  • We already have public options in several states and they are all massive failures. It's the Democrats who are afraid to offer this type of compromise.

  • ok now thats propaganda what states are you taking about? there are no public options!

  • GENiUS!!! THis is a great ideal

  • if this happens... i'll have an even bigger motivation to move out of Oklahoma

  • Running from an option? You know what the word option means? You are already paying for the uninsured when they go to the emergency room.

  • im saying i doubt Oklahoma will have it. ^-^' sorry i can see how that was misinterpreted.

Oklahoma is overflowing with republican stupidity, and as much as i want to stay and try to be a voice to help things come to the better, if they dont have a public option i cant stay here.

  • If a democrat votes with the republicans on a filibuster vote, then he should be stripped of his membership.

    End of story.

And a good portion of the DNC money should be going to get him voted out in the primaries.

  • i'd totally support that idea because i live in ny and we'd definitely get the public option!

  • i love that compromise. Thats what america is about. choices.

  • and what about the 100's of thousands who want the public option but dont get it because the state denies it??

  • theyll eventually get it when they tell their elected officials that their states plan sucks. if the public option doesnt work, then they will be proven right and win more elections. its a simple concept. politicians are spineless...both dems and repubs. when they know their constituents arent happy...they act. whether it goes against what they actually believe in or not.

  • Well its simple, move out of the backwards righteous hole of a state into a state that supports your rights as an American and believes in capitalism not corporatism.

  • This is what Canada does, pretty much. Ooogely booooooogely!

  • i like this compromise =)... i can live with this...this will seperate the ppl who want reform and the ppl getting paid...

  • What a great idea! Personally, I'd love to see the public option rammed down the throat of these right-wing morons, compromise be-damned.... but this works! Gotta love this guy.

  • i kno texas aint gonna want this...i live in texas :/

  • wacko

  • FUCK TIESTO

  • Btw I support the public option

BUT If nearby states which cover the public option and the state that you live in does not provide an option, isn't there a danger of those on the borders choosing to push the resources of those in the states that do, so that the public option costs sky rocket and are more like to fail?

  • This sounds like a wonderful idea!

If some states don't want THE PUBLIC OPTION they can OPTION out!

  • should be left up to the individual. I wouldn't want a state that has an opposite stance to make the call for me.

  • Its like cheap CNN

  • Nor am I naive enough not to think that it will not be the Right that makes the first violent moves.

But the first move is not that important in the long run, is it?

Anyway they are already killing people economically with their fraudulent "Insurance Care" and have been for decades.

  • Youtube has its uses--when, for example, one can read what the Right Wingers actually say in writing over and over again, and analyse it and one again and again has glimpses of them being their own Madame La Farges.

Keep knitting your own firing squads, assholes.

  • Why not have a true state vote??

  • 10th amendment FTW. Giving states the right to choose the public option.

  • scank is such a stupid dick sucking asshole

  • right on young turk.

  • this idea is as bright as the idea of bombing the moon WTF happened to this country It's gone whacked!

  • Fuck no! I live in a 'red state'. Why should I be punished for living with a bunch of fucking Republicans?! This is worse than no public option almost. I work hard and I need that public option now. This is not a good compromise, this is a terrible terrible idea. It's an obvious shit idea.

  • Its a good idea if it comes in, you can move states. An exodus of citizens from a state that dioes not have the option to one that does, will prove telling to the state govts.

  • Corporations are a government.

  • another reason why this is stupid

what if the bill with the opt out of the public option-OPTION

has the DEMAND that people HAVE to buy insurance, either private or public (public only in blue states)

what will happen to the people in red states? they will be broken to no end......basically harassed to pay high fees, etc

    just stupid........wtf are people thinking........

  • that's the point, in the end (if public options works) everyone gets affordable reliable healthcare in the blue states, the red states WILL demand the same. If it doesn't work it will fall by the wayside and we'll have to revert back to letting people die because the rich in this country pay relatively little taxes, because they own the lawmakers. (and because the lawmakers are rich).

  • I wasn't for this compromise before, but now I am. Think of all the Southern Republicans who will get the boot once the rednecks start to realize that they're getting the shaft on health care options. This could ultimately end up being better for the progressive movement than a robust public option.

  • They are all so sure it will fix the situation but too big of pussies to actually do what they want. Man up, vote it in. Who cares about 2010, of course Democrats will lose a lot of seats anyway.

There would be nothing better for political capital than solving the health care crisis on their own. Democrats should be drooling at the prospect of saying "I told you so." The fact that they aren't is interesting. We know why.

