  • Great teacher concise and perfectly paced!

  • I'm just starting too, and I agree with the person who said you were more helpful than the expert village educator. Thanks so much. I'm glad to find these.

  • Brad, very good lesson, help me alot. Thanks

  • great vid thanks! :D

  • That was brilliant

  • wow, never new the mando was so dirffrent from guitar.

  • thank you!

  • I Love You Brad! You're a million times better than the other guy on expert village!

  • Thanks Brad, I've been starting on the mandolin, but I've played bass, keys and guitar for years. this should help me on all my instruments, I enjoy the mandolin because it's a different approach to playing those same old guitar chords/scales. Good times!

  • Thanks, Brad for a great lesson. I'm new to the mandolin and I found this very helpful.

  • Thanks! Just trying to help... --Brad

  • Of course you remember all of the note names. Major and minor scales are diatonic, always use the first seven lettes, in order, adjust the intervals with sharps or flats when needed. It is elementary.

  • He sang an ascending melodic minor. Great ears!

  • I clearly admitted that you could probably sing it better than me! haha That 3rd was a bit flat, for sure!---Brad

  • did he sing the minor scale at the start of the video?

  • In my defense, its not a singing lesson! : ) ---Brad

  • Good burn Brad, Randy
