For me, this is the most emotionally sophisticated track on the album, and arguably the most musically complex. The sense of longing expressed in this song is at once both plaintive and urgent, sad and uplifting, beautiful and haunting. Most artists today struggle to convey a simple, pure emotional clearly, much less a mutli-dimensional one like in this song. As for the music...guitar is and bells are in 7/4, the piano loops a 24-beat pattern, and the bass/percussion in 4/4...WICKED!

I like this album a lot - my only minor complaint is that, on some pieces, he makes a bit too much use of a metallic sound that's like a rusty spring ~ not too much of that sound in this song. (I first heard that same sound in a Peter Gabriel song.)
I was at a electronic store (Fry's Electronics), and it was playing some song of BT's, but I don't remember which one? But main point was, in surround sound, it was AWESOME!
I love how BT decided to keep what most people would re-do during the guitar when switching chords. Even in music certain imperfections are beautiful.
This is my favorite track from the album, which is my favorite album of all time. Although I love the song in its full entirety, it's still incredible. Absolutely amazing.

I only knew BT from the song "Force of Gravity" but after this song I have become somewhat obsessed by its magic. It is truly soothing and takes me away to another place whilst I am listening to it. It has exactly everything what I expected it to contain and it really follows my thoughts & emotions.. words cannot express it.. simply awesome.

BT is such atmospheric music, whenever I listen to his stuff I always go off into other worlds, its unbelievable.

Your view on the worlds revolvment around shitty music today is very accurate and correct. This song among many others is to me, a gateway to a grassy, area covered in forrest where I can slip back into my mind and enter the gateway where I can sit and relax.
I just wish people would stop considering bad music to be good music, it's doesn't make sense. You are right, this band and like so many others, make music that should be in the history books.
