First off breaking a TV set is an exhilarating experience, much more memorable than the things you watch on one. Second, just being a part of something/ making money off of something (especially as multi-faceted as tv programming) doesn't mean you condone/ enjoy every aspect of it.

There are some interesting things out there in the TV world, and partaking in certain aspects (like designing a TV set) doesn't mean you agree with the deception of gigantic corporations, or enjoy wasting 25 hours a week sitting on your butt getting lazier and loosing and bit of creativity/ originality you might have retained from your days as kid glued to the boob tube.
One day this country will break free from the grip that television programming has held since the days when 1 set per household became the norm. What would you do for the next two weeks if your cable went out? How many minutes of commercials would you be spared from? How much money would you save in the next 6 months if you stopped paying ever-increasing cable bills? What would you do with that money, maybe treat yourself to something that actually entertains you, or probably lots of things!

@TheBroodingTom It is called "Aqua Regia" and is a 1:3 mixture of nitric and hydrocholic acid. Both of those chemicals are cheap and easy to acquire.
