Cars back then were solid and the driver took all the force from the crash as opposed to the car. If you have a 5 point harness and neck strap then it doesnt matter so much. I just dont know why 5 point harnesses aren't DOT approved whebn there obviouslt better that the stock seat belt.

@rawrzbarz Well, seeing as i OWN and DRIVE an american V8 and know that for the size of the engine they really aren't that great. Granted, there are some exceptions and the viper srt-10 is one of them, for the size, american V8s (especially older ones) tend to be putting out a depressing amount of HP considering their engine size. Try an impreza wrx (which, btw, i have also driven), granted it's turbocharged but it puts out about the same as my V8 in both torque and hp, yet has 2.0 vs my 4.7l...

@rockshox101avidjuicy you sound so stupid! an 03/04 cobra with a 281 puts down 400 wheel horse out of the box and runs 12's. ls powered cars put out impressive power stock. late model ford and gm powered v8s are out of control with endless potential both makeing 600, 700, and 800 horse with stock longblocks remaining fairly reliable with good driveability. the drivetrain in these all wheel drive turbo imports hardley handle any respectable power.... and a 4.7 what do you have a hicked out dodge?
