  • This song kicks ass. How did it get so forgotten? Chris soulfully belts out heartfelt lyrics in perfect harmony to the catchy see-saw guitar riff. I can't help but rock back-and-forth singing along letting his emotion become mine. One of the greatest "white soul" songs ever.

  • Anyway, this is one of the best songs I have ever had the pleasure to hear, and also one of the best bands I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. - They remind me a bit of CCR, actually, only I like their style better. :)

  • A little less alcohol would have saved me 4 lines. lol - please forgive, sorry.

  • You can lead a horse to water.

  • She loves to make me the bad-guy. - Why?

  • Oh, I wish I had a nickel, for every miracle you easily tricked me into.

  • And then there is the reason I am listening to this song.

  • um, sp, insert cost in my last.

  • In her case, I fear there is no drug. - Just a calculated decision to not be what you want, at any cot.

  • <3

  • thegoodteacher(dot)com

  • great song, the little sister of "since ive been loving you"

  • I FEEL THIS WAY .....

  • This is an UNDENIABLY GREAT song.

  • I put this video in a much better video and audio quality in my channel, It's dvd quality upscaled to 720p .

  • @Viniciustlc

thank you!!!! I love this song and video!! :D

  • @fatherfackerr I'm glad to help!

  • The comparison should probably be with the Faces, another fantastic, classic rock and roll band. The Black Crowes took their cues and made some of the best rock albums ever. This one in particular was an amazing album, I agree with all of you. Anyone appreciate Amorica as well?

  • looking for oxycodones? the hollywood years?

  • chris robinson, one of the hottest rock stars, at least to me he is, all man.

  • The Black Crowes NEVER got the avalanche of accolades they so abundantly deserved. Instead, we got excessive radio 'over-play' from bands like Counting Crows (...alright), Matchbox 20 (Double bogey at best), Wallflowers (...alright)... Anyway, The Black Crowes belong on a bus sitting beside Led Zeppelin, The Stones, Doors, Jimi, and who the hell knows how many others...They are one undeniably of the best TRUE rock bands of my 'time' (I'm 36, BTW). Anyway, that's just what I think.

  • @MsDizzyMissLizzy

Name some good Rock N' Roll bands out today?

Im NOT issuing a challenge. I really want to know. Since record stores went out of business I find it difficult to find new or little known bands. I know the vastness of the Internet is at my disposal, but that same vastness has decreased my attention span. Unless Im focused in on one thing I tend to run through webpages like a coked up chicken.

  • Is that Sophia Coppolla?

  • @Octosemi Oh..probably.

  • @Octosemi Yes it is

  • nossa do hora!

  • You are like way too cool!

  • My favorite Crowes song. Simply brilliant! I have no argument for those who don't like this band...only pity!

  • @missjenibee saw them in Calgary in 94...my band plays this song

  • Chris isnt singing on this, he is preaching.Seeing them on Monday in Manchester and i cant wait.

One of the best ,true rock n roll bands to ever walk the earth and it has been an honour to have been the right age to enjoy the ride.

Heckle n Jeckle may still crow again ....who knows??

  • @GrantStoke Im there to fella !!!! bring it on. Two hour electric set !!! oh yes !!!

  • @GrantStoke how did you enjoy Manchester show? I thought they were incredible. One of my favourite gigs ever

  • @poundtumbles

Agree,Chris's voice was incredible-the best ive heard in a long while and Luther was on fire.I thougth the set list was brilliant (with that much material someone is always going to be dissapointed)

They are certainly bowing out at the top of their game and this gig will always stick in my mind for all the right reasons.

  • Great song of one of my favoritest albums EVER!

  • Why are all the Black Crowes song in 240p, makes me sad. :(

  • such a powerful tune

  • Love the Crowes, saw them backing up Robert Plant in 1990 and followed them ever since. They have so much good material over the course of their career, and there must be something there for the Jimster to play with them. But you want to torture me in hell, play some Nickleback!

  • looks like sofia had a hard time coping with the flak from Part 3!

  • Oh yeah!! I'm trying to find you.

  • AWESOME

  • the black crowes were the first concert i ever went to. :)

  • @Ddubya77 I totally agree, except that part of Nickelback. Forget Far Away and If Everyone Cared and hear Burn It To The Ground and SEX. They are closer to Mettallica than the actual Crowes

  • I really love This song (:

  • Love this tune and most of their music, what I get from this song is a message of never ever giving up hope cause sometimes when things are at their darkest point it all turns around for the better. - It reminds me of my former lifestyle and a lot of my friends former lives as well. I am surprised that I lived thru it all.

  • Fantastic.

  • This song got me through a lot of hard times and broken relationships in my late teen's and early 20's. Love it!

  • Thank u for posting. Woooow that takes me back to teen years

  • Isn't that Special :)

  • Great album..

