Kawaii!!!!! I think you have to be able to enjoy doing this everyday. My mom isn't that kind of a person. She just stuffed whatever she saw in our frige. My obento box wasn't kawaii either. So now, I'm making my obento everyday. And it looks super boring.

@keiandmic charaben is mainly meant for kids so that it looks interesting for them to eat it. kids like cute stuffs. haha! i like cute stuffs too; hence i decided to make tutorial; however in reality, if i am making bento for adult especially a man, it will be normal classic bento as they don't really appreciate the amount of time and effort you put into making a charaben. unless they are like teen boys. haha! the bottom line is making a healthy bento. ^_^

@foksyfox it's not iron. it's something like hard plastic kinda material. it's really famous to use as bento tool and it's easily available at 100yen shop. hehe!

@587Rachel it's greatly depends on the choice of foods that you use for your bento. some choices of vegetables or meat, the way it's cooked, it can be eaten cold after refrigerated. some places that sell bento are refrigerated so that the bento can stay longer out there and when consumer bought it, they can eat it right away because those choice of dishes can be consume chilled.
