I was a still a small 8-yr-old boy at that time, living in fine, tranquil neighbourhood of Kensel Rise in London, UK. Still can remember the flamboyant, yet phrase-catchy King Jaffe Joffer departing from the Waldorf-Astoria in that black Merc. motorcade.
