pallys arent a joke and neither are mages.. l2play before u speak.
i was wondering the same thing, but this was the beta so in which lava burst went with maelstrom weapon. but since ive hit 80 it hasnt worked with it, my assumption is that blizz saw that it was rediculously OP with the auto-crit if u have FS up
Well we had stormstrike affecting fire Damage and Lava Burst as Instant cast. As newb level 80 grouped with mage you did a 8 - 8.5k damage crit each few seconds and it was a guarantee to keep up Elemental Devastation. Just a bit too good, but well lets see how our damage looks once we have decent gear again and can judge the damage properly - so far I can't complain :-)

Low damage becasue it is from beta! And Level 75 ;-) this video is not about the damage, it was to show the synergy that MSW/Lava Burst used to have and no longer has now.
Well looking at the damage now in 25 mans I don't think that it would be overpowered to give it back, including stormstrike fire damage bonus. There are other classes that doe so much more aoe and even much more single target dps, we are nowhere close, except for encounters like thaddious where we hybrids benefit a lot from the damage modofier.

fighting Grob in naxx. wouldnt it only activate if he was attacking you? and why you wouldnt want to keep up water shield for the mana regen.

Getting higher dps on an enhancement shaman is simple, get Hit and expertise capped, and you'll be able to deal 3.8-4.3 easily

Lol @ kids crying about enhance being sucky dps, average chance they've never even been to naxx = 95% :( I've seen mages/rogues get 1400 in 10 man naxx and shamans get 1200 in normal nexus at level 72.

I am at 6k dps atm as enhancement at 80. But there are other classes still topping it up. Shaman is a pretty fun all around class. I enjoy the versatile game play.

I have a shaman at 74 but I really hate Northrend when it comes to leveling, it was tough work getting my hunter to 80 with an epic mount, now I don't want to do it again :(

I can't believe you hate Northrend, most of my friends love it and I love Northrend as well. We think it is way better than Outlands and we found the quests to be more fun, except maybe some of the vehicle quests because you spend long hours playing your toon and lvling and you suddenly find yourself on a vehicle with all your abilities gone and pushing 1 and 2, pretty much a faceroll win.

well, I think Outlands was more varied, and the instances were definitely better, but it's mainly nostaliga due to prefering 70 over 80 in almost everything :( Mages didn't steal your healing rings, dps only classes actually did more dps than hybrids who can tank/heal when they feel like it etc

Basically there is no rotation for us, the Maelstrom Weapon is making things too random for a real rotation, isntead priority list.
Instant Lightning Bolt > Stormstrike > Shock > Lava Lash > renew Lightning shield

Shouldofduked, dont listen to them, Enhance is great for pvp, every time i play a PvP round, i get like 17 - 32 kills (Aka 3rd - 1st place). Plus, they pwn Dps and are really fun to play. But ofc, ele is fun too, but i prefer enhance.

enhance is great for dps and pvp, im an enhance and i must say it tears up :]. elemental is good for spell crits but they lvl up slowly and use alotta mana

actually i have an ele shaman and they use mana up very slowly if you know what yourdoing i can kill a lot of things before having to drink, a lot more than when i was enhancment and even using the shamanistic rage or w/e. but yeah ele and rsto is the way to go

Just to point out, your raid buffed so I am presuming that is raid buffed and in naxxramas? If so that explains why, you always hit/crit lower level mobs than mobs your level or raid bosses.

It is a Quest mob, they can only die if you have a quest and destroy the crystals at their "home" location.
It used to be possible to pull them to towns. All guards would attack the mob but it would not die until some GM despawned it.
Unfortunately it was fixed.

LAVA BURST! Not lava lash. that talent is BS. Lava Burst is a lvl 75 spell (much like Lightning Bolt) except combined with flameshock its 100% crit. at my naxx ele shaman i get crits around 7-8k with it and up to 10k in raids. Note. Lava Burst and Lava Lash is two completely different talents! keep that in mind

This is just silly. On my damage breakdown Lava Lash is 4% of my total damage. 4% more damage is not a lot, but it is still better than nothing.
Nearly 50% of my damage is now spellbased, so flame tongue on offhand is better than you may think.

Lava Lash needs Flametongue Weapon on Offhand, not Flametongue Totem. And yes the higher you become the better it gets. On my Level 51 Orc Shaman I still use double windfury since I am not casting a lot, while on my Draenei I cast a lot and thus beneft fromt eh spelldamage boost the totem and the the weapon imbue give.

It gets better the further you advance. A big 2 hander, then Windfury at 30 and from 40 on with dual wield. At 50 with Shamanistic rage it will bwcome really nice.

On average my Flametongue hits for 450 (1k crits) damage each hit, in addition it boosts my spellpower, so I can get these nice 8k lightning bolts crits off, my lightning shield (static shock) will hit harder, my shocks will hit harder. Lava Lash is an additional 4% damage increase.
Using Lava Lash with windfury means that you will proc it more often on offhand and thus "steal" procs from the mainhand ...
Imo MSW Lightning Bolt > Stormstrike > Shock > Lava Lash
That is how I prio buttons atm.

Yeah i just tried differents build with LL and FT on OH and i really found out good dps improvement with SS glyph and WF glyph. Now im really loking forward they fix ES glyph.
It looks like they boosted spell dmg vs white dmg. That's not so bad against plate indeed. But why did they remove the LB+Maelst comb?!

It was pretty overpowered. 8k Lava Bursts each few sec and guaranteed 9% Melee crit.
Too bad though, the Synergy the whole Shaman builds had was just insanely nice.

Rogue or warrior would be good. Leveling a pally is probly the MOST boring class to do heh. Some people may think otherwise, but I've heard many many people say that they hate to level a pally. I've leveled a warrior and personally I think it was pretty fun. Rogue seems ok too. Just no pally.

And dps realy is the only thing that matters, survival is the persons own senses in a battle, and paladins and priests just happen to be able to do it better than most classes.

actually u both are.. for heroics yes it's paladins for a great percentage but by far the highest... enh shamans only if pro-geared can outdps most other raidclasses. Shadowpriests,warlocks and hunters are on top dps these days.. atleast in our raids. But.. Pallys arent a joke and neither are mages.. l2play before u speak.

Well we had stormstrike affecting fire Damage and Lava Burst as Instant cast. As newb level 80 grouped with mage you did a 8 - 8.5k damage crit each few seconds and it was a guarantee to keep up Elemental Devastation. Just a bit too good, but well lets see how our damage looks once we have decent gear again and can judge the damage properly - so far I can't complain :-)

Well looking at the damage now in 25 mans I don't think that it would be overpowered to give it back, including stormstrike fire damage bonus. There are other classes that doe so much more aoe and even much more single target dps, we are nowhere close, except for encounters like thaddious where we hybrids benefit a lot from the damage modofier.
