That deer had a Parasitic twin and died about 5 weeks after the video.They did not have a Qualified Dr or Vet who would be able to do the Surgery.A surgery separation of a Parasitic twin is very difficult to do usually has to be done bya medical Surgeon,because not many Veterinarian Surgeons are have the training or experience of Gastrointestinal separation on other then Fish.And the odds to survive r so slim that they won't hardly ever bother to do surgery on Animals.

Just my guess but, I doubt it's documented how to remove extra appendages from a deer so the procedure would probably be trial and error with little to no room for error. The other thing is that his extra legs are growing out of working rear legs. I don't think there's a way they could do this while making sure his remaining legs all work properly and without causing severe nerve and muscular damage. The poor guy would probably be left with a lower quality of life if not dead.

@shadowfangirl4life sometimes that can do more harm than good. it could compromise the bones, ligaments, muscles, and nerves of the functional legs or damage the spinal chord. also if the mutation has altered the development of the functional legs (i couldnt tell whether the limp was due to that or to the injury) then the damage has already been done and taking off the non-functional legs would not help the deer at all. if it isnt of benefit to the deer then it is not worth the surgery
