  • Ive worked out of reg cab 4x2 Ford Rangers before, I put about 15k miles on my personal '89 S-10 extended cab 4x4

I think a first generation S10 w/ a 4.3 and 4x4 is the perfect smaller truck hands down. The Ford ranger of the last 10 years or so is good also but the tacoma - if nothing else - has a more ergonomic cab than either. I hate toyota cars for a number of reasons but this is a very liveable truck. However ive never seen one in person that was used for 200k miles or more like the Ranger

  • I wish they brought that into Australia

  • I recently rented a 2011 toyota tacoma 4x4 4.0 v6 and didnt want to give it back.

enough get up and go around town and 4wheeled pretty well..went up everything i could find easily.. too bad i cant afford one at 10 dollars and hour..great truck and i wish i had one...imao

  • Forgot to mention has best resale value...05 still go for 23k

  • 130k on my 05 trd ofroad. 3rd set of spark plugs, put brakes on it at 80k. It runs just like it did the day I bought it.

  • i did that with mine, drove it through a river creek that flooded when raining in new mexico, got stuck in 2 wheel drive but switch to 4 wheel drive and pull me out of the water like cutting butter with a hot knife :-) only con small bed cargo space, poor snow handiing may needed snow tires overall A-

  • I have the 06 double cab TRD with 97,000 and I love it! never had any problems (other then people who cant park in DC) it corners great though the windy mountain roads in VA good power and towing. so glad i choose this over the ranger

  • MotorWeek perdicted that correctly. Since 2005 the Tacoma has been the best selling small truck!! I Love it, and that red TRD one in this vid looks SWEET!!!

  • Last longer than my hard ons!!

  • hands down the best trucks best all around,

  • omg i didnt know there were holes for the headrests in the back when you fold down the seats! lol, i got the 06 double cab sport! loving it!\

its got 125k km on it and it runs strong!

  • @monsoon56 oops me too! x-(

  • @monsoon56 Dang bro, 125k miles ? You drive a lot. Since your post was 6 months ago, that number is closer to 150k I'm sure; but that's alright, they do run for a LONG TIME. I have a black double cab 2006 sport, 2WD with 65,000 miles. Great trucks... I LOVE mine ! It has never given me any problems. I'll be buying another one in a few years. I've considered the Tundra, but I just like the smaller size & maneuverability of the Tacoma.

  • A crew cab v6 tacoma is the truck I want so much I hope I can get one soon in the 2005 model

  • gotta love tacomas =) but the problem is, if you own one MAKE SURE YOU RUST PROOF IT! because toyota does a shitty job of this from factory, if you dont rust proof your frame right away, then expect your frame to go bye bye

  • it shouldn't be considered a compact class anymore. it's midsize. in the past, access cab seats were ridiculously small. it's better now with more room but double cab is definitely worth it for full size adults for long trips. v6 tend to be too noisy and not as smooth and quiet as Tundra v8. but better gas mileage than the Tundra. for reliability, Toyota trucks might be more reliable than Toyota cars. they tend to last longer I think.

  • I've got an 05 and the only problem so far is the front mud flaps. They both cracked while driving on the highway and flapped in the wind. The dealership wants 100 bucks a piece for replacements. Happen to anyone else?

  • they should'nt've lowered stock ground clearance

  • 111K miles on my 05 and its strong as ever...Love it!!

  • do you have rust problem ?

  • I climber under there while changing oil and I have zero rust. I park near the beach on a regular basis with out any rust issues as of yet. Love my Taco!!

  • I love YOU!

  • @brew62 You sound like one of many people who love their Toyotas. I'm glad you love it.

  • any problems up to that point???? i own one but im at 45000 kilometers and im curious.

  • @brew62 111K on my 93 4Runner... Still thumping strong

  • Thats a nice looking truck and they last for EVER.

  • 5:01 thats sickkk

  • Oh shit more hp than the current! WTF!
