Wait, so you're saying that you only got the FIRST callback?

Cause there's two callbacks.

The first callback is giving you a chance to perform infront of the agents.

An the second callback is to get a chance to talk to the agent who liked you, one on one.

So which is it?

ok so heres waht happened when i went there. they set me up with a interview that was seconds and then he asked if im in school, i told him yes and that i will start acting classes in college during the winter. the man that was talking with us told me on my interview that it was good that im taking classes and he told me to come back in 6 months when they are in michigan again. do you think i will get in?

On the website, proscout.com I looked up the interview locations, found one in my area, clicking on it, it says you don't really need to bring anything except a pencil and paper. Where does the money come in and is this an audition or just and interview. Help me out. Thank you so much

The Proscout interview does not cost any money. It is only the event that costs money, and you have to get invited to that based on your interview.

I decided not to perform my monologue because I realized during the course of the event that ProScout and getting an agent wasn't what I wanted to be doing at the time. It was the best decision I could have made.

It's a personal perception of the event. People say it's a scam most likely because it IS a lot of money, and it's VERY hard to get an actual callback from an agent..very few people do.

Everyone who goes to the event must walk the runway (modeling). It is optional to audition with a monologue with a few agents. You do not have to! If you get selected from the audition, you perform your monologue on stage in front of all the agents on the last day.

why do they charge so much for the invitational and what exactly is the invitational??

The money goes towards paying the agents and paying for the venue that the event is held at. The invitational is for those who went to a ProScout interview and were "invited" to an event where you "show off" yourself to casting and modeling agents, as well as perform monologues if you get chosen (there is an audition process for that).

Of course they look at facial features! And yes, looks are a big part of what the agents are looking for, fortunately or unfortunately for some people.

I was invited to come to the proscout thing and im not sure how to prepare. I mean i've been acting for 7 years and i've gone to alot of these things but there all different. How should i prepare for this one a when u went, where there alot of ppl that have had experience with acting?

There are people all over, really. Sometimes you can tell which people have had acting training, and others are so good but you wonder if they've actually had training. It depends, but I'd say a lot of the people didn't have the training. But then again, I could be wrong!

Nope. If you shortened it and it still makes sense, the agents won't even notice ;P I had to do that when I went to my second ProScout event!

There is no way you are SUPPOSED to dress. It is what you feel comfortable in, and what flatters you the most.
