Actually I seem confused, I started on a born-again process many years ago, then eventually, gotten off the ban wagon, many faiths, after awhile it goes sour in my mouth so to speak. Christianity only the past 30-40 years ago, has been seriously as the only true faith as Jesus inside of you, then a few yrs ago it is the holy spirit, is inside of you whom is it? SEE all this confusion, and JC said turn your cheek and christians go to war and kill others, even other christians of enemies? mind ok

The fact that people argue is a good thing... it brings us closer to the truth. The fact that these people were willing to sit on a panel and discuss these powerful issues with various levels of civility and respect (and this is back in the Eighties) means we are moving forward. I believe that the cosmos is interconnected in ways that will take us many more centuries (if ever) to understand fully. I focus on loving myself, loving others, and celebrating this amazing journey we call life!

well you know jesus was judge the same way by the jews, they said he was of an evil spirit because he did works as if he was God. because he was helping people and did not care who they were, and called them good, even when the religious people called them bad. Jesus did not come to condem. he also reminded the people that they had god with them to, not just the religious jews. christians today are New age Jews.

One of my parents was born-again Christian and often acted literally demon-possessed threatened the other parent with knives and guns etc. But very upright on Sunday. There's good people and bad people and inbetween in everything. Being kind is the way to go. We attract what we are regardless of our doctrine/dogma. Silva is right. Work on making Earth better, vs. waiting for it to be blown up or waiting until Jesus decides to come back. Rome put some of the words in Jesus mouth.

I can understand both of sides of this some. The Christians have likely never even really meditated at all. I was a former born-again Christian. King Solomon said, "Be still, and know God." Most of Christianity really is left-brain, it's mental, it's dogma, it's about being right, but there is love and sincerity mixed in and I respect it. There are actually demons as well. Silva is sincere. Christianity has always sought to silence those who disagree. Rome decided what the Bible would be.

Yes, totally agree. Was referring to the Christians on the TV show. Most fundamentalist Christians I've known in many different churches throughout my life had no value for meditation. I'm not against them at all. Since a child I could sense something wrong, even in church. People were afraid of the silence.

there are two things: one is forgiveness of sins and the other is mind conrol. amazingly, mind contol means controling your mind. im one of the strange people that wants to control my mind. you may wish to have an uncontrolled mind i dont know. anyway, it is possible to have forgivenss of sins and control your mind. the more you conrol your mind the happier you can be, as the opposite is irrationality

BTW for anyone who wants to know there are a million Christian magicians. Google Santeria, hexenmeisters, Christian Wicca... And those are just modern day ones. There have *always* been Christian magicians. Don't listen to the closed-minded and uneducated.

Thank goodness we have a free society where people can train how they want. No more witch hunting! Christians always judge other spiritual ideas but we can all live together if only there is some common sense. A good person is a good person.

There have been many time in the bible where jews/christians hurt,stoned,killed, and etc. people who believed in different from them. Also, all of the bible is JEWISH. Also i have another thing. They say that Jesus is the only begotten son of god and that without believeing in him and God we will go to hell, that is utter bs. First of all, God is like a father figure, the perfect one. The perfect father wouldnt choose one child over another, he would love them all equally and unconditionally. The perfct father wouldnt never abandon any of his children no matter what they did or who they were. If wha they say is how "God" is, then there god is not God.

I think Silva is a useful method -- not perfect but useful. Silva himself was a genuinely believing Christian (which I am not). He had to argue that what he was doing was compatible with Christianity, which in his case it certainly was.

That means standing up to people who want to throw him to the wolves for trying to help other people and, mostly, succeeding. I pity the person who is too blinded by dogma to see the value of this, but you are right -- God is never blinded that way.

Your right. Also in my view, there i no middle man such as Jesus between you and the Creator. The Creator is inside you and a part of you. The link between you and the creator is direct. People need to stop relying on some invisible force that isnt truly who they say they are(God of bible), and rely on themselves. And Jesus came to teach, not to become some person to worship. Also in my view the true creator is comepletely different than the bible or any religious God.

I don't have a problem with intermediaries or with the direct-only approach personally.

What I disagree with is the spread of ignorant lies about these issues. Anyone who investigates magic and Christianity will find plenty of examples of them working well together. People who say that doesn't happen know nothing -- so they can't teach.

What anyone chooses to do about spirituality is up to them, but lying is hardly an ethical option. Let's accept that different ways have validity.

Yeah. A lot of the holidays the the majority celebrate are actually pagan holidays with their names just changed by the church. In my view the church/religion is nothing but another form of politics or government. They tell you what to believe, who to worship, whos wrong and whos right, and all of this other stuff that we should be deciding ourselves. Also the lighting of the candles is a form of "magic". Or a ritual.

Lighting candles *could* be considered magic. But the number of Christians who practice sorcery (including spells, herbalism, astrology, astral travel etc.) historically and now is big. Magic and Christianity are not incompatible.

As far as religions their effects, it's up to individuals to reasearch and decide. The key for me is informed conversation; these days I state my own views as little as possible, but I do argue against those who shut off debate.

Magic appears throughout Christian history. Acts describes divination by lots. Early Christians practiced natural magic, so did medieval ones. Attitudes hardened in the 14th c. But many people today, from Pennsylvania Hexenmeisters to Rosicrucians to practitioners of Santeria both follow Christ and use magic. (There is Christian Wicca now too.)

I don't claim they 'work well together' (that's up to the individual), but they happily co-exist if not persecuted. Do some research and you'll see.

If you are referring to Acts 16:16, the woman was demon possessed. The practice of any magic, sorcery, etc is forbidden by God, because the forces behind them are pure evil and not of God. Anyone claiming to be a Christian whilst practicing witchcraft is no Christ-follower at all. They are unrepentant sinners(Galatians 5:19-21).

And yes, you did claim they worked well together.  You deleted your post. You also said "a good person is a good person." Not if said "good person" is a liar.

If you actually do the research you will see that many people who follow Christ practice magic. If you want to say they are unrepentant sinners and witches, that's your judgment -- they would say otherwise. And they have existed since the dawn of the church and continue to exist today, as a little research would show you -- if you were interested in the truth rather than in dogma.

How do you know what Jesus came to do? Did your god tell you all of these things? Who is really doing the creating; you or this creator you're talking about? Since when is the creator of the universe about what you think He is, "in your view"?

By the way, Jesus was God in the flesh (read John 1:1) and he died for your sins, even your idolatry and blasphemy. Trust and believe in this good news and you will be saved.

There are some things wrong with the christians here. There talking about how god came to moses and that was god. For all they know it could have just been a demon or spirit acting like God. Especially when Moses was told to kill all those peoplein that one place. Wht kind of God tells u to kill? Rather than killing, the true God would want to help people understand hm and know about him, not smite them because there not aware of him and believe in something else.

How can participating in the Silva Method open one up to demons? I know of priests and nuns and ministers who practice the silva method to help other people. How can they be instruments of the devil? "By their fruits you shall know them" says the Bible. Their fruit in terms of helping others is much better than the hypocrisy I see in evangelical christians who judge others based on their interpretation of scripture.
