  • John Lithgow is so awesome in this!!!!!!!!

  • Where the FUCK is the original???

  • @AMrTheAn its by microwavejellyfish

  • Comment removed

  • i didnt get the ending what happen??

  • very bad manners? that bitch took a picture of him in the face and spelled out no smoking like hes retarded

  • Gremlins wrecking airplanes is actually an urban-legend that dates back to the 1940s. "And that's exactly how it happened. I'm practically a hero. Would you believe that?"

  • I never noticed Oliver Stone was in this!

  • This was a good episode

  • Is it just me or does the original gremlin scare me a heck of a lot more than this one?

  • Y u no explain Dan Ackroyd? Y u so vague?

  • If I ever see John Lithgow on a plane, I'm going to crap my pants.

  • Pause at 00:52 !!!! Eyes popping out of his skull!!!

This & The Raft from Creepshow 2 are the best horror shorts ever!

  • at 0:13 i was all like "DON'T OPEN THE WINDOW!!!!!!!" lol

  • does anybody know the name of the song with the creepy violin that plays right before he flips up the blind on the window?

  • is it over?

  • how on earth did he get a gun on the plane? oO

  • I don't know what's scarier, the look on John's face or the gremlin XD

  • I'd be shitting myself when If I had my head stuck out that window. Knowing the creature has full access to you now. This scene made me fear flying at night and sitting anywhere near the wing as a kid.

  • @84heroes1 What I'm saying is Dan Aykroyd turned into a monster in the film's opening segment and ate Albert Brooks and now he's in the ambulance about to repeat his actions on Lithgow.

  • @84heroes1 Dan Aykroyd wasn't the narrator, Burgess Meredith was. And he's implying that he's going to turn into the monster that he turned into at the beginning and eat Valentine like he did Albert Brooks.

  • the end bit where he says wanna see something really scary made me orignally think he was seeing the gremlin again

  • @84heroes1 thanks i was wondering why he said that. i didn't understand it at first but now i do. thanks!

  • I don't get the end want to see something scary is he implying that it was him?

  • This gives me psychosis D: and I love

  • I had nightmare for years over the scene at 0:50 when I was a kid. It was a late night show on swedish TV and my parents warned me from watching it. I guess I got what I deserved!

  • Umm am i the only one who notices John Lithgow's eye bulge out of his head after he sees the gremlin seriously if you pause it right his eyes are bulging

  • @robirdsfilmmaker No you're not the only one. This segment was directed by George Miller, who was also behind Mad Max. The bad guy in that, Toecutter, does the exact same thing at the end right before his motorcycle is rammed head-on by semi-trailer. I'm guessing it was a George Miller thing.

  • @AusTVemporium: I saw it too but thought it was a result of crossed images between John Lithgo and the Gremlin! I paused it just in time and saw it!

  • @robirdsfilmmaker

It is an enhanced effect, possibly animation given the age of the film, but its done pretty well. Blink and you miss it :)

  • I saw that to lol

  • @robirdsfilmmaker no you are not

  • (it,she,he)said No no no.

  • 0:40 resist resist 0:50 HOLY SH*T

  • John Lithgow's eyes popped out at 0.51 ... LOL!!!

  • John Lithgow looked scarier than the gremlin.

  • What a asshole

  • ah 240p we meet again

  • :O

  • Gives me the creeps.

  • he was tired of those motherfucking gremlins on that motherfucking plane!

  • @TensionManORG funny..

  • Talk about scary movie. :-D It's October

already and Halloween is just around the corner.

    Happy Halloween to you all

  • Did the driver mean that he was also a gremlin in human form?

  • 0:53 some of the best acting period!!!

  • HOLY TOLEDO.

rotf. This was scary. I can't believe that was Dan Akroyd in the ambulance.

  • love this. get me everytime

  • Hah, got a pic of his eyes popping out :), why the fuck did they add that in the film?

  • The music was freaking priceless at this point....this probably has to be the greatest Twilight Zone story ever....or at least one of the top five.

  • I love the quick, bird-like motions of the gremlin. They might be the results of cheap animatronics, but they work in selling the creature's freaky, alien nature.

  • This segment creeped me right the fuck out as a kid. o.o;

  • @MrPoeGhost me too! Thank God I just watched it again so I can be over it! Pretty fake but still horrible looking thing! hahaha

  • personally, i'd rather the original version....

  • Is this the end? I don't get it...

  • John Lithgow should've gotten an academy award for best actor for this performance. He was awsome in this particular segment from the twilight zone movie.

  • "wanna see something really scary?" (Meaning the insane asylum he was going to)

  • "you silly you used to be a normal person" To hell with that kid !

  • "I wanna know if there's any fuel leakin' outta this baby," he says right before lighting up a cigar.

    \8-P

"Let's chock these tires." I like that they included that line because that's realistic. Tires are always chocked before performing maintenance (also when loading/unloading semi trailers).

