  • I love this version of the song! :D is this part of a soundtrack?

  • its a decent version but compared to the movie im just not feeling the intense emotions that this song needs

its not a bad version but the emotions thats needed for this song isnt there and that just bugs the hell out of me

its a good song and you need to fell how intense it is

    the music makes it intense

yes they sing good its not that but this needs singers that can really show emotions through their voice and im just not feeling it

  • When I saw this with my sister I was under that spell. I love it soo much.

  • what happened to Nathans voice??

  • I'm just not feein' it

  • It's the short film because the stage play version of this song doesn't have Shilo in it

  • If no one answered your question. This version of the song is from the actual play. Completely different characters, and people. Love both versions though

  • /i like the movie version better. This one sounds... strange.

  • hmmmm i like play music more a lil (: and singers

  • i like anthony stewart head better as Nathan/Repo Man. its a tossup between Alexa Vega and this girl... i dont know her name... the whispers are better in the movie, ahaha.

  • Yeah, I agree that Anthony Stewart Head is a better Nathan. He has better control of his voice, so he can switch between sounding extremely sad and extremely psychotic pretty much instantly

  • ...Must be stage version.

  • woooo...nice, i like it~

  • I like the singing but the music itself seems a bit rushed in this one

  • I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anthany Head is FAR better as Nathan, but I have to say I liked this female actress as Shiloh much better. AH is the ONLY one who can do Nate's singing voice so...beautifully! That's the only way I can explain AH's singing voice- just beautiful and heart-wrenchingly wonderful in certain parts.

He's the only actor I will except as Nate and Repo Man. I'm serious~

  • This is the only song I like better from the movie. I find it to have more feeling but that might just be me

  • i prefer this version over the movie one thanks for uploading

  • I think it's from the 2006-movie version - I saw a short clip from the stage version once, and as far as I remember, it was a male solo version... Not 100% sure though.

  • WOAH. TOTALLY different than what I was expecting. O_o I was expecting the movie version. But holy crap, I like this guy too. :D

  • I like this one better

  • What happens in the ending for the stage version?? I heard Nathan lives but what happens to everyone??

  • No one can beat Anthony Head as the Repo Man. ASH's Repo Man makes you shudder (in a good way) because it's creepy and angry and powerful. This man makes him sound sad to the point of being almost cute. I like him. He's a different approach. But the movie version's better, of course. ;) And this girl and Alexa Vega's Shilo sound similar, although this one sounds more rock-like. You can tell Head and Vega were influenced heavily by this version.

  • its in the movie to

  • It is "Let the monster rise"! It's the stage play version.

  • @MrResidenteviladdict

It was a early version, from the short film version, is like the original Let the Monster Rise version.

  • I think what's different about this version is that this Nathan plays a more unstable REPO man. While Anthony Head nails both the loving father and the demon, it seems this version emphasizes Nathan's madness. There isn't as clear of a distinction as with Anthony, who even goes so far as to change his voice.

Anthony plays a much more advanced version of the REPO man, but I /love/ the singer of this version, nonetheless. I'd like to hear these singers with the fuller version of the song.

  • Oh, I hate the ending.

  • this isn't the version from the movie.

  • i like both versions. theres something about this that makes it better than the other one, and theres something abotu the other one that makes it better than this one,. But they are equally baddass.

  • this is in the movie

  • I like the girl singer in this version better than the movie version. But Nathan's voice is much firmer in the movie, and I like him better.

  • i think this is from the 10 minute version cause the lyrics are different in the stage version.

  • hmm sounds quite cool. Actually it´s different from the movieversion but as cool as allways^^

  • I like this version =)

  • ok,the repo the genetic opera the movie makes this ok like crap

  • this guy singing is the graverobber from the movie.

when they did it as a stage play he played the repo man.

i like both anthony and this guy they both are very good.

  • bullshit. this isnt the graverobber from the movie. silly

  • read the discription.

