I AM GOING TO JUMP OFF THE GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE IN 1-3 MONTHS AND COMMIT SUICIDE TO DEMONSTRATE THE SERIOUS OF THIS MATTER. JAMIE DIMON AND THESE TELEPROMPTER READERS WILL GO TO JAIL.
I cannot fucking believe all that damned baggage being thrown out the window! What the hell were these people thinking? "Can't have my togs burning up now, can we?"
7 or 8 people on board, they all got out safely, finally but whats really amazing is it took all of 4 minutes and a little more to evacuate 7 or 8 people... there must have been over a dozen pieces of personal baggage thrown out of that cockpit window... I dont know but, bad crash landing, the plane catches fire, its burning... well, the heck with the bags, GET OUT!!!!!!!!
We were the ones that made this video, there's no footage of it landing. When we heard the crash, we grabbed the camera, headed out and that's where this video starts. As far as the camera moving around, he was standing in the back of a pickup, and with the combination of the wind and several explosions he did as well as anyone could. There's still about 4 or 5 minutes left off the end of the video showing the firetrucks coming and putting it out.
landed safe, aircraft suffered damage during pull up from dive. ripped the trim weights out of the tailplanes. emergency vehicles are always on hand when an aircraft lands damaged.
@kdraper2007 it didn't land safe, it was flown by an incompetent FO who had constant issues (including a few DUIs in the 90s). the FO was actually paired up with an instructor for this flight. she landed hard and one cause of the incident (other than the near-bounced landing) was the checkrider (captain) not intervening when it was clear she wasn't in control of the aircraft.
@phobal I guess you can imply what you want. She was not adequately trained in this type of aircraft thus not familiar with the techniques to deal with wind-shear in this aircraft. Also, since when does a DUI when you are in shcool equate to incompetency in and aircraft 15 years later? Your a typical ass who jumps to comclusions and wants to blame one person for everything. This was a combination of failure on many fronts as was addressed by the NTSB and the FAA.
wtf imagine if you were in that plane that would be fucking scary i was in a plane crash before it was fucking scary we crashed in water but most of the people survied
these nuts are brave, facing a burning plane that could explode anytime, and a huge amount of toxic smoke, they say, hey relax, we're FedEx! At least our bags arrived on time.
(c) The excessive vertical and lateral forces on the right main landing gear during the landing exceeded those that the gear was designed to withstand and resulted in the fracture of the outer cylinder and the collapse of the right main landing gear.
(b) The captain, who was conducting a line check of the first officer, did not adequately monitor the first officer's performance during the final stages of the approach and landing at Memphis and failed to take or initiate corrective action to prevent the accident.
NTSB reports says...(a) The first officer did not properly apply control wheel and rudder inputs to align the airplane with the runway centerline or apply appropriate back pressure on the control column to arrest the airplane's rate of descent before touchdown; as a result, the airplane touched down extremely hard while still in a crab.
I work for Fed-Ex. This incident is infamous. Evidently, a customer had shipped flammable dangerous-goods (DG), without declaring it. The DG was improperly stored with the non-DG packages. They lost several million dollars worth of freight, no to mention the plane. It almost cost the crew their lives.
So, did the shipper get any jail time for that? Personally, if I were the crew, I would spend a good bit of money tracking him down so I could punch him in the mouth. Repeatedly.
LOL I don't know what happened to the shipper. I vaguely remember someone saying that the shipper denied shipping dangerous goods because he knew his ass was facing jail-time. I don't think they could prove he did it.
mmmm, fink it may be a joke