  • Or at least in the original that one was stopped by a gun ! this ones attack on the engine was stopped when he fired on him !

  • There was a Mexican cop who got attacked my one these ! Really ! No twilight zone ! Guns can kill them though ! This movie tells you that !

  • I've always kind of hoped that Lithgow told the driver "Fuck no!" and then Demon Aykroyd was all like "Well shit, now what?" :)

  • This is probably my favorite part of this movie. or any Twilight Zone story for that matter.

I was ACTUALLY Frightened at the notion of such an odd creature on the wing of a plane! and the music in this totally adds to the fear

  • Lithgow eye bulge at about :50-:53 secs in hilarious

  • i wonder what the fuck he was asked if he wanted to see.

  • I remember seeing this when i was only five years old, and it frightened me so bad, I never forgot it. the monster reminded me of the chupacabra

  • 6:05. the Gremlin is like "F you John Lithgow!!"

  • John Lithgow, what a great actor.

  • I can belive that monster let him live, that calm me down

  • Love this part of the movie. The music is real good.

  • I was hoping the little girl flew out the window when it broke.

  • go to 00:43 its so scary it mademe jump lol

  • Lithgow must have had a blast playing this role.

  • the cop saw the gremlin! he's the gremlin's inside man and was trying to cover it up!

  • i dont think that gremlin would put up with all that TSA bullshit!

  • Notice ONLY the old woman knew he was telling the truth, because SHE seen the Gremlin too?

  • @Toyman1982 You didn't enough attention. She said "I'm just trying to help, you gotta humor them". "Them" being crazy people, which is what she thought he was.

  • This version is FAR Superior to the old version, hell THIS version still holds up TODAY even with all the changes to the airport laws and such...

  • Love the music leading up to him opening the shade. Perfectly builds up the tension. Jerry Goldsmith is the man!

  • Holy Shit that was awesome

  • @Zacktricity OSHI-

  • No! Don't look! Don't do it! FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

  • Quit opening the window, you fuck.

  • I saw this version as a kid and loved it. As an adult, I finally saw the 1963 version and loved it even more. Years later, I'm now watching this one and I... don't like it anymore. By comparison, this version seems immature (the characters), too comical in tone, shallow, and doesn't have the proper payoff for the hero in the end. (In the original, Shatner clearly saved the plane by wounding the gremlin, heroically, but in this one he fails and is only saved by the approaching runway lights.)

  • @hawaiidispenser couldnt agree more. If Shatner hadnt shot the Gremlin they may have all ended up dead, and it was never revealed if the damage done to the plane was ever noticed by others in time not to mark him as a crazy man forever. Also, the 60's Gremlin has some sort of "realness" to it...I cant really explain it, but because he doesnt look like a stereotypical Gremlin, he appears to be more scary and generally the entire episode has a much darker, psychological tone to it.

  • @Kizuii Thanks! Actually, in the original, Serling's final narration does say that "happily" people will learn that he's not crazy because of the tangible proof about to be discovered. You make a good point about the 60s gremlin. It's unique, unconventional look gave off a surreal, eerie feeling, while the 80s one looks "badass" like Predator and so it's evilness is easier to define. I think mystery and vagueness is better at leaving us unsettled and shaken. Agree with "much darker" too!

  • Comment removed

  • Lithgow starts looking about as bad as the 60s gremlin!

  • What the hell did I just watch??

  • Golf

  • I don't get the ending

  • @jxl001 watch the opening scene

  • "You used to be a normal person!" Great line. Normal people never save the day though, do they

  • I never noticed the eye popping thing, I managed to pause it for that split second, that effect is creeper than the damn gremlin!

  • The monster looks way better in this one than in the original

  • 0:50 - Eyes pop out of head! Another thing - most of John Lithgow's film work in the 80's required him to hyperventilate, like in 2010 during the space walk

  • yh

  • @Lordmij Who cares about the date of the movie. I love movies and I love The Twilight Zone. A movie made in 1983 isn't that old. So why don't you get a life and stop judging me based on my movie preference.

  • wanna see something really scary????

    Great movie.

  • anybody else shit there selves when he looked out the second time

  • 5:00 shoot that bitch!

  • The Gremlin went back to Kremlin

  • 6:52 - Is anyone else wondering where all those flying papers came from?

  • Way cooler than the gremlin from the Bugs Bunny short "Falling Hare".

  • @Tarkus2040 LOL...That is completely awesome that you referenced that 1940's era Warner Bros. classic....1943 to be exact - 40 years before George Miller brought us this segment. Kudos

  • @DaemonicNimrod Thanks, man. Age does have its advantages at times; 42 years to be exact. A sure turn-on for the ladies. ;-D

  • haha his eye at 00:57

  • God, this was so brilliant. All the other segments were good, but wow, this was so creepy. Somehow, it managed to be so distant from the original... but still have that weird feeling of a twilight zone episode, only modern. This segment left the others in the dust!

