Hey. Great post. This is one of the first songs I ever learned and I have been learning it for close to twenty years. I would bring attention to the fingering in the intro of this video is the best choice. We should not use our pinky finer in the intro at all. fingering the root and the 5 with index and middle and using the ring to hit the octave (d) and the 4(G) and the 3(F#). and continue to use this fingering throughout the intro.

Tbh, the intro is a lot easier when you bar your index finger on the 12th fret. From that starting point it is way easier because you only have to use your middlefinger and ringfinger.
