A friend of mine who was there said that when the door flew off the EVO it triggered the sensor for the other lane and thats why it appears that eclipse ran that time.

Not to bag on the new evo X but i dont think i will ever get here, The 4g63 is a cast iron block and can handle more of the pressure of running 1130 AWHP, I think the 4b11 is going to blow up because its all aluminum. You never know it might but i am just saying from recent block that have been cast iron vs. aluminum the cast iron lastest long under extreme pressure like the AMS 4g63 does.

Evolutions are not built off the lancer chasis, it is an entirely different chassis constructed from start to finish in a different factory specifically for Evolutions, the factory closed after the last few IX's were built, whether it has re-opened for the X's or not I'm not sure of. So please, do not call it a lancer, and don't say it's just a modified lancer, and if you honestly think you could put an Evo's 4g63t in a fwd lancer with out MAJOR modifications than you need to hang yourself.
old lancers shared the same bodies. of course not the USDM ones, since they were called mirages. just thought you should clear that up for the other people. now the new lancer and evolution 10 share the same chassis.
well dsms are actually called that because the were made in the dsm plant in illinois. My 95 eclipse gsx was made in that plant because it has the dsm stick on the door. not all dsms were made at that plant. so dsms are truely dsms if they were made at that plant. but we dsmers consider any mitsu,eagle,plymouth that has a 4g63, 420a, or the 1.8 nt motor dsms that were made between 89 and 99

The black car in the other lane lays down so much smoke at the start line as you can see in the video that the timer at the launch doesnt start till the smoke clears even though the car had already left the line long before then.
I guess you could say its a timer malfunction due to the smoke not allowing the beems to break.
The ams evo doesn't run nitrous! The black dsm eclipse is running nitrous. They are also alot lighter than the evo.That is the only reason the dsm eclipse's always win the dsm shootout.

Evolutions are not built off the lancer chasis, it is an entirely different chassis constructed from start to finish in a different factory specifically for Evolutions, the factory closed after the last few IX's were built, whether it has re-opened for the X's or not I'm not sure of. So please, do not call it a lancer, and don't say it's just a modified lancer, and if you honestly think you could put an Evo's 4g63t in a fwd lancer with out MAJOR modifications than you need to hang yourself.

well dsms are actually called that because the were made in the dsm plant in illinois. My 95 eclipse gsx was made in that plant because it has the dsm stick on the door. not all dsms were made at that plant. so dsms are truely dsms if they were made at that plant. but we dsmers consider any mitsu,eagle,plymouth that has a 4g63, 420a, or the 1.8 nt motor dsms that were made between 89 and 99

Sigh, I've owned several gs-t and gsx eclipses myself not just done the research. "DSM" has been stuck with the 4G63 motor for quite a while now. But if you want to get REALLY technical "DSMs" stopped being called DSMs in 1995 when the company name was switched to "Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of America" or "MMMA". Then in 2002 was renamed Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc, or "(MMNA)" But yet we all still call them "DSM's" because it's a known label. So now who's the jackass?

The black car in the other lane lays down so much smoke at the start line as you can see in the video that the timer at the launch doesnt start till the smoke clears even though the car had already left the line long before then.
I guess you could say its a timer malfunction due to the smoke not allowing the beems to break.

The ams evo doesn't run nitrous! The black dsm eclipse is running nitrous. They are also alot lighter than the evo.That is the only reason the dsm eclipse's always win the dsm shootout.