  • This song is probably the last truly convincing rock track of the last millenium. It's so passionate that it never fails to make me tear up on every listen.

  • This video was just added to a music playlist at JustPlay.fm

  • Thanks,thanks !!

  • Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo soulful.

  • Greats from Brazil thanks for the upload !!!!

  • This is how you define a perfect song

  • Cool! My fave Crowes song. Why did I not know they had a vid of it? Because I don't watch TV much maybe?

  • is that sofia coppola?

  • @Malagax yep

  • makes the hair on my body stand up!!! incredible!! the crows r the greatest band............ever!!!

  • I am going to save Rock and Roll. This isnt spamming. Im saving Rock. Check out our channel. If you dont like what were doing you hate Rock and Roll. Im lead guitar and my brother is on vocals. We grew up about 20 min away from the Robinsons. We are fans of 60's and 70's Rock and Roll. One listen is all I ask. One listen and you will hear the salvation of modern Rock and Roll. Im calling out to Crowes fans. We are right up your alley. One listen and you will be blown away

  • @DoublePlow In response to DOUBLE PLOW: These guys rock. Just good ol' fashioned balls out rock n' roll. Check out "River Woman" and "Black Bottom". It's worth a couple little mouse clicks, then put on your headphones and crank it up to 11!!!

  • A favorite tune of mine .. I own the LP , the Cd and the MP3....I still watch it on Utube...The Black Crowes Rock

  • out...f'in...standing. saw this one live a few years ago- standing in the front row 10 feet from the guys. a religious experience- even for this agnostic.

  • Now this is real music! Fuck Bieber fuck Gaga! :D

  • is that sophia coppolla in the video??? looks alot like her.

  • @gummy4201 You are very observant. That is Sophia Coppola.

  • one of the best bands that never got what they deserved, if you got to see them live, it was awesome.

    total Chronics,

they sold their own rolling papers at concerts, still have a couple, somewhere.

  • which album is this from?

  • @iluvroknrol93 The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion

  • I would often wonder how Chris could sing after this number, I played this Cd so much I burned a hole in it, much like the intensity and passion CR and the band have put into there music since day 1.

  • hey Ddubya...wha the ??? Ugly? whose úgly in your perception? I hopey you aint referring to lead singer Chris???? cuz I'm sure even actress Kate Hudson will still agree....Chris Robinson's got beautiful green eyes!!!!!

  • hey Ddubya...wha the ??? Ugly? whose úgly in your perception? I hopey you aint referring to lead singer Chris???? cuz I'm sure even actress Kate Hudson will still agree....Chris Robinson's got beautiful green eyes!!!!! and the eyes reflect ones Soul ! know wha I MEAN ? and uh...comparing the crowes to Led Zeppelin??? in what way? No...this is pure American ....Smoking....spicy music!

  • @MsAnnestube I think the comparison to Zep is a valid one. Especially when you consider how much Zeppelin borrowed from American bluesmasters like Muddy Waters, Ledbelly, Holland Dozier and Holland and many others. Especially on on albums 1-3. These albums are full of Mississippi Delta blues standards redone with Zeppelins powerful rearrangements.

  • Hoping to see them the 4th Love this song, Great song writer... Keep up the good work

  • the only song they ever did worth a shit. awesome, fuckin awesome song.

  • @gutterghoul78

have you lost your mind? This entire album is classic. Crowes have over so many great songs. They don't even play this one much anyone although they should

  • @dmack420 this entire album IS a classic. the only album worth a shit. Remedy, Thorn on my pride, No Speak No Slave, My Morning Song. fuckin masterpiece. why the rest of the albums aren't as good or are just plain bad, i'll never know. Southern Harmony and Musical Companion is the tits of black crows.

  • @gutterghoul78 Although it IS your opinion, dear Lord boy you must be retarded. Have you ever listened to ANY other songs of theirs? Silence is much better than ignorance, try it.

  • Wow, the Black Crowes always bored me to tears. Let's see, L. A. junkie scene, um...what would be Exile on Main Street, Alex?

  • 23 guys dislike

  • @toddy1425 so fuckin' what?

  • The lead singer reminds me of John Lennon.

  • this song is sooo good seen the crowes like 5 times they always put on an unreal show

  • Great tune! You guys should check out Chris and Rich's Cousin Layden Robinson. Not as much Rock Blues, but still very cool! :)

  • can't wait to see these dudes in a couPle week's in N Y C !!!!!!! =))

  • I'm not a huge BC fan but, this is a great effin' song...

  • So goooooood!!

  • Love this song!

  • don t do hard drugs or elis lol

  • This is my favorite Black Crows song. " So don't chu surrender cause sometimes salvations in the eye of the storm." truer words were never spoken.

