Known the fipple trick after he posted this, but before I watched this.
Works best with Tenor Horn Ocarina, I believe you can get down to Low F in that case (and maybe lower, but it'll be really quiet).
Stinks with the Double Ocarina, Low G# and that's about it. But on the Double Ocarina, by pressing on the Vent Hole and Blowing Hard, you can make it up to High D# and D (they sound kind of loud though) so it's a trade off, good for soprano ocarina, Idk, I don't have one yet.
I'm starting to think in the US, it would be considered a Tenor, but for the rest of world, it'a an Alto C, or AC. I guess it's kinda like Soccer and "Futbol", lol.

No, He was probably one of the first to draw attention to it, but he didn't invent it. There were obviously people before him that do it, you just don't see examples of it on Youtube. I figured it out on my own, and docjazz did, so other people must have figured it out as well.
I think the lip trick works on most ocarinas -- at least the ones without a protruding mouthpiece. I used to use it all the time on my Peruvian, and it was a lifesaver. That was the only way I could play certain songs.
Wow docjazz. Your singing voice is beautiful. And ocarina sounds wonderful as always. I would really, really like it if you made a video of you singing with your ocarina or piano. That would be amasing.

Yeah. Good comparision. I have a 12-hole tenor (stlocarina), because I wanted to get a Zelda ocarina, but it sounds good.

Well slightly different, but if you put the ocarina further into your mouth, you can bend the lowest pitch to low A
