I've seen guys fly their CL-215 gas jobs so fast you'd swear they were flying pattern, and flying so high you could barely see it. (Nervous flyers) But you did it just right.
Hi, just one big maybe stupid question!!! Just finish to build it...first time I build 2 motors plane...what about rotation??? same or opposite rotation? one clockwise an other anti-clockwise? Thanks a lot!! Diego
checked your site would like to know when you plane on getting these planes in stock. and what they cost. please get back to me soon with the info and like always GREAT video and flying.
@ Mr ROTD you are wrong , It is CL-415 . Not 215 , .that i used to work on back in early 80s , this one CL-415 has turbo prop , as the old one CL-215 was a piston driven .This one was developed by Bombordair , which they took over Canadair ,in 1994 . So To Nitro , dont change it you are Rite .
Good job Antonino, I noticed you had to really had to fly using the rudder on the turns. Flies much like the Guan-li PBY. I think the motor combo you had flew very realistic in flight. Good Job.
the pronunciation of Canadair was wrong, as pointed out but it does represent a CL-415, which is a development of the CL-215. Great looking model. Too cool A must have for sure.
How did you mount those Alpha 370 motors to the nacelles? They look like they mount behind the firewall with their X-mount on your website, yet in this video they sit out in front. How did you do that?
I would go with a 400 or 480 size motor on that plane. It also seemed just a tad tail heavy too. But for the most part it flew great! ETA on in stock status?
Cool,what oyu think the Price of this Puppy would be...Very nice i see these at our Airport all the time there are is 1 Stationed here in St Johns Newfoundland,Canada a CL 215 and 2 CL 415's in Gander ,NL . Love watching them take off and land...;0)
c'mon guys, I want to see more landings and take offs on reviews. what is the difference between Canadair and normal planes? This Canadair is floating - more pics on water, more landings and more takeoffs!!!
@frestdaggy Canadair is a manufacturer, not a type of aircraft. It's actually called the Bombardier 415 (formally the Canadair CL415) and it's nickname is the 'Superscooper"
It's pronounced KAN-uh-dair, not kanud-AIR. The real plane is manufactured in CANADA...hence Canadair. Thanks

@QAFtuvok101
i know. they have no defrosting and its hazardous to fly them because ice will form on the wings.

@diegobobcat Counter-rotating (one clockwise, other anticlockwise) works best to avoid torque pull.

Canadair is the brand name as in Canada, Ca-Na-Dair. It's a Canadair CL-215 Water Bomber, Please correct your title.
MrROTD 11 months ago
@MrROTD thanks, updated
nitroplanes 11 months ago
@MrROTD CL-415 is the turboprop version, so given the appearance of the nacelles, 415 is correct. The -215 had P&W radial engines.
badoinkbadoink 10 months ago
@badoinkbadoink Correct, tought i think some 215s were refitted with turboprops and are designated CL-215T