  • SISTA DO YA EVEN WANNA...TRY AND FIND ME. SISTA...DO YA EVEN WANNA TRY AND FIND ...............ME. I saw them in concert this summer in Little Rock, Ar. I swear I didn't see really anyone else there that was gettin' into the music as much as I was....and it was a pretty damn good performance. what is wrong man? Although I did smell someone gettin' high....I was right in the like 7th row. It was outdoors in June...I'll remember it as long as I live.

  • This song and video nearly bring tears to my eyes. Absolutely freakin' incredible. Saw these guys a couple nights ago - 3 1/2 hours of soul power.

  • @cbob7 did you see them in Nashville? I saw them at the Ryman, what an incredible performance! First time seeing them, and I would definitely go again!

  • @dyingfetusiscool

Sure did, man. I'd never seen them either. Met Adam MacDougall, the keyboardist, at Tootsie's after the show. Wish they had done this tune!

  • Just amazing

  • best acting of sophia coppolas career

  • How could 23 ASS CLOWNS not like this absolute MASTERPIECE of a song??? I'm not sure I'd ever seen the video before, but wow, what an intense, fantastic tune........

  • @RVDIII

you moron , shit taylor swfit , pretty enough for a good night in her panties but , c'mon.. that shit music she is singing I heard it million times before. but this song from crows really rocks! it is the first time when I am listening them , but this is a fuckin relevation to me.

so.. back off.Ah sorry , you are that Justin biever shit fan too?

  • @RVDIII

    dumb c#nt.

  • @RVDIII hahahahahahahha its cool, you don't get it. But do you think taylor swift will still be around with a loyal fanbase in 20 years?

  • @RVDIII You are really ignorant. Chris's voice is amazing one of the best. He does not scream, he has a set of pipes that Taylor Swift could never touch, and he can deliver a solo with only an acoustic guitar as back up. Comparing the two of them is a joke. She isn't even a real musician, she appeals to puberty striken teens and her songs have no depth, which maybe is why you like her. He was playing music and singing before Taylor Swift was even born and defiantly isn't riding on anyones back.

  • @xxBrittC Where Jeff Cease He was your best guitars for Black Crowes ever had! Now, The Black Crowes just suck ass like Fags. Your best LP was with Jeff, now all your other LP just suck ass, Like Chris, and his brother dose! Jeff help you sound and look good. Bring Jeff Cease back! The Brothers always suck ass. But, if you bring Jeff back It might help them

  • @xxBrittC damn dude you just don't her.

    Word.

  • @xxBrittC amen yuou are right and as great as his voice is back then it is 1000 times better now

  • @RVDIII hahahahahahahahaha taylor swift is dull and boring and you barely know anything about chris robinson. washed up? the crowes just made a new album that was great. so fuck you twat monkey

  • Everyone says that music, r&r specifically, has died... The Crowes are truly a band with depth, talent, and lyrically similar to the rock of the 60's and 70's... I see the Crowes as the Led Zepplin of my era...I saw them for the first time when they were opening for Metallica,& G&R around 91' or so.. See what ugly musicians put out compared to pussy bands like Nickelback...Bring back ugly musicians!!!

  • @Ddubya77 video killed the radio star

  • @bigpoppa4x4 that's exactly right..... The unfortunate part of your comment is I've been singing that damn song in my head now for the last half hour :)

  • @Ddubya77 AMEN

  • @Ddubya77 I think they're beautiful! And this is coming from a perfectly straight guy!

  • @Ddubya77 I agree with what you are saying, and I am not a fan of Nickleback, and the like, but I thought it was funny that you mentioned Nickleback. The singer was voted the ugliest man in the music industry just a few years back.

  • @erk13z You're right.... Nickelback singer is ugly as sin (whatever his name is), but their music is the epitomy of crap rock. It's cheesy, and has absolutely no heart and soul. It's manufactured. I guess that is why I used them as an example.

  • @Ddubya77 Yep I agree. Just thought it was funny.

  • @Ddubya77 You mean the deeply attractive!

  • Es Soffia Coppola la chica del video?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheErdosain si

  • @TheErdosain Si es Sofia Coppola...

  • @rexrocker123 yep

  • I don't know why exactly, but I cry everytime I hear this song. I am looking forward to seeing you five, maybe six times in the next couple of months. I hope you play this song for me. It is killing me that I will be without seeing the Crowes live for an indefinite period of time. Please tell me you will be back to feed my soul. I always have said, if I knew when I was going to die, I would be at a Crowes show in my last hours, I would then be at peace.

  • That's tapping into the rock mainline right there

  • gaghghghghgh... i give up songwriting

  • Favorite Crowes tune!

  • What a song!!!!!!!! Great band :-}

  • A prescription of American strength rock at its most purest.

Ingest with neat liquor. Offer ashtray under chin to avoid loosepack.

