0:13 when you said zero pots, I knew immediately when you mean. This is either using hp equips (preferred method) or a pure int blood priest. You have to be fairly high int and have an awesome internet connection though, as lag is literally death here. My wireless sux. @deeaznkiiid "Hime" means "Princess" in Japanese. The monster Hime/Dreamy Ghost is based off the legend of Princess Okiku and the 10 plates. Basically, it goes like this:
There was a high-class woman named Okiku. She had 10 plates, which were extremely important family heirlooms, and she cared about them very much. ...
What level would you recomend soloing himes and what level should I duo with a DK? I am currently a level 76 priest with 414 int, 5.2k mp, and 1,175 hp, Lukless. Thanks in advance!
@Sandwich322 i actually am soloing himes right now at only lvl 77... and its good exp for me so far! but i suggest to have hp at 1300, use bless and invincible, and use equips that give you really good defense.
Training with an attacker IS faster still. I wouldn't spam heal to attack, using SR is vastly stronger than heal. SR is far more stable, higher damage per hit, and more hits. Win-win situation.
unfortunately no, all damage from himes is physical so ER has no effect on the damage at all. Invincible however has a very good effect so ALWAYS use it at himes.
Yes, new equips make it far easier to hime now. The new exp formula doesn't disadvantage priests as much - although splitting the map with a good attacker has its massive benefits now.
Oh, nice observation. Maybe you should also observe that this was 1. a year ago and 2. wearing HP equips? Plus I wasn't funded? It's a video on soloing himes, not damage.
I don't like using macros for attacks because when you get hit the macros cancel. In this map especially, you are almost constantly being hit so there is no point.
It's very variable because heal depends on how many monsters you hit and it's very unstable anyway. But if you have a look at some of the footage you could get a general idea.
You can go as soon as you can hit them. I would reccommend using a polearm (I hope you are hybrid!) and using polearm fury on the mobs. You will NEED a priest until higher levels to reduce the massive potion burn. the priest will mob all the himes to you (you normally stand at the left hand side of the map) and you just kill them, and use HB on the priest. to find a priest there are a couple of good places: 1. make a listing on basil and buddy some priests, or 2. go to ludi or leafre and find 1
in the good old days priests trained at MDTs with a DK but these days a lot solo at MP3 (in global at least) because it's difficult to find a party there now. you can go himes with a friend or find DKs when you have max HS. I would max HS asap and then move onto other skills such as elemental resistance (good at skeles) and dispel. Most of your skills aren't useful, dump 15 at max onto dragon (to unlock 4th job bahamut) and I would max door. You MUST have ER, door, HS and dispel maxed for bishop
trust me, this isn't good damage. my weapon was 7mil and I had no zhelm, magic gloves or a good overall. This was my first ever character, so I only got to upgrade as a bishop.
I am assuming he keeps his mana up by NOT using magic guard. He wears that pig headband to increase his hp to survive the Hime attacks. When attacked he heals and then attacks with Shining Ray. This costs mp but with Magic Guard, mp will drain much faster.
As soon as you can always take one hit without MG. With HB you will be able to take it off probably immediately. I always went for speed equips in place of HP equips but at higher lvs damage is more important for fast training.
Ok, as long as you have invincible maxed and on, you won't take more than 1.4k. Be cafeful it doesn't run out, or it will be an easy 1hko w/o hb. I always casted it every mob or every time I get to the side.
what lvl were u in this video, whats ur hp in this video too and magic. im lvl 93 with 1350hp and 606 magic. i dint know if i should solo or train there with my bro (124 shadower) pleaze help
This was ... 10x I think. I can't remember what my magic would have been, around 73x. You should definitely train with the shadower, soloing if for when you can't get a partner.
As he said fraps makes his killing a bit slower. Personally My method is using teleport to go from inside to outside the mob tele away, then back in across the mob in the other way and kinda pendulum kill them - create a new mob and repeat. Its sorta hard to explain, but getting used to the "blinking" of your character really helps your timing, also I find Having sound effects on really helps, since I was barely even looking directly at the screen after a while.