  • This is not Terrance Zdunich. >> --Judo

  • anyone else hear the scream at 0:08

  • i heard it

  • Exactly. It isnt him. But even if he isn't Anthony Stewart Head, some people think that he is still good.

  • i really like this song.

  • imho, this version is a bit more haunting than the one in the movie.

  • I agree.

  • both have great hackin voices

  • a fred fan

  • haha actually 'haken' i think is a great replace .... yah ...

  • nathan, the graverobber, and bill mosely were the best

  • that girl is good but i don't like the man :)

  • WHAT?!!!

How could you not like Nathan?!!!!

    He's the freakin best!!

Are you on crack or something?!!

  • this was actually in the movie.

  • yes it was, but not this version of it

  • i like Anthony and Alexa better...

  • GO REPO!!!!!!

  • I like this version and id love to see the stage also, but the movie curses my cravings at the moment ;)

  • plz upload more from the 10 minute verson!!!

  • at 1:45 he says that rotti "stole my marni" technicly nathan stole marni from rotti sooooo...ya

  • she chose Nathan. He, Rotti, stole her in the sense of life, i.e. killed her.

  • wait...nathan knows that rotti killed marni???why did he become a repoman then?

  • why not? kick ass suit -_-

  • So Rotti doesnt say anything to Shilo about her mothers death. He had no choice really.

  • actually nathan killed her, only to save shilo

  • Rotti poisoned Marni, thusly it was Rotti who killed Marni. Nathan merely had to make the choice of who to save.

  • well in this version rotti kidnapped marni sooooo...ya

  • oh, realy? cool i havent sen it

  • Actually, Marni chose Nathan instead of Rotti. Then Rotti got so mad that he killed Marni....

  • In the commentary they explained that in the original film there was a 20-minute subplot where Marni's body was stolen from under their house, but it was cut out. That's why the Marni hologram disappears from all the portraits. They did a LOT of cutting, actually, I really want to see the full version...

  • You know, I was wondering why the holograms disappeared. I was like "woah, freaky."

  • I have this version on my MP3

Honestly I think Shiloh's singing voice was better in this version. (but that's just me.) I like both the movie and stage version

  • I'd like to hear the entire album though Anthony Head is always number 1 to me!!!

  • I saw the movie today...

    IT WAS SO FUCKING AWSOME

But the ending was hella sad

And I like this version better

    Lolz

  • I love the violin in the beginning

And I love the mans voice

    Its so awsomness

    LOVE IT

  • I ♥ This song

  • Comment removed

  • its not a remix.. its from the stage play. if you read the info box, you would see that.

  • I like the guitar in the song better here than in the movie.

  • I don't know which is better.... but I like mine with a video... but this one is still really epic...

  • best musical ever. This is the modern hair :D

  • This part all the way to the end had me sitting on the edge of my couch with my hand up to my mouth, jaw-hung.

    haha.

  • saw this movie today...LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!

  • i did i did i am i am

then tell me how to act dad tell me what so say dad tell me why every word you ever told me dad IS A LIE

  • ugh! I like the version from the movie better.

  • Agreed!

How is your comment a thumbs down? haha. Im voting thumbs up.

  • I love this version!!! hehehehe!!! :) :p

  • i did i did i am i am you did you did

  • Wow...this version is AWEsome!

  • Hmmm I Love Anthony Head's voice in the film, he really is fantastic.

But....I really really like this, this is awesome. ^_^

  • this is the first version and song I heard from Repo and I like the movie Version better because Anthony voice is amazing.

I wish I could of saw the play though D; I envy those who have.

  • I think it is the play

  • it is.

  • Where did you get this version from? I'd totally like to have it. I love both versions equally. Support Repo!

  • i got it from a myspace page, but i don't think it's downloadble from it anymore because ever since myspace updated and the music pages changed, a lot of songs that were set as downloadable are no longer so.

  • @xMorbidDemonx I like this for a change, but I LOVE the ASH/Alexa version. Tony is such an actor, he puts more feeling into it and it really rocks! the music is a little different in this and the lyrics too. nice find!