  • Some people cant afford to move

  • People are losing their homes do to medical bills anyway..

  • Excellent point--for profit US Health Insurance contributed tot he rezl estate collapse in more ways than one, JackWhistle.

  • you know what?? the "public" are not that informed.. but the INTERNET is speeding things up and Information is moving faster than ever before.. Let state's "opt-out" and all their citizens will Move and they'll be a Third world country in the United States.. haaa.. :D

  • I kind of like this idea because when lower class Americans start migrating out of the red states to get affordable health care, they will jump right back on the bandwagon.

  • I don't understand people like you, because the only way you get to keep all of your productivity is if you live outside of society, and even then it could be argued that you are "stealing" from nature. From the first moment you were conceived, you were "stealing" someone's productive efforts and resources. You didn't earn the right to be born, your parents made you. You didn't earn citizenship, you were just born here. People rely on others to survive in society. It's called cooperation.

  • No, cooperation is actually the definition of totally unregulated capitalism. What you call cooperation is slavery. And no, people don't rely on others to survive, people like YOU rely on others to survive. I trade value for the services or value of others, I don't rely on them.

  • No. Everyone relies on others at some point. You relied on your parents to raise you. You relied on the state to recognize and protect you, your property, and other rights as a human. Capitalism has a set of rules just like any other philosophy. You still can't do whatever you want, and the energy of your labor goes towards another person's desires. Example: when you work at a company you have to follow their policies. Anything above anarchy can be defined as slavery, if you ignore compensation.

  • To add to this: if farmers stopped growing food, would you still be able to buy fresh produce? No you wouldn't. You rely on those farmers to fulfill their obligation to provide food for millions of people. if they didn't exist, the service wouldn't exist. You would be reduced to growing things yourself. Unless you have a farm in your backyard, and a self built house, using a self-forged axe, you are living off the labor of someone else.

  • No, I pay those farmers for the productive effort. I do not rely on them. They do not give me their food they charge me for it and have absolutely no obligation to continue to do so. Its called least cost production. They give up far less in one area to produce the same amount of food than I would. That's why most low skill manufacturing jobs (and rightly so) have moved to the third world. To trade for value at an agreed upon rate is not reliance its capitalism.

  • Parents raise children because they place a value on having children. State recognition of me is irrelevant, this concept has no value. I exist, their recognition of that is simply not a factor. The state does NOT protect me or my property quite the opposite, they rely on ME to be a willing slave. Capitalism has one rule, that both parties freely agree to the value of something and trade based on that value, anything beyond that is not capitalism.

  • U guys should watch my montage

  • RAM? No! The Obama administration is way too weak to ram anything down anybody's throat.

  • We are not talking about few states, I bet most southern/western states will oppose PO. And would you tell a person who needs medical attention in near futures, tough luck since your state oppose PO?

  • iantepoot

The point is that people shouldn't stuffer just b/c dumb fuckers decided that they don't like PO?

  • passenger9411

I don't its going to work like that. I mean just look at the numbers, 2/3 American support PO, 3/4 Doctors favors PO and most former opponents (AMA, Drugs, etc) supports HC reforms and even with that Democratic CAN"T even pass robust PO. Do you really think that few thousand ppl can change state Republicans politicians minds?

  • Cenk is a fat blubbering sack of shit.....someone give that fat ass a bib so he doesnt slobber all over himself

  • As Cenk would say, that is projection.

Now go get a new shirt, you drooled all over that one.

  • As Cenk said, a little bit of hope!

  • Cenk is right. Remember that Medicare was also state opt-out when it was initially passed to get it through Congress. Name one state without Medicare -- or even considering eliminating or cutting it.

Opt-Out means that these legislatures would have to take action to reject the Public Option, since the default position is IN. Remember that Bobby "No Stimulus" Jindal of LA. AND Rick "Secession!" Perry of TX have both belly-crawled up to the trough of the stimulus they denounced.

  • Plus, no-one will actually opt-out. State legislatures are traditionally less willing to fall on the sword for their ideology when push comes to shove. I bet, like stimulus, there will -- within a year -- be ZERO opt-outs. If by chance a state legislature is crazy enough to initially commit political suicide, then I guarantee an electoral decimation followed by a more moderate leadership (wash some of the crazy out) and accepting the Public Option.

  • And if your worried that a few states opting-out eliminates the competitive pressure to keep insurance companies honest...

