The pickguard is thick plastic, so it shouldn't damage anything. If you want to be sure you don't make mistakes (drawing on the rest of the guitar), you can always unscrew the pickguard and customize it before you put it back on.

heh cool so you took some skulls that you liked and placed them with the shards from the razorback shards. it turned out nice for just doing the pickguard. i myself have a Dean Razorback shards, and im going to buld a custom here in the next year or so. anyway nice vid man

its a squire stractocaster. You buy them for around 220 bundled with an amp and some other stuff. It sound pretty good for the price and is a great starter guitar. And its not a knockoff,its made by fender.
