I was horrified when I saw the cop jump on his back when the poor guy was in the midst of dying! How can he live with himself when he watches that video???
I can't believe what they did to him! We watched him die on tv that night. Disgusting! This young man who sent his video to the media is a hero. So courageous and right! It's still as outrageous as it was a year ago when it happened. The inquiry has burned the RCMP who did that terrible deed. You did an amazing job on this song. Love it!
@krystyna9372 Cops do stupid shit all the time and get away with it, to blame a whole country for the actions of four or five police officers makes your comment moronic and written without rational thinking.

Ohydny, tani sentymentalizm. "Biedny polaczek, co to go zabili źli kanadyjczycy na progu lepszego życia." Proponuję abyście wszyscy przypomnieli sobie nagrania z tamtego dnia. Ja nie widzę biednego polaczka, ale wielkiego, dyszącego niedźwiedzia, który grozi, że "porozpierdala szyby", łazi z podniesionym krzesłem i ni słowa nie kmini po angielsku.

This is the most nonsensical song about a blonde girl who is scared she might somehow end up homeless? and a victim of police brutality? the guy was waiting for his mother in the airport! HUH. Song sucks and so did the supposed essay that led me here from the province, this is good comedy
This Krych is a perfect example of communist idiot! Why is he smiling? Isn't that because he is untouchable? How you represent Poland? Shame on you for Robert's death and his mother suffering. You'll go to hell!
Tragic he died but if the cops wanted to kill him they would have used a gun. Cops were wimps not murderers. He was chucking furniture & said he was going to trash the place. Many have blame in this; including him & his Mother who now blames everyone else but won't accept any responsibility for her or her son's actions. If it were my son, I sure as hell wouldn't have given up & left, (knowing his plane HAD landed) In any other country you'd be dead from the cops before your knees buckled
Kurde.. R.I.P
Polices on all country - Sucks!!
This is bad system - Dranie...
I can not belive what kind of people looking after our safety in places like airports etc. You never know when You going to be another Dziekanski and when You gonna get treated as a tester for this sort of thing. RIP Mr Dziekanski
I am a Canadian from Richmond, I was Born in Italy and precisely in Naples where body language and jesticulation is a way of life. I have watched the video and I HAVE interpreted all of his motions, din't need words to understand what he was saying. When he was asked for documents he tried to reach for them, than we hear a distinctive NO! he stands up and he pushes his shoulders back and opens his hands forward, that is to say in motions: NO PROBLEMS. try doing it and you will see, MURDERERS.
If you're going to write a song in memory of a guy, you should really work on your lyrical content before posting it up for all to see. I guess this fella wasn't worth a little more of your time or effort...Too bad really, because the voice is really nice, but the song really sucks.
This is disgusting. It's a terribly written song to be honest. Make a quick buck off of hating the police.
Something I wanted to know is where was his mother? Why did she leave? Why aren't the employees of that area of the airport condemned along with police? They did just as much to cause this chain of events, or rather they didn't do anything. The guy that filmed it is a terrible person, since he obviously was too afraid to try and help at all, and just stood there with is camera.
Being in Canada you guys don't seem to realize what it means not to speak the language. U can't begin to understand what it feels like and how stressful a situations as such can be. There was no need to resort to such extreme measures, otherwise every other Englishman here in Poland would have to be shot while being drunk in public. They seem to be very offended that Polish cops do not speak English. Cops should have more brains than that.
You're right....being held up at the airport all day and not speaking english is a good reason to throw around chairs and computers, and expect the police to clear him through customs. Perhaps give him a ride to Kamloops too. If nothing changed from this incident, except his death, then we wouldn't be having this discussion. He would be in jail or sent back to his home country. You seem to have it all figured out. Perhaps you can enlighten us and tell us what the police should have done.
Clearly you'd have to have been living under a rock to come to an airport and act the way this guy did. Not so much to emphasize on post 9-11, but to see an idiot trashing the airport and nervously sweating would might suggest he could be the next suicide bomber. After reading this guy's past life history, charged with armed robbery, gve me a break, he was no model citizen. At least in Canada, he was given a chance by being subdued by a taser.
It was the first time he had ever flown. And anyone post 9-11 would know that he had already been through the most stringent security and couldn't possibly be armed. Not to mention that people don't blow themselves up after landing when they're alone in a waiting area! The police overreacted, plain and simple. If they hadn't done wrong they wouldn't have felt it necessary to lie about what happened at every opportunity, as we now know.
Easy to judge after the fact. He was causing a disturbance at the airport. When you do that, you get arrested. Plain and simple. He was not cooperative and force was used.
Boy there's a lot of ignorant people out there that seem to think evil will not infiltrate the system! Plain and simple, there's a lot of lives at stake and an idiot thrashing about, & sweating profusely is a bad sign at an airport!
Evil? Sheesh. The guy was just upset. He was not out to hurt anyone. He was all alone in a secure area with no one around, and was not exiting because he thought he wasn't allowed to leave yet. The police never took the time to find out what he was doing. They just killed him within seconds of arriving. That's ignorance.
They used non-lethal force. Tasers are designed to stop, not kill. They use guns to kill. How does anyone really know what was going through his mind at the time of the incident? How do you know what he was trying to accomplish? He was acting irrational and couldn't speak english. Anything you say about his feelings or intentions are mere speculation. This guy wasn't cooperative at all.
Tasers are "less lethal" not "non lethal." Because of this incident the RCMP changed its policy on tasers to limit their use to cases where a person is being combative, not just resistant or uncooperative. They know they screwed up.
No, they didn't know what was going through his mind because they didn't stop to ask. That's just bad policing.
Hard to cooperate when you don't know the language. His last words have been translated. He was relieved to see them and asked when he would be cleared through immigration. When they pulled the Taser he said "Have you lost your mind?" He was trying to have a rational conversation and they just killed him.
I suggest that you review the Airport video again. Why is a man wandering around by himself, breathing heavy, and moving around furniture at customs? Why did someone videotape it? He was breaking the law! The police were called to arrest him, which they did. Tasers are a means of non-lethal force. If they wanted to kill him, they guns. Kendel Carson is quick to criticize, but she has no idea what it's like to walk a day in their shoes. Link with homelessness? A prime example of rhetoric.
Hmmm...causing a disturbance? Ever wonder why this was being videotaped long before the police arrived? Why the police were even called? The answer is simple. There was a guy acting irrational, moving furniture, and obviously upset based on his breathing. Behavior like that is illegal in airports. Why else would a regular citizen decide to videotape it?
Causing a disturbance is not a reason to kill someone, especially when they are all alone in a secure area. If the cops had used their brains for a few seconds before pulling the trigger they could have solved the whole thing without laying a finger on the guy.
So you believe that they wanted to kill him? That was their plan from the get-go? Perhaps they should have went in, held his hand, gave him some ice cream, and asked him his opinion on Geico car insurance.
Yes they wanted to kill him, that's why the murderer was overheard saying he was going to taser the victim before they even went in the door. Are you RCMP, or just a heartless asshole?
5 zaps of the tazer with three or four officers standing by, what are they, a bunch of sissies! Oh wait, he was waiving a stapler. Give me a break, they plain and simple murdered the poor guy when all they had to do was calm him down and find a damn translator, what a bloody embarassment the RCMP have become. They are now trying to lie their way out of this error in judgement rather than suffer the consequences of their actions. Isn't that called perjory?