Except for MAYBE TX, none of the most populous U.S. states, the entire NE/ MW will opt-out. But say a few do... the P.O. would still deter insurers from making the prices way out of line vs. the P.O. states, because there is this Sword of Damacles hanging over them -- of the state legislature voting for the PO. This is particularly when they can compare with other states.

  • Yes, you are right that the two main parties do not run the country for us but for the corporations.

However, at least with the Dems, there is a chance that something goes right for the ordinary Joes. Its not much but it is something.

  • How bout this. Since the public option was a compromise so republican states would pass the bill, let's do what Cenk's is talking about only with single payer. Since we give republicans the chance to opt out, no reason why we have to sacrifice single payer. Furthermore, let's make it so only the states that opt into single payer pay taxes for it. Any state that opts out does not have to pay into it. Won't be long before the morons realize single payer is the shit and checkmate!

  • That's actually a great idea. You know it'll be like the stimulus package. Republicans states opposed it and then their own people got on their asses and in the end they ended up taking the money. In some cases even asking for more. Checkmate

  • dietsnapple89

This issue shouldn't be about right or left or republicans or democrats, its about human rights.

  • I live in Utah. It would totally opt out. I want the public option. I can't afford to move.

  • Don't worry eventually the people in your state would demand it. Really at most the longest you guys would be opted out would be the 1 term the current republicans who opted out are in. Since, once Utahnians? see how well it works for other states they will demand it. Or it could be like stimulus. The people in rep states actually never gave them the option to not take it. Polls said the people wanted stimulus then republicans folded. They have to or they get voted out.

  • I like this option because when all the republican states opt out, in 10 years we'll be able to look back and see that the Public Option was the Best Option

  • Public option IS compromise.

  • even our constitution is full of comprimises.

  • The main point is that this will not reform Health care especially those states who opted out. To those states who opted out from public option, their premium will not remain constant but in fact it will increase every year. Monopoly will remain in tact.

The bigger picture is that ppl should not be punish simply b/c they live in state that opposes PO, this type of decision should be made solely by individual not state politicans

  • I'd suggest that those who live in a state that chooses to opt out should either get involved in local activism or move.

  • HC companies are middle man, there is no need for them to exist. They don't produce anything that benefit overall care.

  • fuck that shit! that sucks balls. i live in alabama and these idiots will opt out of it. let the individual opt out rather than the whole state. this restricts the choice of the public option. this backward ass state will never realize that the democrats were right with the public option. i hate this stupid state man.

  • i take it that the citizens in these states would not be taxed for this federal plan if they opted out?

even still, to opt out should be the decision of the individuals it pertains to, not some politician who thinks they can play politics with life or death situations.

  • Nobody is taxed for the federal public option.

It is an insurance scheme, money comes from premiums. NO TAXES. God damn americans are dumb.

  • Boo Tiesto! Hurray TYT!

  • Cenk is not thinking, the insurance companies will lower their prices in the states without the public option and raise them in the states with the public option until the public option dies out.

  • ok so if they raise it in the states with the public option then people in those states can keep the public option. How the hell does pricing HIGHER than your compitition make your compitition die out? lol.

  • people blame the public option and demand it to be voted away

  • or peole drop their private insurance and move to the public option forcing the private option to lower it's own prices, thus proving the public option right.

  • that could happen eventually but if the insurance companies are still making a high overall profit it would take a long time before they would give up and the public option might be voted down before that

  • This WOULD never Work... I like your videos but you just saying to oppose this is not logical is ridiculous...

Lets say 20 states op out and 30 states stay in... remember this is till federally funded program... meaning people from 50 states are paying federal taxes so that people in 30 states can go to hospitals???? WHAT talk about funding my friend... Because if it were up to me... Free HEALTH CARE and Free Medicines to Every Human Being.. dont matter the country FREE Free...

  • No its not giovt funded you idiot.

    It is self funded.

Premiums paid , just like any other insurance plan. The public option is just insurance any member of the public can take, and is optional.

You choose to pay insurance premiums, or not.

  • ye like i m suppose to believe that my friend.. name one thing that is ran by federal govt that is self sufficient... they always have to dig into taxation or print money out of thin air aka jacking up the National (federal) debt (which every one is responsible for)... All i was trying to say is that points expressed in this video might not be fair even tho author was convinced that it was the best thing and .lol i like your name by the way.. very creative.................... NOT you idiot!

  • Well you idiot my name is creative, yoiu just fail to understand it. It is a pun, based on a name, it is not the name. Look at my spelling, its different for a reason.

