Your missing the point she starts out angry but when she starts to sing about her past, present, and future it turns to longing, sadness, and disgust but if you can't see that I guess it can't be helped because I think she understood that and was trying to get those emotions.

i was cast as aida in our school's production. i loove watching genevieve's expressions. they're helping my character development a lot :)

don't take other peoples versions of Aida to heart, let her character be your own. Thats the first thing you will learn when you start doing this for real. You have to trust your own instincs and no one elses, besides your directors.

i know - i just kind of took some ideas from her that made a lot of sense. when i'd never even heard of aida, it helped to watch these and figure all the internal conflicts out.