  • 9:10 "I want to know if there's any fuel leaking out of this baby"

    *light a cigarette*

  • Umm.. What was supposed to be scary?

  • @lexilablies65 No its supposed to make you think.

  • @NamesChiz

    Think about what?

    Crazy people? lol

  • the simpsons is best

  • God the original version is better than this schlock.

  • anyone else know this was the father from 3rd rock from the sun ?, all these years i never knew untill now.

  • @Buckcityremix Sure, Hes´John Lithgow. I may be wrong but i remember him making a reference to tha movie in an episode when they took a flight

  • I would never fly again!

  • That blonde stewardess is Dan Akroyd's real life wife. Lucky bastard.

  • For the love of god, don't open the overhead bins, the contents may have shifted!

  • why does the actor look so much like the drummer out of metallica

  • @DEVILDAY666 haha thts wht i was thinking

  • I'm going to now have nightmares... What's with the gremlin being all gooey?

  • What's with Lightgow's eyes at 0:51?

  • What's with the eyes at 0:51?

  • I bet hes on the no fly list.

  • I really dont understand what the ambulance driving was getting at in the end

  • @DemonGirl009 If you read the video description, it tells you to go and watch the opening scene from the movie. It's kinda hard to explain, so I would strongly suggest watching it. It's a little scary, but if you handled the gremlin scene here then you'll probably be fine.

  • @DemonGirl009 this was a skit in a series of skits, dubbed twilight zone. the opening skit was two friends riding in a car, one of them the ambulance driver. They were talking about scary things, and when the driver takes his turn, he pulls over and asks his friend, wanna see something really scary? he then shows his true form, which is some sort of creature, and then kills his friend.

  • @vonjager Ah! thank you very much!

  • This was by far the best one in the movie. The other ones killed it with the attempts at a happy ending

  • That thing is Bad Ass. It can breathe at high elevations, must have traction on its paws/feet like a motherfucker to stay on an airplane moving at high speeds. Why, it even has a sense of humor!

    Naughty, naughty!

  • why did it grab his face???

  • Ugh, this still creeps the shit outta me. John Lithgow's facial expressions are priceless!

  • What is with his eyes at 0:51? o_O

  • @EnlightenedEgoInc It's a super fast smash cut to add to the craziness of the scene.

  • SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME THE ENDING!!

  • @2013recruited The epilogue features Valentine being driven to the sanitarium by the passenger from the prologue (played by Dan Aykroyd), who is actually a demonic creature who killed his driving companion (Albert Brooks) at the beginning of the movie after asking, "Want to see something really scary?". He poses the same question to Valentine just as the film ends.

Basically, The ambulance driver is a demon, you would know if you watched the whole movie.

  • @2013recruited well you have to see the begging to understand it

  • Didn't get the ending

  • @NotoriousEcho This is from Twilight Zone The Movie and at the beginning you see Dan Aykroyd driving with Albert Brooks at twilight on the highway. At the end of the opening he asks Brooks "Do you wanna see something REALLY scary?" and Brooks pulls over. Dan Aykroyd turns into a demon and it implies that he kills him. Watch the whole movie.

  • @connerspencern get a life bro, this a 20 some year old movie

  • Wings this is awesome!

  • wings was right. this is intriguing.

  • @WhatTehPat yeah legend he is :)

  • 0:50 watch Lithgow's eye's.

  • @shutupurgonnamakeit popping ain't it lol

  • @DanePax LMAO.

  • I just jumped from my chair about 30 ft in the air

  • aww i spilled my lemonade on my shirt....

  • Unfortunately... correct !!!

  • i don't get the ending

  • @miketh33 me neither. the original makes it a lot clearer thanks to the sexy narration by Rod Serling

  • They might be from different countries but as of at least the last 10 years, ALL ARE MUSLIM. Show me any suicide bombing or crashing of planes into buildings that are not MUSLIM. No other terrorists use SUICIDE bombing as a tactic. 90% of all acts of terrorism around the world are from Muslims or in the name of Allah.

  • @mvm71 Your bordering on racism. Don't use definite words.

  • 6:46

  • Probably a Muslim Gremlin!

  • @mvm71 what makes you say that?

  • @Nathanwmang Because they try to crash planes too!

  • @mvm71 Not all terrorists are Muslim or from the middle east. There is 10 terrorists for every nationality, Canadian, American, Russian, Chinese ect...

  • @mvm71 Oh, shut up!

  • Thumbs up if you wish John Lithgow had given the little blonde girl to the gremlin in exchange for leaving the plane alone.

  • holy shit!!!!

  • That guy was just a worker for southwest airlines ... Get it he's poor and ugly , and gross ... And he can fly

  • Is there a version where he kills it?

  • @larba200

I think in the original he shoots it and it falls off the wing, but I'm not sure if it died

  • @JesusX666 so in the end the gremlin was real after all.....cause the guy at 9:35