Govt depts that dont spend your tax dollars? None they provide a service for your tax dollars, its a trade off, you moron.

The public option is not a regular govt service. It is an insurance provider like any other insurance provider, it will get its revenue just like any other insurance provider.

  • As for the govt printing money raising debt, lol you are really stupid. Printing money raises infaltion, everyone who owns a dollar before the printing of new money over the replacement needs loses value. But no debt is taken on. You do not understand economics, or basic business, which is why you think the public option is going to be a govt dept.

  • I am not going to lie... i like this.. i think you have anger management problems but you not as stupid as i previously assumed... However... when congress tells federal reserve we want money they borrow it from federal reserve aka debt.. yes which leads to inflation because there is more money in the system then before... but we get both debt and inflation... i would like to continue and debate this issue with you but lets lose the harsh language and be respectful...

  • The reserve bank is a govt department. They do contract out the printing of money to several private banks. However the printed money is not owned by the banks which then loan it to the govt. it is the govts money the private banks just manufactured it. The value of the money printed is the govts, the banks only recieve a fee for the manufacture of the money.

No govt would allow all that public money to just be given away, thats what the secret service is for.

  • I didnt quite understand you here... but you mean to say government departments dont use tax dollars? I realize they provide services for tax dollars.. i am not against taxation... all i m saying is for all the departments that are ran by government are almost bankrupt and not self sufficient thus basic business says revenue - expense = -ve number then money needs to come from somewhere bc if i m working for DMV i need to get paid...

  • Govt departments run to a budget, they get minimaum money for the service they provide so they spend every cent. That is why they are almost bankrupt.

A govt run business has its own finances, it does not recieve money from the govt. Govt departmenets spend tax dollars, a govt run business does not.

The public option is not going to create a govt dept but a govt run business. Like all businesses it will charges sufficient fees to sustain itself.

  • over 40% of the national debt (approx. 12 trillion dollars) is owed to the Federal Reserve, the central bank of the United States, and to other government accounts. BTW, The Fed is actually quasi-public (part private, part government) so calling it "part of the government" is not strictly true.

Explain this my friend... as of today why does United States owe 5 + trillion dollars to Federal Reserve? while we only owe 2 trillion dollars to Japan and China?

  • Is that true?

Where do you get the figure of the govt owing the federal reserve?

Who owns your federal reserve if not the govt only?

I have heard this conspiracy theory before, I dismissed it due to its overwhelming craziness. But if you have evidence present it.

  • Federal reserve basically allows the government to borrow from itself at low interest, thereby "printing" money.

Now whether this lending is to to keep the economy afloat or their banking buddies afloat and get richer is the question.

  • Yes, I want the public option. No, I do not want the new Tiesto album

  • Hahahaha!!! Now that's funny.

Interesting idea but will it work?

  • I want the new Tiesto album

  • Makes me cringe a bit when they use internet jokes, it like your dad saying LOL FTW WTF!

  • Alaska gets enormous Federal Funding.

    Palin was Federal Welfare Queen.

Cut it all back to nothing.

  • It is time for a little hardball.

  • You see, folks, you are not benefitting at all from the trillions the for profit Health Insurers skim of the real economy.

Nada por nada.. Zilch. Neither is the US economy.

    Just the reverse.

  • The best choice for America is a single payer system. If the public option passes look for republicans to do all they can to block access to it through regulation and underfunding the program. And without support a public option could be a disaster. Then the same republicans would turn around and say "look we said the public option was a bad idea". Then we could be in a worse position than when we started. All because democrats cave to a very vocal minority.

  • Giving states the choice to opt out is a horrible idea. Just because a state is red doesn't mean that a good 30-50% of the Americans residing there don't want a public option... These good people will be stuck in a horrible situation if this is the case. Basicly forcing people without health insurance, who are not exactly rich, to have to relocate to a state that uses the public option. They/I can't afford that! Oklahoma sucks!

  • The best cheapest solution is Universal Health Care.

But if they can't get that & the Ins Companies won't let them, then go with the Public Option.

But if they can't get that, then go with a Public Option only in states that approve it.

Sure, some people have to move, but it beats no Public Option at all.

  • How docile.

How but eliminating for profit Health Insurers instead?

  • Yeah that's true, but think of it long term: If 50% of the people living in a red state want a public option and they move out to get it, the states that don't do a public option will be bankrupted by a lack of tax revenue, which will force them to raise taxes on the remaining residents 100% to make up for those who left, and no one hates paying higher taxes more than Republicans, so they'll leave too. . . It would be a disaster for red states. So it's a good idea.