  • i like the movie better because the singing kind of stinks and i like anthony's voice way better then this dudes but i like thins on too

  • the guitar work in this one is cooler but other than that the movie singing is much better

  • A.) The focus switches to third person because Shilo leaves the room.

B.) There was much more emotion in the movie. Anthony can GROWL!

C.) The words are a little different. At the end of the song in the movie, if I remember properly, Nathan states, "Then let the father die/ And let the monster rise!" Which I think is much more appropriate.

Thanks for all the music. It's nice to be able to hear it until I get my DVD in the mail!

  • this is in the movie....

  • the song is in the movie, but this isn't the version they used for the movie.

  • this is the awful stage show version

  • this was ths stage play version

  • In the description of the video, in the last two lines from Shilo, I don't think that was Shilo singing that part because Nathan said "And didn't I raise her all alone?." If he was saying that to Shilo then why wouldn't he put it as "And didn't I raise you all alone?"

  • the part where he said "AND I DIDNT RAISE HER ALL ALONE?"...he wasnt tlking 2 her...why do c tht when he said tht they put whispers saying "YOU DID"

  • i thought this was the flim version the movie was great everyone support repo and buy the soundtrack!

  • I prefer the movie version, but this one is very nice, too...

  • Well, I think the stage Nathan has a great deal of emotion. Anthony Steward Head does a great job, don't get me wrong. I just love this version. To each their own, I guess.

  • the guy has a good voice I'll give him that but it doesn't work in context of the characters, mostly because the Nathan and shilo sound extremely close in age, more like a feuding couple then fighting child and parent.

  • Very true.

  • I'm so pissed. THIS needs to be the version in the film. The one in the movie doesn't even sound like them... this one does.

    I'm so confused.

  • The cast singing this song are NOT the same as the cast of the film. ;)

  • heady was better

  • anthony stewart head was so much better than the stage guy.

  • the stage version for sure!

    Phantom

  • i think i like this version better than the movie version, broadway singers tend to have better voices though cuz you have to be awesome to do a musical :-). i think she sings higher than the other girl, a much stronger voice, too. alexa vega did a good job though. i haven't listened to all of the soundtrack on either version yet though. can't wait to actually see the movie! lol.

  • I agree. They're both great, but I'm so in love with this version.

  • I found a site that had a bunch of reviews for the movie, apparently people hated it and the music! I don't know about the movie, but I love the music on the soundtrack. Stupid media don't know how to appreciate something that's different (or even *like* this kind of music to be able to review it in the first place) and just chalk it up to a musical attempting Rocky Horror fame. Wtf, these kind of people piss me off.

  • He has such a good voice

  • You did, You did

  • Is this the stage show or something? This is way WAY off

  • Lyrics are only partially correct, some parts are totally wrong, and some parts aren't even there :/

  • It's the stage show, this is how the song was origanally it was chnaged for the movie.

  • ok...I knew these voices didn't sound firmilar...I was like "is that Alexa Vega?" I was so confused! xD

but I do like this song. I love the emotion in both Nathan and Shilo's voices. especially Shilo's when she first says "you did, you did"...

  • i am so so so so so pysched for this movie, going all the way from the jersey shore to manhattan to see this!

  • I enjoy the stage show a lot, but no one can deny that Anthony Stewart Head is the best actor to grace the Repo man role, he has so much life and emotion when he sings!

  • Where can I download this version?

  • Yes exactly :D I got the soundtrack from there, and it was amazing. I love the movie version of this song, but my favorite song is "We Started This Opera Sh*t!"

I also love the song "Bravi!"

  • This most definately the stage play. The 10-minute opera didn't have Shilo in it, I do believe. :)

  • Okay thank you :]

  • I thought it was that

I just copied it off of a lyrics site, but thank you for correcting me :]

  • Nathan:

    Then Rotti took my Shilo

    Stole my Marni

    He's to blame

If I can't be the father

    then let the monster rise!

I figured I would correct that last bit. Rotti is the owner of GenCo and Marni was Nathan's wife ^^