Thanks man I learned a lot from you! I have a lvl 82 preist but I don't understand why it can't take a hit from the himes! can you tell me what equips you ahve for yer preist????
I was level 10x here and had about 1400 hp when I used the hp equips here. You should never take a hit higher than 1400 ... make sure you train with invincible on. If you don't have 1400 hp with your hp equips, you have to train with a DK or magic guard.
It's a very good idea, however each would rely on the other so it would be very difficult for both. And the priest with SR has to have enough HP to take one hit, as well.
Theres a much larger amount of DKs for a priest with hs to party with then there is a supply of priests with SR. The problem is really that the priest with SR can't really party with anyone except the other priest with HS because nobody wants to party with a priest that low without hs.
Most level 7x priests would not be able to take a hit from himes without HB. Some would be able to take a hit with good hp equips.
My youtube name is inspired by a lot - my character's name Skrato (taken from socrates and plato) , the band Stratovarius which I love and the stringed instrument Stratovarius makes who makes the best cellos, which is my instrument.
level 8x?im thinking 1 person max hs first, the other max SR first, so by level 82 or 85, one dood has Max SR, and the other person max hs. therefore, it will be twice as fast, because there is lag between different skills; one person can spam SR and the other spam heal. and zak helm and wisdom staff/shine wand easily takes care of hp issues; if u can take 1 blow its ok because 1 person is spamming heal. lmao, stratovarius is also the brand which makes the best violins lol; mah instrument xD
It's definitely possible, actually I partied with priests a couple of times when I was 8x with max hs. They were level 9x and 10x though. It definitely works, the problem is for the person with max SR they are dependent on either soloing (which is hard at level 8x) or partying with the priest who agreed to party with them. The liklihood is that the priest with HS would eventually outlevel the priest with SR, in my opinion.
over the time it woudl take for the SR priest to outlevel the priest with HS, the priest with HS would've putten a lot of points into SR, so then they could switch roles lmao so they would stay teh same levelz i think, but would have to trade off roles....which is kinda retarted LOL
I got about 20% at level 9x and about 15% at 10x and 11x. That's from memory - my priest/bishop doesn't exist any more. But it's really easy to learn! The side-to-side method is actually alright at higher levels if you are lagging, or if you want to have safe training. The mobbing method requires a lot of skill and if you lag just a little and you are mgless, you will die. A lot of priests (mostly the bandwagonners of bishop) like to party since it's easier. Even more like to leech!
The himes are the monster in the video (o.o) and they are called that because that was the original name in earlier versions of MS. In GMS they are Dreamy Ghosts.
The telecasting is safer but slower, and you do less damage because you are actually casting sr less often then the other method and healing in between as well.
in order to simply survive himes, a wisdom staff or emergency tube, with a big headband should be more than sufficient by level 80. in order to solo, you're going to need to do significant damage, and it is not worth it until at least level 9x, when you start to max sr and your heal does more than 500, not to mention you do have to hit them 100% or its not worth it.
I see, in that case you should probably use the hp pots that you find, unless you have an insane amount of mp and the elixers you find will gain you more profit then using those ...
Very nice video. However, instead of using Magic Guard when you cast Holy Symbol, it may be beneficial simply to use one of the ramens Himes drop (1500 HP) while you are casting HS. No mana is lost due to MG, and the pots are completely free.
I would prefer to use MG and have perfect safety. Also I use hardly any mp and leech it back almost immediately. So it's free instead of costing the 700 mesos every time one drops, and I spend no mesos on training.
@Skratovarius
hmm is Himes still a good place to train after the big bang patch?
am lv 104 (regular) priest and i have like 2k-ish hp and tons of mana.

I agree with you that soloing himes starts a lot earlier now - leeching is not as good, and damage is a huge amount higher.

Wow thanks, this helps. What do you think is the lowest level of sr required to solo effectively?

That's in the video description, but I think it is about 20. You can do it if you have good equips with less then that.