  • It's time to devalue the Right Wing states to their true minority status and cut all Federal funding to them.

  • If glenn beck does not approve the public option, it is not going to pass...dems should negotiate with him!

  • lmao let's negotiate with a 4 year old!

  • Glenn Beck is a Right Wing Radio Terrorist.

  • Of course the dream scenario would be single payer for the whole nation.

But this was a pretty good idea, because we all know the public option will be better. The rest of the industrialized world is proof of that.

But because Americans don't think other nations can do better, and because they have the worst media on the western globe ect ect it really doesn't sink it.

However, if their fellow Americans in a state next door have it, and say its awesome, then the action can begin :D

  • "Robus or opt-out", you really think that it'll go down that way? It'll be "Opt-out or nothing:, with everyone voting for "nothing".

  • Thank god things are lookin better

  • Rockledge = FAIL

  • your a loser man hahaha

  • It looks good on paper but Americans DIE every day b/c they don't access to Health care. The ppl should not die when its preventable

  • The only good thing is when it shown to work in other states, the conservative state would adventually be forced to pick it up. Overall it just could work. But this still shouldn't have to exist when the majority of the country wants it.

  • This is bad idea, you know why?

    1. It wouldn't give individual choice if he/she want PO.

    2. State politics = not beneficial to their citizen interest

    3. PO won't be strong since some state will opt out which mean that PO won't have any leverage against HC companies.

    4. You punish ppl just b/c they live in state that oppose PO.

  • hmm this doesnt sound like a bad idea, i think this could actually work

  • Why would you punish ppl just because they live in a state where they oppose public option? Who the fuck gave their state politicians rights over individuals rights? Its up to individual if they want PO or not.

If this shit going be in the final bill, there is going to be shit to pay politically

  • When they are paid by lobbyists millions to do crap like this

  • If the majority of the people vote for a candidate that doesn't want the public option then too bad, that's what democracy is all about. If you lived in a state where that occured then you should be strongly motivated to get a different candidate into office, that's how the system works.

  • I live in Michigan and I'm pretty sure that we wouldn't have too much a problem passing a bill like this one here. But what about the rest of the country? Over 60% of the people in the country wants the public option and congress should act as such. People like "HandThatFeedsYou" should be helped too.

  • I say let the bill go down in flames and then just vote out the corporate slaves during the next round of elections.

  • I am in favor of this plan. All that's needed is a single state to keep it. If that happens then the people will see how insanely successful it is and demand an option of their own.

  • The Problem with his argument is he assumes that the program will die out, the purpose of the the program is to make health insurance cheaper and I am sure it would be done under a government program the question is will the program make a profit or loss while doing so.

If the government run program has cheaper health insurance but its books are bleeding red the program won't die out because people will want the cheap insurance.

  • If a public option goes through and Texas opts out, I'm moving the fuck out.

  • Come to CA we have great weather.=D

  • I know, I never should have left San Diego. What do you think the chances are that Gov. Ahnahld would opt in? I may be seeing you in Massachusetts!

  • I'm one of those good people in Alabama that want the public option. I don't want to get screwed out of affordable health care just because I live in a state with a bunch of idiots.

  • Fuck Compromises, Just pass the fucking Public Option already!

  • it's an interesting proposal, but i myself live in KS and wonder if my state would get in with something like that. I think a lot of people in these states who want it would be denied that opportunity...

  • Republicans do no want a public option simply because the Health care companies are paying them millions to disagree with it. Plain and simple. Money talks.

  • Truth^

Any company where the head hancho makes $100k per hour can definitely afford to pay off these money hungry republican dogs.

  • Do this little research if you have time.

Look up ALL the Republicans and Democrats that are opposed to the public option and what you will find is ALL of them are paid by the private health care lobbyist. Every single one of them. It's STAGGERING.

This is why they oppose it. They are paid MILLIONS to oppose it regardless what they think personally. All of them Dems or GOP who oppose the public option at one time or another or currently are getting huge checks from the health care companies.

  • Baucus basically had the for profits write the fucking bill.

Scum bag. Progressives in that area should target him the next time he comex up for election.

  • Though Kucinich supported Obama he has begun to call him out. He called his health speech empty air and he excoriated Baucus' bill as "Insurance Care, not Health Care."

    He is right one target.

Obama has shit or get off the pot.

  • Cenk should have Kucinich on frequently.

