@meganinjapillow I think it was more of the fact that they wanted to keep the very end a secret or something for the people who hadn't seen it yet. I don't know when this originally aired but they didn't seem to want to say anything about the very ending of Part 1.

@iTzxZac She's wanted to cut it for a while and couldn't 'cause of the films. I think it was also a way for her to sort of let go of Hermione and have people not see her so much as Hermione anymore. I know when I look at her now, I still see Hermione, but not as much as I did before.

any1 ever stop to think that maybe the dance scene was just harry trying to cheer hermione up and take her mind off everything ? ...as a best friend or brother would do ?... all those ppl who think it was added to create a little romance ... are desperate to see hermione and harry get together ...which never happened and never looked like it would happen..face it ..its just a harmless dance to try create a good atmosphere again...because when ron leaves, its breaks them both, especially hermione

@superbar93 i know! i completely agree with you! even in the book, exactly after the horcrux is destroyed and Ron comes back, and harry found out (when the locket was opened) that Ron really loves Hermione and his fear is the she would want to choose harry over him, Harry tells Ron that Hermione cried for weeks after he left, and it really hurt and broke her when Ron left them

Dancing scene... just unnecessary. I would even say awkward.

@aluapsiaht I thought added something. True, it was awkward and uncomfotable, but it showed a certain vulnerabity and longing for closeness between two young people alone in the world. Also it made the two characters a bit more realistic (if you were 17 years old and your best friend looked like Dan or Emma, wouldn't you be tempted?) Also, it made Ron look less like a git; His horcrux induced paranioa over Harry and Hermione not to be *completey* unfounded.

@cibomatto47 I actually thought the dancing scene was just silly and humorous..Much like when Yoda used a lightsaber for the very 1st time in attack of the clones.I know the dancing scene was Emma's favorite or one of her more favorite parts to do,but honestly,the whole thater was laughing at them and it was just ridiclous and so not Harry potter....And i am a huge fan of Emma watson but the scene could have done without.Sorry.

@lopido Completely agree, especially in this film, Harry and Hermione looks 100x more realistic than what Ron and Hermione would. Not just in the dancing scene but also in the graveyard and in other scenes. They're definitely work better screen wise.