Humble Pie... whoo-oo stone cold fever...

  • Incredible...one of the most powerful and haunting songs ever. I could watch this video 1000 times.

  • I watched this late one night in late 1990 or early '91 on MTV and was floored. The guitar work got me. Guess the whole tune did, really... Cool seeing it again here. Haven't heard it since. Anyhow, agree with you on that----Super Powerful tune.... Why hasn't everyone heard it?!!! Maybe they have---- Take care of you----

P.S.:: No they haven't! If so, more people would be smiling.... Crying...... Or just better off........ Period.

  • Hello and thanks to you who posted this to begin with.

  • quality blues enough said

  • Chris Robinson. One of the best voices in rock. Ever.

  • Does anybody know how Rich makes that garbled sound at 3:23?

  • @dlong6184

maybe he slides his pick on strings like a slide? idk

  • @dlong6184 Well first off, that is not Rich Playing the solo man, that is Marc Fuckin Ford. And he kinda just mutes the notes and slides at the same time, he's got a good buzz setting too, so try that. Its a feel thing. Oh and Marc Ford is "The Man".

  • @skynyrdrocksss Hell yeah bro. When Marc left this band it was never the same. Southern Harmony is one of the top 10 albums of the 90s. Hands down. And yeah Dlong, its definately a feel thing that no transcription or tablature will ever ever show you how to do. Its like trying to reproduce Dewayne Allman's slide work...its just not going to happen.

  • crowes rule !

  • best muthafuckin band to come out in years too bad no1 else realises this is what rock should sound like not that shit they put out now

  • Sofia Coppola, Stephane Sedanoui and The Black Crowes. A terrific combination!

  • genius'ssss

  • This reminds me of being 16 & a 8 ball, purple lights, and glow in the dark stars!!! YUP!!!! Bad Ass memories!!!! These guys were my fucking saviors!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!

  • far out. I love these guys.

  • One of the best ever!! Ive seen them and smoked a fat one whiole jamming out and being me!!!

  • I bought this on Vinyl - it never gets old! Friggin Awesome tune!

  • @jebodiahsmith Vinyl still blows everything else away. It's not doctored up, sugar coated bullshit-

  • 3 words explaining The Black Crows........BLUES WITH SOUL

  • The Humble Pie King Biscuit record is one the greatest live albums of all time, much better than Live at The Fillmore (although Hallelujah from LATF is a classic). Buy it!

  • The Black Crowes are the mostly consistently good rock 'n' roll band of the last 20 years. The Smokin' era Humble Pie are immortal though. RIP Steve Marriot and Greg Ridley.

  • This song is so spot on. I love these boys.

  • These guys are local for me....just up the road is where they come from......and this is their best for me.

  • Hey Chris, Rich, and the rest of the dirty birds....PAST and PRESENT.....you have given such a phenomenal gift of meaningful, soulful music, that in my humble opinion no other band has come close to matching...God bless, God's Peace!!

  • My first Concert was the Crowes when i was 16 on the Shake Your Money Maker Tour I Was HOOKED!!!!

  • awesome band!!! I saw the beginning and thought I was flashin but realized it was the vid. They have a lot of great talent but salvation is enough. Rock on!!!

  • sometimes... salvation!

  • yes, i'd like to get in on saying - i love the crowes. its great seeing so many say that - i don't know what it is about them that is so close to my soul.

  • what a damn good jam. love it

  • You know I forgot to mention my all time favorite Crowes tune, Girl from a Pawn Shop. If you don't know it, learn it!!

  • @mrlaymansterms1

Best track on 3 snakes, which is in itself a brilliant album,i also love Cypress tree on Lions which is another overlooked Crowes masterpiece.

  • Heavy, heavy, heavy. Other than Thick and Thin, this is their best

  • what an incredible piece of songwriting! this song is a testament to the amazing musical ability of this band

  • This song is amazing! It made me fall in love with the Black Crowes!

  • everybody listen to me when I say this! the black crowes ARE one of thee most soulful cats around. I LOVE THEM.

  • i agree solos with real soul and feeling are alot better than fast solos and the crowes are the band for sould and feeling !

  • Did you see them on SNL in '92? He was stoned out of his mind!

  • Who said a solo has to blazing fast or ridiculously technical? In my opinion those solos are the worst! A solo should capture the song in ways the rhythm guitar cant. It should have what the Crowes have - real feeling & soul! Not like some going nowhere metal solo with a bunch of sweeps and playing as fast as you can

  • Couldn't agree more! There are so many 'speed freaks' out there, but nowhere near enough guitarists who play with real feeling and soul like you said.

  • jealous.

  • Sorry jetpilot767... altough I'am completly in accordance with you... a press the wrong icon and give a negative pulse to your comment... here only to say that there are wisdom and good taste in your words... Marc Ford is a master!
