  • shes got OK comfirmation for a mustang

  • haha :) Did you hear the song feel for the first time on my vid? Its a good song huh? I think its one of Marie Digby's best yet :) So is this the same mustang Dan rides? Oh and how are Nasdaq and Koda?

  • I hope yer not mad at me for "copying" your choice of song. lol. It's an awesome song, I just had to use it! Yep, she WAS Dan's mustang. He kept getting hurt & refused my advice to start her all over again from stage one. The night I took HighD on her 1st trail, his mare stepped on his toe & broke it. I think his ego hurt worse than his toe. :P He said it was the last straw & he gave up! It sucks cuz I'd rather be spending my time w/HighD. :( Oh well. More experience for me I guess.. 0_o

  • Oops, I almost forgot to answer your question about Nasdaq & Koda. Koda is doing alright. Nasdaq on the other hand is not! She just can't seem to stay out of trouble! Two nights ago she managed to scrape up both of her hind legs really baddly! I haven't figured out what she got herself on, but she's scraped the insides of them all the way up to her "FOOF" ("foof" = non-technical word I use to refer to female parts. lol.) They're not too deep, just painful & very ugly. Sigh.

  • Thats not good. Do you think it was the barb wire again? Maybe if you put her in the round pen she could stay out of trouble? So did you ever find out if she was preggers?

  • Of course not haha. Anyone can use it. It isn't my property :P

Haha so he just like quit then? For good? Yea I hear you, but hey atleast you have a number of horses to work :) Wish I did...ones that are mine that is. My horse won't be able to do like anything for like months probably. Looks like we are going to have to possibly do surgery or somethibng along those lines...like freezing or chemo :(

  • I thought that ointment had done the trick for Triskit's sarcoids.. What happened? Did she get new ones or did the old ones come back or? Surgery, freezing or chemo? I'm really really sorry, that's terrible news! ;_; I'd gladly give you this mare, if there's a way to get her to you & you can afford to keep her Last week I found a hard lump in one of HighD's ears & it scared me half to death because I thought it might be a sarcoid, but I checked on it today & it's vanished.

  • Well it had seemed that way, but now they are back and the one by her ear is bigger then before and seems to be growing. On top of that she is also getting more and I think she even has one on her ...arm pit...not sure if thats what you call it on a horse. So yea its not looking good and if the next treatment (surgery, freezing or chemo) doesnt work and they come back and come back worse I may have to get her put down...so yea its not great. I hope what ever we choose works this time.

  • OMG that's so sad! I don't understand how horses can just suddenly develop them.. Do any of the other horses at your stables have sarcoids?

  • Nope not a one. As far as anyone knows it isn't transferred from horse to horse, but they are pretty sure it can be spread by flies and spread to other parts of the horses bodies by flies. I hate bugs so much! They can carry everything and anything! But yea I have no clue. Thats the sad thing it is fairly common (most common type of "bumps" found on horses) and they know hardly a thing about them.

  • That's horrible. I hope your vet finds a method that works to rid Triskit of them for good! If you ever decide to breed her, is there a danger to the foal? I hope not..

  • good work

  • Thanks! :)
