Dante will always rule. He is nothing but a purely wicked awesome fighting machine. But I would have to say after playing DMC 3 special edition that Vergil would be top dog, but he jumped off a cliff and died. That was the biggest wtf moment in gaming history but it did raise anticipation for DMC 4.

Devil May Cry is awesome, it doesnt matter about the graphics, it is an awesome game, and a very good storyline....I havent played it in a few yrs, but I started playing it again the other day, no wonder why I like this game, you can kick ass...beat the shit out of enemies, be a bad-ass too while you're doing it...awesome game! :)

Sure, not the most amazing looking game ever, but certainly not bad at all.

More promptly, at least this game required you THINK and explore. No amount of button mashing would let you win(cept against mundus lol).

DMC2&DMC4...You find a key then find the door it goes to.

And survive. Some of the items you have to carry in this game have such life-depleting effects. On top of that, some of the missions force you to fight with those items on. I don't know if the later games did the same thing, but man, did DMC1 force me to fight smart and fight brutally fast in some of those missions.

@BigPapaPump9 It could be either Vergil's or Dantes. Would make more sense if it were Vergils. Basically Nero doesn't know his father. Maybe he didn't ever get to meet Vergil after Dante had defeated him and trapped him in the demon realm. Plus when Dante handed down Vergil's sword that seems to be an inheritence thing imo saying he was Vergils son. Just my idea on this. Though with DMC5 being a complete screw up we'll probably never find out exactly.

@BigPapaPump9 Unfortunatly they're rebooting DMC rather than explaining these issues that people would like cleared up. A few things sum up that Dante's the father and others seem to say Vergil is. Maybe Capcom will someday mention whose son he is. Though until then the mystery continues.

One of the reasons why I like him quite in a bit in this game; however, that line is quite the 'LOLWUT' buzzkill to his badassery in this cutscene. I always think he sees Trish's 'death' like seeing his mom dying all over again in front of his eyes and once again, it's to protect him and he couldn't do anything to stop it.