  • It's America's Achilles' heel. Capitalism (a good thing) has given birth to corporate communism, and these large corporations are ANTI capitalism, and ANTI competition. They use the billions they've made in the capitalist system to pay off law makers and bastardize the very system that made them rich.

It's like kicking the ladder out once you get to the top. They can spend an unimaginable amount of money before going down. If someone offered you 500 million dollars to vote no, would you?

  • fuck all of these politicians and drug companies all up in their asses

  • $200 premuium per person per year easily does it with Kuicnich's plan, with the whole country as the risk pool and a Federal non-profit Corporation as insurer.

That seems low only because the other industiralized countries that have public Health insurance still use some non-profit insurers.

Get rid of the profit and the price drops like a stone with a large risk pool.

A family of four would pay $800 or so per annum.

  • In any healthcare bill, they should also mandate that elected Govt employees, ie Congressmen and their own staff cannot receive Govt employee healthcare. Let them have the head/heart ache of dealing with Insurance companies and see how fast they bring in a public option.

  • kanye is a devil worshipper

  • I want Single Payer. Screw the Public Option. Why should insurance companies make profits from the health and well being of the Common?

  • The states that opt out, for example, Alabama: the Conservatives are so hypocritical, all that they will scream no, then when they get ill, they'll simply move into state where it's possible.

It'll cause too many problems with people moving states; especially in Florida with it being such a diverse state. It will literally split the country even more.

  • thats what i was thinking also

  • I don't like this idea, conservative legislatures may opt out to protest government and their people will screwed.

  • Marth- then let the people kick the legislators out & put in office those who'll work for the people & not the insurance companies.

  • So who came up with this?

  • humor me, what is healthcare reform, if you're so smart

  • it is real obvious that what the Insurance Companies want is not going to be good for us. Does anybody trust the insurance companies? I trust our goverment quite a bit more. And Medicare works great, especially if you take out the corporate welfare in it

  • if you can also buy health insurance across state lines. you could end up with people in Alabama buying into public option from another state whilst still having the private insurance in there state. It does seem that system could be open to abuse.

  • i thought the same thing

  • This is actually a good idea, although I feel bad for the people who aren't ignorant in the red states.

  • What will happen if say, illinois passes this and says they will have a public option, but people from Indiana choose against it? Are people allowed to be Healthcare tourists to neighbouring states? If so what's the point of having a segregated system anyway, might as well make it universal.

  • HA! Brilliant!

We'll see the same thing we saw with the stimulus money. All those right-winger reps will be on their knees BEGGING to be in on the public option.

  • This actually seems like a good idea.

  • Turds? Obongo? How clever! What a rational and intelligent argument.

  • Americans have really amazed me on this public option thing. It seems to me like they want to give the insurance companies all the health insurance business and in the process allow them to screw the American people and make massive profits, while denying people honest service for which they paid.

The senators; from both parties; seem to be looking out for the interest of the insurance companies at the expense of the American people. What a shame.

  • This seems like a good idea.

Sure ppl that want the public option but lives in states that don't get it due to conservative politicians being in charge won't get it, that sucks for them.

But thats the Tyranny of Democracy, best option u got is to work to change the state government or move.

  • I dont like this. As a liberal living in the south - this wont help me at all. I understand its compromise - but it's not the change I voted for.

  • yes but then people will notice that it works in other states and then it gives more leverage to vote out those neo cons

  • It's

    much to do over nothing.

    The "public option" is dead.

    Like in D.E.A.D.

  • No way this is in no way a good thing. What are you saying.

I mean their are people that aren't retards in places like Texas and Mississippi and they will lose out while their neighbor state is doing good.

You're being Facetious toward the governors while forgetting about the citizens Cenk.

  • What about those of us who live in a red state? I need insurance and can't afford it. What are we supposed to do? We can't help it if the rest of our state are a bunch of ignorant conservatives.

  • where do all you racist assholes slime down out of man makes me feel like i am back in alabama back in the 60s

  • sounds great, but you know what will happen, the corporations in the civilized states will hire the cheaper, uninsured labor from the backwards states, and then what. It's already happening in Boston, with the hotel staff.

  • Why play around if you know what is right?

  • This is genius.

  • Do you know what? kind of people like war? The ones that don't enlist to fight them.

yeswhere in the world have all the anti-war people gone? I think its because MSM isnt covering the wars? like they did with Bush admin. Also maybe the BO supporters are embarrassed

because their Messiah has let them down on foreign policy issues. Like BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW!
