Such an EXPLOSION of good music during that time.

I have been trying for over a decade to find a 90's song where the lyrics had the singer shrieking a chorus of "I'M DOING FINE!" in a phone call to her Dad. The song alludes to her being a runaway calling her Dad.

I used to listen to it on "The Edge" in New Mexico when I was stationed there from 1991-1996

We in the dutch part of Belgium think we are living in New York. We act like it speak like it eat like it drink like it watch the same shows and movies and our political vision is that of the USE (United states of Europe). The cost of living is a bit less here though :D

The one major difference is our left wing approach. Let's say New york is closer to us than Texas :D

when flemish people speak english we tend to lean towards the american accent, it's much easier to pronounce and more laid back than british accents.

Yeah, I've noticed that the Scandinavians have an American accent when speaking English. I guess they get heavily influenced by Hollywood movies and tv shows.

Since when is Belgium in Scandinavia? Belgium is right across the channel from the UK (you know, "England"... where the English language comes from), and the American accent(s) came into existence by (mostly Germanic) foreigners speaking English, so it's kind of natural that someone from the part of Europe where Germanic languages (Flemish/Dutch, German, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish) are spoken have a similar way of speaking than Americans.
