@dave212kill Actually, Dave, most of the expansions are stand alone games. You can't mix them in with the original, so the different backings of the cards would not come into play.
However, the "sequels/expansions" that are called Munchkin 2 and Munchkin 3 can be added to your base game, and I believe they do share the same backing.
